      I had two missed pick *** in one week. I submitted a report for the first missed pick up and had that report canceled by the company after calling and confirming that it had been submitted and they would be picking it up on Thursday. When I called to see why it was canceled without anyone letting me know, I was told there was a white truck in front of driveway and that they could not get to my trashcan. I know thats not true and was able to confirm that with my neighbors. I was also able to confirm that on the second missed pick up date there was nothing in front of my driveway and yet they still did not pick up for the second time this week. I cant get any response from anyone at the company to let me know when my trash will be picked up and what Im supposed todo. If I leave for work, and theres nothing in front of my driveway, on multiple days, and Im able to confirm that with other individuals. And Im told it will be picked up and then its not, I dont know what to do, especially when they close before you get home from work so you cant see whats going on. I pay way too much money and the bill was recently increased for this continued ridiculous service to happen.

      The driver servicing your account did not tag your trash cart to inform you that there was a truck parked too close to your cart and because safety is our number one priority, we would not be able to service you.

      You agreed that if your cart had been tagged then you would not have called in the missed pickup because you would have understood.

      You also informed us that the driver missed servicing your cart on your following service day as well.

      The Ops Manager will research on our end and will reiterate the process for non-service to our drivers.

      You also informed us that when you spoke with **************** regarding the missed pickup that the Reps were rude to you.

      We apologize for their rude behavior and want you to know that their supervisors will be pulling the recorded calls for coaching.

      We will also credit your account with the two missed pickups that you received.

      I have been trying to cancel my trash and recycling services with Republic Services #*** for more than a month. I am currently on my TWELFTH phone call with them. Republic Services didn't pick up my trash and recycling for three months so I decided to cancel. When I tried to cancel, over the phone, which is what Republic Services asks for, I was told to leave my bins outside for cleaning and pickup. The pickup truck then picked up one bin by leaving trash all over my property. I called again and left the recycling bin outside on the designated date. The recycling bin was never picked up. I called again and left the recycling bin outside on the designated date. The recycling bin was never picked up. I called again and chose a different date. Republic Services then TRESPASSED ON MY PROPERTY to LEAVE A NOTE ON THE *** that they couldn't pick it up. If they could walk all the way across the property to leave a note, they could have grabbed the bin. They refused to do so and the note they left was very nasty and left during an active trespass. When I called yet again, I was told I would receive an email from Republic Services with instructions on what to do with the remaining can, never received the email. Republic Services' behavior raises serious questions under the FTC's "Click-to-Cancel" rule.

      While driving on the interstate last month, a Republic services truck was negligent and not closing the container. Debris was flying out the back of the truck, and cracked my windshield and scraped my roof. It has now been a calendar month and this issue has not been resolved. Their insurance company has not gotten back to me despite multiple attempts, in the area supervisor is doing nothing to assist and just keep saying he is going to have the insurance company reach out. This was an incident that was caught on camera. The driver also tried to flee the scene, but I had to force him off the road to get his information.

      I am the owner of a restaurant and have been using Republic Services for waste disposal. Our original contract was set to expire in June 2022. In May 2022, I attempted to cancel the service by email, only to be informed that cancellations must be made at least 60 days prior to the end of the contract. Due to this clause, the contract was automatically renewed without my explicit consent.Since then, the billing has significantly increased with no clear justification. The cost of service has gone up dramatically, far beyond what would be expected with standard rate adjustments. I have tried to address this with the company but have been unable to get satisfactory support or transparency.I feel trapped in an ongoing contract that I never intended to renew, and the excessive, unexplained charges feel exploitative. I believe this is a predatory practice that takes advantage of small business owners like myself. I am requesting to immediately terminate my service with Republic Services without penalty and to receive a refund or adjustment for the unjustified rate increases.This situation has caused unnecessary financial strain on my business. I hope the BBB can assist in resolving this matter fairly.

      This customer attempted to cancel their contract with us back in May of 2023.   The customer was advised that they were under contract and we provided them with a copy of it.  Additionally, we offered to negotiate new rates or they could pay out the liquidated damages per the terms and conditions of the contract.   The customer ultimately allowed us to negotiate new rates which went into effect on 9/1/23.  Once per year the accounts are reviewed price adjustments.  He received a price increase in 2024 and another recently in 2025.  The invoice has an "Important Information" section that lets the customer know when a rate increase is about to happen.

      The customer called in on 12/30/24 regarding rates.  States would like to know the end date of the contract because rates are too high and considering cancelling.  *** *** reached out on 1/3/25 & 1/6/25 but the customer says they can't accept any calls at this time and to follow up on 1/8/25.  On 1/6/25 we gave the customer a credit for a charge due to the container being overfilled.  On 3/26/25 our *** attempted to reach the customer but the number wasn't in service.  On 4/9/25 the customer called our call center about the rates.  A sales *** spoke to the customer again.  There are no details to this call.  I will have the sales *** call the customer to discuss options in regards to pricing and the current contract.  I believe we can come to a mutually agreeable solution.

      I canceled my service for garbage pickup on or around December 31, 2024.Republic Services ceased the services immediately and I no longer put trash bin out for them to collect. They continued to bill me though and are now demanding me pay $237.47 for services they never provided and for services that I canceled. They are now threatening to send this to collections for payment which I have already told them I will not pay as I canceled my service and they incorrectly billed me for.

      I notice the beginning of March 2025 the trash truck had knock down my mailbox. The driver of the trash truck stated that he was going to repair/fix the mailbox. My daughter and I reported the incidents to the trash company. The trash company told me that they would look into the situation. I would like the trash company to repair/fix my mailbox. It was been over three months with no help from the trash company and I am having trouble getting my mail in and out the box. I would like the trash company to come out to my home and repair my mailbox as it was one of their Trash Truck Drivers that damage my mailbox. I have always paid my bill on time and again would like the Trash company to repair my mailbox.

      I lived in a different town in the same county and had their service there, and it was reasonable with some minor fees from 2021 - 2024. When I moved one town over, the service more than doubled, and fuel fees were added, making my bill nearly three times as much as before.I cancelled my service with them when I received a massive bill from them for the next quarter of service. When I cancelled, I was quoted $50 to have the can removed from my location after cancelling their costly service. I received a bill today for over $80 with a previous credit removed for unused prepaid service. They did not charge me the quoted $50 for the removal, but charged:$52.19 for removal $5.95 for an administrative fee $22.72 for Fuel/Environment Recovery fee HELLO, those fees should already be part of the service fee as the cost of doing business. Being on a fixed income, it is criminal that they are allowed to rip off customers with these fees.I contacted their competitor and got a quote of $322 for a year of serviceno additional fees or charges.Criminal business practice!

      I sold my home serviced by republic garbage 3/17/2025 at ******************************. The title ** Fidelity handling the sale must pay final, lienable utilities I owe to protect the buyer. Republic garbage apparently gave them a bill for the BUYERS and Fidelity Title paid it out of MY sale proceeds!! You can see 1. I did not owe, had a small credit of $26.00. 2. You can see on my final settlement stmnt the payout of $135.55 in March tho balance paid in full in Feb. 3. You can see there was never an application of said $135.55 to my pif account. 4. Attached copies of Fidelity's attempts to resolve. I have called Republic 3 times. They said they cannot discuss it with me as I did not write the check and that they applied it to the buyers account. This is NEVER done by escrow/title, they only pay sellers lienable bills. Republic suggests I call the buyer to get it back. Seller does not call the buyer's to collect money, it's Republics job to refund me or Fidelity the misapplied funds. Fidelity paid a bill submitted by Republic in good faith, and have attempted to resolve it to no avail. I am at my wits end. How can I get my money? How can Fidelity make them correct their error? Republic must get tons of final utility bill requests for every single home sake Republic Services. It makes no sense they can't, or won't, figure it out. Please help me.       I cancelled my service with this business on March 20, 2025, I was paid up until March 31, 2025, they have picked up their bins, and I was told I would receive a credit, but I am only receiving bills for $85.37 at least 4 bills have been sent, that I do not owe, the business has applied a credit $25.47 towards the $85.37 and I have paid the $59.90 balance, that I should have never paid. When I spoke with a *** name (*******) she stated that I would get a refund by check in the mail, but before I could ask how long it would take, she hung up, and this was on May 5, 2025, and I have not received anything. The business has not been helpful in anyway. Acct # **************

      My *** took over payment for Republic Services at the beginning of April. I called in early April to confirm which Republic did. They said I would be reimbursed for April as I had already paid the quarterly bill. They did not reimburse me, but kept billing me. They are now requesting money from me and my ***. I've called Republic many times, each time they all confirm the *** has been responsible and would correct the issue. I keep getting past due notices and threats they will remove the containers. I contacted someone again today and they said I need to prove the *** took over, it's not enough that their system shows they have and received payments for it. I am still receiving notices of past due balances that have been paid and not been reimbursed for the double charging they have done.
