      This lack of support for teachers is further highlighted by the fact that theres a lack of established curriculum.In addition to lacking support, the school also fails to betransparent about some of its policies in the interview process. There is no mention of the fact that teachers have no lunch break and must stay with their class at lunch, or that there is no support staff to assist with lunchtime duties. Yes, you read that rightteachers here do NOT get a lunch break but are not told that in the interview. Theres also no cafeteria so we do lunch outside in the *******. Additionally, the school encourages its teachers to volunteer to coach a sport or tutor, its unfortunate that its an unspoken requirement so they never tell you that until you start teaching. This requires the teacher to stay longer hours for something they arent even Prepared for or an expert at. Those who do not volunteer are shunned and looked down on for it.The school also lacks basic facilities such as a cafeteria and playground equipment, and despite prioritizing sports, I personally had to provide things for kids to do at lunch and recess like jump rope, frisbee, leading them in group games. They are just on a lunch and recess on a grass field with nothing else. Many kids have social, emotional, and behavioral issues. There is no social and emotional follow up to these behavior concerns, leaving teachers feeling unsupported. Often times The coach concept is not effective because the kids now know misbehaving gets them out of class and they get to hang with coaches who then just tell them to pick up trash, run it off and run laps, or do physical exercises that they enjoy. Theres a culture among the admin and office staff and tenured teachers of being rude, not welcoming, judgmental, and gossipy, creating a hostile and stressful work environment. This often happens group wide on GroupMe and in team meetings.
