I took my car in to the ****** ****** ****** discount tire for two tires. Upon completion I looked over wheels and tires and both wheels they change had deep scratches and gouges from them changing the tires. I emailed corporate and they said the store was supposed to contact me yesterday no suprise no call. I want my 600 dollar wheels fixed. I can submit pictures of all 4 wheels my other 2 wheels do not have this damaged as the tires were changed about a month prior.Business Response

On November 25th I made an appointment with Discount Tires to check a leak in the rear drivers side tire. It was victim to a road hazard, so having the certs in hand, I was ready to pay a replacement cert fee for my new tire.****** (who was great) suggested the other tire was needing to be replaced. These tires have a ****** warranty on them. I have driven ****** on them. WTF?! I originally bought them from Discount Tires. I bought the certs to go along with them. They should have another year and a half on them.They offered me a free replacement tire on the road hazard tire per the usual. They offered to replace the other (defective) tire for 1/2 the cost because of the warranty (great). My issue is they would not transfer the certification from the manufacturer defective tire on to the new tire replacement. They charged me $64.50 for the certification on the defective tire they sold me originally. That is a racket. I would understand if the tire had a road hazard and I used the certs or if the tire was a good tire and made it to manufacturer recommended mileage. Neither of those were true. I had to pay certs on a tire that was a terrible tire. Thats a scam. Wasnt my fault the tire was defective. The two front tires rated at a 7 the back two were at a 3. One if those had metal in it. Obviously the second tire was defective and I should have to pay for the certs again. I might understand having to pay half certs per warranty coverage. Total scam.Business Response

I purchased tires from Discount Tire in 2019. My tires have worn significantly since then with average driving miles. *** a flat while driving yesterday 11/20/23 home from work and made it to ***** thankfully for tire repair. Purchased a new tire for ****** and had it installed. I was told my Fronterra tires I purchased in 2019 were put on backwards being they are directional tires put on in the wrong direction unbenounced to me. This is dangerous and caused unnecessary wear to my tires that I purchased causing them to wear out prematurely. Im extremely disappointed in Discount Tire. Also had them recently rotated at Discount Tire. Will not be returning to any Discount Tire in the future. On November 17th, I paid $1200 online for 4 tires at Discount Tire at *****************************************************************. Today, the 18th, I called to see if the tires arrived at the store. Once confirmed, I arrived at 2:03 (no parking available so it took 5 ,minutes to get inside). After waiting for 30 minutes in line, a Discount representative took my key and advised that my car would be ready by 3:30. At 3:36, I received notice on my phone that my car was ready. The rims were filthy with brown waxy stuff and another employee handed me a lug key. I asked if he was sure it was mine and he said he got it from my trunk. Because a tow truck was picking up a car due to the lug bolts being so stripped that the manager suggested to another customer to have her car towed *********************** couldn't remove her lug nuts), multiple cars were backed up. I drove my car to a store and when I got home around 4:45, I started cleaning this brown waxy stuff off the front driver's wheel. I was able to hand loosen one of the lug nuts! I checked the other three wheels and EACH WHEEL HAD ONE LUG NUT THAT COULD BE LOOSENED BY HAND. This was not carelessness; this was done on purpose. Additionally, the key the employee handed me does not fit my lug nuts so I called and DT was closed. Someone else is out there with my lug nut and without theirs. I purchased tires from Discount Tire and took my car in after that for a free rotation and balance. They damaged my vehicle and it makes a loud squealing noise when driving as a result. Store reps teased me and said they could not hear the noise (its quite loud). They will not fix the damage they did to my vehicle. I am low income and drive for a living. I went into Discount tire at ****************, ** on Tues. Nov 14,2023 about 545pm. I waited almost 10 minutes for someone to check my left front truck ******** told them I came in last week to get air. The male rep told me go inside have them check tire. I went inside & ******* took his time with a customer while I waited 10 minutes for help. When he finally decided to help. It was 6pm. I told him please check my tire because he told me they closed at 6 and come back. I spoke up Friday. Nov 17, 2023 & my tire is completely flat. Im still believe my tire was damaged upon being mounted and balanced back in May23. There is a slice in the outer wall where the clip weight was. The integrity of the tire is compromised, and my safety as at risk (along with others) I was told to keep an eye on it and that Discount Tire along with ********************* will not warranty out the tire. Claimed we wont toss a whole car due to a dent in the door. The damage is in the inside next to the rim, I can not keep an eye on it. I do not have the equipment to remove my tire every day, nor should I have too. I look at it this way, there are barely any miles on the tire, so replacing it now would be cheaper for them. Because if there is a blow out due to this slice that was caused by the tech who worked on my tire back in May, Discount Tire will be held accountable. And if they keep fighting this, then there will be too much wear to replace just one tire. Both will need to be done. I dont want to put that kind of stress on my transmission. I had a set of four tire installed on my 2011 ***** s60 this afternoon. After the install was 90% finished a tech came out to inform me a rim they had already mounted a tire to was cracked. Unfortunately I know for a fact it was not cracked before arrival at their stores location. I asked him why didnt they call me over to see the damage before installing the new tire and how did they crack it. He didnt know and then tried to blame another tech who ran off. The crack is on the inside of the rim located at a starting point of where their tire machine would have used its hydraulic arms to secure the rim before popping the old tires bead off. This was caused by their tech misusing the machine which resulted in rim damage. The manager was also conveniently no where to be found.Business Response

10/27/23 I went to Discount Tires because my r-rear tire required air. I was told the tire needed replacement as it was "worn out." i expected the tire to be replaced because I had purchased a warranty plan, but I was told the tire did not fall within the terms of the warranty as it is wear/tear issue. *****, the manager, said he would call" *******, but i know what they will usually do-give you credit for 25% off." I did not accept for I wanted him to agree to the terms of the warranty, and give me a free tire.11/15/23 , ***** offered 50% but should the other tires need replacement, he would give me a discount.The store is ripping people off with this warranty plan. I want the warranty is stay effective on the original terms and my tire (s) replaced discounted and/or free.02/03/2022 I paid $1494 for 2 Pirelli Pzero $405, 2 certificates 138,2 installation& life of tire maintenance $398 x2, 1 certificate $67.75 (there were some discounts given>)Since the purchase, I had one tire replaced and I accepted responsibility. i went to discount tire on ********** in ******* 2 days ago to change a tire sensor and rotate my tires, when it was done i went home, the next morning when i turned my car on i noticed the dash saying the tire system was turned off, the low tire warning light came back on, now it says on my dash with warning saying unable to *********** system, the vehicle dash was fully operational when i took the vehicle to the discount tire shop, yesterday i went to them and their answer for their incompetence was and i quote "take it to ************ is going to charge me around 170 to reset my system, the shop's lack of knowledge, ignorance and incompetence, i'm disatisfied with their service and bad service and management.Business Response
