Solidarity won't reimburse us for the cost of our third kid because I didn't file a pre-birth note or something, even though I didn't know what that was. The supervisor who I talked to about it was extremely condescending.Solidarity Healthshare

Hello **** ******,
Thank you for contacting Solidarity HealthShare! We appreciate you for being a valued member for over 2 years.
We understand your frustration and sincerely apologize if your interaction with our team did not meet your expectations. We strive to treat all members with professionalism and compassion, and we take your concerns seriously.
Regarding your maternity reimbursement, it does appear that a few important steps were missed in the process. For all maternity services, Solidarity HealthShare requires a pre-notification to be submitted in order for the services to be eligible for sharing. However, if this was not completed beforehand, please know that a retroactive pre-notification can still be submitted after the services have occurred.
To assist you, we have already initiated the retro pre-notification process on your behalf. In order to move forward, we will need the following documentation:
1. A completed Statement of Conception form
2. Clinical notes from your provider, including the health and physical records from your initial prenatal visit
We have reached out to your provider, midwife ********** ******-*****, to request these records, along with an itemized bill for the maternity services.
Please note that our Member Portal is intended for bill submissions only. Uploaded Word documents or general forms that are not true itemized bills with appropriate medical coding cannot be processed. If you have received any forms or documentation and are unsure if they are needed, you are welcome to email them to ********************************** and we will gladly review them.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We are committed to assisting you through this process and ensuring your concerns are addressed appropriately.
Sincerely,
Solidarity HealthShare *********** TeamReview fromCatalina P

1 star***WARNING***Family was with Solidarity for 5 yrs, Bills total over $26,000 as of this year and in Final collections. Husband received summons at our door few years back -not our responsibility and don't need that again! Almost 100% of our bills during our time with Solidarity have landed in collection status. No guarantee provider will except repriced amount. Have exhausted attempts to place collection bills on hold. Have to prove to Solidarity credit has been dinged to get bills paid. Health has declined since dealing with Solidarity. One bill already dinged my husband's credit this year. We had to submit proof of dinged credit report before Solidarity did anything. Keeping up with these bills has turned into a part-time job on-top of my full-time job. I appreciate Solidarity providing with a spreadsheet of all my unpaid bills but it should not take over two years to pay bills. I also have many "deemed ineligible for timely filing" bills that Solidarity is not considering that are also in collections. A particular provider group won't write them off nor takes responsibility for inconsistent billing issues on their end. Lots of back and forth calls but nobody will pay for those additional bills! I don't appreciate the email I received this year notifying me that my bills are not a priority since I am to an active member. I was also told the same thing when I called last week! Please reconsider taking care of my ineligible for timely filing bills and please pay for There is something wrong with your business model since there are other health-shares out there that don't have these issues.Review fromTyler T

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. WARNING!!!! - SAVE YOUR FAMILY!!!I strongly warn against using this companypaying out of pocket is far better. They take your money and will harm your family. Our son was born in *********** at an exceptional hospital thats been incredibly patient (thank God), working with us compassionately. But Solidarity lies repeatedly, stringing us along. Every call, they read a script, feigning shock about unpaid maternity bills, saying, This shouldve been paid sooner; Ill escalate it. Weve heard this countless times with no action. Their Christian label is a shameful ployexploiting Gods name to gain trust is evil. Im heartbroken and desperate, unsure of any legal path forward. This is a burden to our small community hospital and extremely painful for my family. Please avoid them at all costs.Solidarity Healthshare

I am extremely disappointed with Solidarity HealthShare. They have failed to fully pay our healthcare provider for two significant shareable events: a pregnancy and a childs surgery. To date, we are still owed $11,000. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this, Solidarity has been unresponsive to our calls and has not worked out a solution for what they originally agreed to share when we signed up.After a year of frustration, we had no choice but to cancel our membership due to their non-response and nonpayment. To make matters worse, we have now been sent to collections because of their failure to pay, and we are deeply concerned that this will damage our credit and prevent us from buying a house. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I would not recommend Solidarity HealthShare to anyone. Their lack of accountability and failure to honor their commitments have caused us significant financial and emotional stress.Solidarity Healthshare

I have been a Solidarity member in good standing since 2019. Shortly after I joined Solidarity, I realized that claims are left unpaid for an indefinite amount of time. After almost 6 years of being with Solidarity, I have come to the point that I need to leave to do what is best for my families well-being. For the past two years, I only continue to stay with Solidarity in the hopes that my 2023 medical bills will be paid. I ordered my wife to not schedule any wellness checks in 2024 due to the fact that our 2023 medical bills were still left unpaid. The reason why I did this is because if it takes many years for a claim to be paid through Solidarity, every year we incur a bill will be years longer. I will need to stay as an active member to allow my bills to be a priority for Solidarity. I have shared in previous reviews that although I am a member of good standing since 2019, I am trying to find a way out but only after my past bills are paid off. Unfortunately, I cannot jeopardize my familys well being, both physically & financially anymore and will be leaving soon. I have asked Solidarity to pay for our 2023 bills before I exit (approximately March 1, 2025), but they could not guarantee this. I appreciate their kind, ***************** but the lack of answers when a bill will be paid overshadows how they treat customers. What good is kind **************** if you provide a product that does not provide QUALITY service. I suggest Solidarity be honest to their consumers from the get go and let them know bills can go unpaid for more than 18+ months and can also force providers to forward unpaid bills to collections. That way, consumers know the consequences of joining Solidarity. NOTE: If a Solidarity representative tries to reach me after reading this review, please make sure your have a date in mind when our 2023 unpaid bills with Solidarity will be paid.Solidarity Healthshare

Thank you for reaching out to Solidarity HealthShare. We sincerely appreciate your involvement in our ****************** We are committed to supporting you and facilitating the sharing of your eligible medical bills in accordance with our HealthShare Sharing Guidelines. We understand and empathize with your frustrations. Unlike health insurance, which offers guaranteed coverage for a fixed premium, health share plans rely on a group of individuals who voluntarily come together to share one another's medical expenses monthly. Its important to note that medical expenses can fluctuate, and we cannot guarantee a specific timeframe for sharing your needs. The size and number of medical expenses in each batch can vary, making it difficult to determine an exact timeline. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work toward sharing your medical needs. In the meantime, our *********** Team is here to assist you with any collection efforts you may encounter. We can coordinate a three-way call with your providers to request a hold on your accounts while your service dates are finalized. As mentioned in our previous communication. One of our member care team members will call you to answer any questions you may have.Review fromClaire B

Solidarity was nothing except a frustrating, time-consuming, expensive headache! For years they claimed having a 'new' system that was making processing payments take longer than their promised time. Do not expect to get anything done in a timely manner. Do expect to have to pay far more out of pocket and wait a year for reimbursements and to get calls, letters, texts and emails from collection agency because of Solidarity's numerous failures. They don't even deserve 1 star for the waste of a business they are.Solidarity Healthshare

I have been incredibly disappointed with Solidarity Healthshare. My wife and I had a child 2.5 years ago and still have over $10k in bills that have not been paid and have been sent to collections. They also owe us around $2k in reimbursements. Anytime I talk with someone there, they don't know how long it will be before we see our reimbursement or bills paid. Just that they have been pushed into a batch and are waiting for the checks to be written. I'd be happy to change my rating if they would begin paying for bills and reimbursing us. Sadly, outside of *********, all the employees seem very rude and are unhelpful when I call.Solidarity Healthshare

We have been waiting 3 years for Solidarity to pay from my husband surgery. We paid some of the bills out of pocket. Other bills have been sent to collections. When I call Solidarity, their representative says that my husband's bills are in a "batch" waiting to be paid. I advise you NOT to join this health share. It has been nothing but a headache for us!!Solidarity Healthshare

Hello ******, We are committed to serving you as you were a Sharing Member for (3) years. Health share plans are arrangements where a group of individuals voluntarily come together to share in each other's medical expenses as to where health insurance offers guaranteed coverage for a set premium. When a medical need is completed, waiting to be shared for payment, we do not have an exact timeframe as to when each submitted medical need will match sharing dollars. Upon reviewing your account, (2) medical needs have completed processing, awaiting to match with sharing dollars. Billing details will be sent to you in a personal email. Please note, per our Sharing Guidelines, only Sharing Members with an active Membership will have their Eligible Medical Expenses Shared. However, at this time active Members medical needs are prioritized first, with inactive Members medical needs being in line after that. Once the medical need(s) are shared for payment, you along with your Provider will receive a copy of the *** (Explanation Of Sharing) in the mail. I appreciate your recent outreach and want to provide some clarification. Regarding transparency and not providing an exact timeframe for the release of each batch containing your medical needs, this is because Solidarity HealthShare is a healthcare sharing ministry, medical expenses are shared by Members each month. Due to the varying number and size of each batch, we do not have an exact timeframe. Solidarity HealthShare implements a practice called Distributed Share Balance. Solidarity is NOT insurance, so we do not collect and hold medical reserves in a centralized bank account. Instead, the Monthly Share Amount is set at a level to build a small balance (or reserve) in every Members individual share account. These Distributed Share Balances enable Solidarity HealthShare to better manage the ebb and flow of medical usage and medical needs payments. Once all the allocated funds have been transferred from the Members who were matched to pay your medical bill, those funds are released to be shared. The transfer of funds out of your Virtual Bill ******* will be displayed as a single line-item transaction in your Share *******. In addition, ******************** provides transparency to its Member's by providing access to annual audits upon request. No star Terrible experience with this company. We had a medical bill submitted on time, solidarity required additional info ie. Tax ID info and diagnostic codes they show the bill was repriced (processed?). However the bill was still outstanding so when I called to question ***** from Solidarity had me contact UofM billing to inform them that the action was in review and not to send it to collections than all of a sudden I received an EOS requesting accident details (this was never an accident) so it was resubmitted and than denied because of timely filing. Somehow when you call about your original filed medical bill and they gather new info they request and submit the info you provide that they requested it goes thru as a new claim at the current date. I did speak to them again and after much digging found all bills filed for the same date of service were being sent over and would take another 120 days to process. Everything is poorly managed, they are good to take my monthly dues on time but cant get a bill processed or paid on time. Although we have a rule to timely filing to follow they continuously had excuses and extensions on my bills (never)getting paid. I now currently have a law office contacting me to pay the bill or go to court. Because I no longer support solidarity taking my monthly dues I am not getting much feedback from anyone on how to solve this issue - keep in mind before I terminated my relationship with them they informed me that any bills that were outstanding from the previous years (because I still had bills pending pay from 1-2 years prior) they would still continue to work them. I asked why so long and year after year it was the same response we took over a new system to help this work better and its taken longer than planned to get the back log caught up. No matter what DONT join Solidarity Healthshare someone is making good money off our monthly dues and others are getting stuck with long over due bills!Solidarity Healthshare

MD would give them a minus 5 stars if that was an option! I have never been taken to collection in my life for anything until I signed up with Solidarity Healthshare, we have been taken to collection for EVERY medical bill we received. I was paying almost a $1000 a month for years, but they never paid any invoice on time. No provider, hospital or physician, would wait two years to get paid, so we ended up in collections for each of our medical bills.Solidarity Healthshare
