Would never use. Car was towed here on a Sunday. They have a 2 hour wait window that does does not start until in front of building. So even though 45-2 hours was window would. It start until here. Then a tow came in and that driver can not help me as he was not assigned to me. I get to wait longer for the tow driver who is assigned to me. Clear they could care less about customer service. They make money off the tows from the apartments and police. The individual means nothing to them in terms of how to treat them. Avoid at all costs. All City Towing

The vehicle was towed from private property, as it was parked on private property without the required permit. That being said, waiting as long as you did for the after hour release is contrary to our standard business practice. We fell short of our customer service standard on this occasion and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you incurred as a result.Review fromAlvin C

This will confirm e-mail receipt of the consumer review on April 17, 2024. The person who posted the review is not recognized as our customer nor are they the former registered owner of the vehicle in question; however, we are providing a detailed response regardless as she indicated she was the sister of the former registered owner.
We have carefully examined the circumstances surrounding this incident. The vehicle in question was towed back on February 27, 2024, at the direction of the ******* ****** **********. As it was towed at the direction of a law enforcement agency, the statute requires payment of all towing and storage fees prior to release. Moreover, the requirements for the release of the vehicle and/or any property in the vehicle are controlled within contract and statute. Lastly, the rates charged for the services rendered are also set by contract. The rates are not random nor are they negotiable.
At the time of the tow, the ******* officer issued our company a vehicle removal report. The report details the pertinent information about the owner (if known) and the vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the scene after it was determined to be abandoned by ******* **. It was then towed to our secure storage facility located at 4543 E University in Phoenix. The ******* ** vehicle removal report details the vehicle was disabled, which is consistent with the condition of the vehicle at the time we arrived on scene. We did not access the interior of the vehicle at the scene, on the way to our secure storage facility or at the time the vehicle remained at our storage facility. The interior of the vehicle is in disarray, to say the least.
On April 9, 2024, some 43 days after the vehicle was towed, the former registered owner’s sister called our offices three (3) times asking for information and making requests. We provided her with the information she sought and advised her we were unable to disengage with the statutory abandoned vehicle process. She was referred to the ***** ******* **********. She was also advised exactly what was needed to claim the property and/or the vehicle. It was also suggested to her on 2 occasions to call ******* ** to see if there was something they could do to assist her, as they were the towing agency. Finally, she was advised the “friend” she mentioned could also be granted access but the same documentation would be required, per statute and contract. She called again on April 12, 2024, and made threats of an attorney’s involvement as well as her involving the new stations. We are not sure why but perhaps she (erroneously) believed they could provide her leverage in this situation.
Title was transferred to our company on April 11, 2024, via the statutory abandoned vehicle process. While we sympathize with the reviewer and her brother, we do not control the requirements of the statute, the notification process during the process or the transfer of the title at the end of the process. We simply followed the statute that requires us to file with ***, or face harsh penalties should we fail to comply.
We lawfully towed the vehicle, stored it according to the terms and conditions of our towing services contract with ******* ** and followed the abandoned vehicle process, per statute. The reviewer’s recollection of the (recorded) telephone conversations she had with our employees is not accurate. Nonetheless, we would permit her or any other authorized individual to come to our facility and retrieve the property in the vehicle. This is being done as a courtesy not as a requirement. We are unable to assist her or any other authorized party with removal of the property, as the condition of the interior of the vehicle supports the belief that the safety and health of our employees should remain top of mind.
We thank you for the opportunity to review and respond appropriately to this inquiry.
Sincerely,Review fromBarbara M

This will confirm receipt and review of your e-mail received Sunday, 2/11 at 7:36A in connection with the above captioned matter.
We have carefully examined the circumstances surrounding this complaint. The owner and/or custodian of the vehicle is subject to the parking rules and regulations as noted on the lease agreement and/or the community CC&Rs. The vehicle was in violation of the parking rules and regulations surrounding fire lane and prohibited parking. No street parking is allowed. There is more than ample signage on the property detailing that street parking is not permitted. Photos of the signage are unfortunately unable to be uploaded on a review but they are for a complaint.
The Complainants vehicle was towed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Vehicle Towing Services contract we have with the property management company who services the ******* ******************** The Complainant does not share the fact that the vehicle was parked in violation of the parking rules and regulations that govern this property. Nor does he share the fact that he was parked in a fire lane (in the street), as designated by the ************ Fire Marshal. No street parking is permitted in the neighborhood.
Our company is contracted with the ******* ******************* *** to enforce street parking 24/7/365. We possess multiple photos clearly showing the vehicle in question was parking in violation of the parking rules and regulations for this property. The photos confirm there are no other vehicles parked in the street, aside from the Complainants and our tow truck. We have been towing from this property for over 7 years.
Our investigation into this matter clearly reveals our actions were in accordance with best practices, the ******* Revised Statutes/**** City Codes governing private property towing as well as the terms and conditions of the Vehicle Towing Agreement contract for this location.
We thank you for the opportunity to review and respond appropriately and factually to this customer review.Review fromKelly S

All city towing towed our car July 24th the vechile was parked outside the house ************** taged it and gave the usual amount of time to move and tho I was was there at the time of the tow they took it anyway...all city towing has been unprofessional rude and even tried but failed to file abandoned title. We where charged 57 dollars a day plus tow fee. Outrageous considering we had done nothing to warrent the tow in the first place. When it was brought to the attention of the person at the desk about the fee cap according to ars code She said this is *************** pricing..the first time we went to pick the vechile up they said no amex but acourding to the contract I looked up online between ***************, they took all cards as payment. The second time we went and afyet calling in route we pulled up two minutes late and we're rudely sent on our way. The third and final time we where charged ***** for thirty days holding our car, because the car was being worked on it was necessary to have it towed out .and here's the most disgusting part, when my husband asked for a price to tow elsewhere he was quoted the following, 350 to hook it up plus five dollars a mile.. how can a legit company act so caviler about the outrageous price they charge to ad insult to injury charge that kind of price to tow to repair shop...I always thought people were stretching it with all the stories ive heard about the shady practice of tow yardz I don't feel that way anymore after our experience. Im sure not a thing will be said to the rude women who was up front and gave us the 350 quote to tow and I'm sure all city towing will feel justified in charging 57 dollars a day for our vechile to sit on there dirt lot wow rents really gone up everywhere even in the dirt..shame on you all city towing for the way you treat people the prices you charge and the unprofessional staff only speaking on the 20thstreet location of course.i hope to never do business with this tow service againAll City Towing

This will confirm receipt and review of the BBB e-mail received earlier this morning. This matter is outside the purview of the BBB. Complainant is upset because we are adhering to the ******* Revised Statutes relating to abandoned vehicles and our towing services contract we hold with the *************** police department. We dont have an option to disregard statutes or the contract. As such, we respectfully request this matter be removed from our record. Regardless, we have carefully examined the circumstances surrounding this incident. The vehicle in question was towed at the direction of the ************************* on July 24, 2023. If and when the City calls us, we are required to arrive timely and provide the contracted service. In this case, the vehicle in question was being towed as it was in violation of ******* City Code (PCC 36). We did not determine the vehicle was in violation but rather the police department did. They called, we arrived and we towed the vehicle as we are required to do by contract. Our towing and storage rates are set by contract. The Complainant is free to take issue with the contracted rates; however, those rates are contractual and therefore, not negotiable. We received no less than 8 documented phone calls on this vehicle between the time it was towed on July 24th and the day it was released on August 24th. I listened to each recorded phone call and spoke with the employees involved. I am confident our employees provided professional service to the Complainant. Any indication that our contract with ******* requires ** to take **************** is 100% fabricated. I reviewed the contract and it does not indicate such. Any indication we were charging rates in excess of the contracted rate is also 100% fabricated. Moreover, the fee cap indicated within the complaint is not related to police ordered tows but rather *************************; therefore, any indication this fee cap should apply in this instance is incorrect. As for the inference we somehow did something wrong by complying with the statutes relating to abandoned vehicles, we respectfully disagree and submit the facts would prove otherwise. We are required by statute to file this paperwork and if we dont do so timely, we are subject to severe penalties. We followed the law and filed the required paperwork timely with ADOT/MVD in this instance. The Complainant is clearly frustrated and we understand why this is the case; however, their frustration is misdirected. We did not tag the vehicle. We did not determine it was parked in violation of PCC 36. We also did not park the vehicle in violation of PCC 36. Decisions always have consequences. In this case, the decision on where to park the vehicle became one that was costly with respect to the Complainant. The choice of a parking spot was the Complainant's alone, not ours and not ******* PDs. Thank you for allowing ** the opportunity to appropriately respond to this complaint with factual context. All City Towing

All City Towing towed my truck from a permitted parking spot at Camden *****, claiming that I had no permit. When I arrived to get my truck they proceeded to show me pictures of the dash that clearly showed my permit on the dash. The sun shade had shifted down and covered part of it, clearly during towing, but it was still visible. The employees then proceeded to verify that the permit was correct and then let me take it without charge this one time. The only pictures that were sent to the leasing office was a front windshield picture, telling me that the driver didnt even try to look on the dash and just towed my truck. Their laziness and lack of thoroughness in checking permits caused me to lose money cause I had to leave work to get the truck. Horrible experience all around. All City Towing

This will follow our receipt and review of the review dated July 12, 2023. The vehicle in question was towed from private property. The owner/management company associated with this location requires parking permits to be prominently displayed when parking at this location. The permit for this location is intended and required to be hung from the rear view mirror. A review of 3, forward-facing photos of the vehicle, taken by our driver at 2:06A on 7/12, prior to towing the vehicle show the required parking permit was not properly displayed nor was it visible at the time of the tow. As a result, the vehicle was towed in strict compliance with the towing services contract we hold for this location. A review of two forward-facing taken on the day the vehicle was claimed by the Complainant are just as inconclusive. In the first photo, the permit is once again not visible; however, in the 2nd photo a portion of the permit is visible but not enough of it is visible to verify it is a valid permit. Given that the permit was in the vehicle at the time of the tow, it was determined to be valid and despite it not being visible or properly displayed at the time it was towed, we made a decision to release the vehicle to the Complainant at no charge. This was done as a courtesy to him and the property management company but not as a requirement, given the fact that the permit was not properly displayed nor was it visible. We did nothing wrong here, contrary to the allegations laid out in the review. We would have uploaded the photos; however, the response forum does not allow uploading of data. If the BBB would like copies of the photos, which support the details within our response we are happy to provide same. We appreciate the opportunity to provide some clarity on this subject and submit an appropriate response. Thank you.Review fromBrandon J.
