    We rented a car thru ****** first time were quoted $542.23 when we arrived at Budget in ******* they said they did not have a car ready they would upgrade for $49.00 more we received our Jeep Grand Cherokee it was a death trap went 2 miles down the road and could not keep it straight went back to return it and they tried to give us Brand new ***** Silverado but we declined to bis so ended up with original car we reserved an intermediate SUV 1.5 hours later we filled it with gas and returned on time they have you just leave the car nobody there to check you out. When we got the **** bill the charged us $1039.55 and will not work with us WILL NEVER USE BUDGET AGAIN. Total rip off and they do not care about customer service and ************* was no help either

    I did a car rental through the website prepaying for the car. When we arrived at the counter I was given a key for the car we prepaid for. I had rented a mid size SUV and ended up with a ***** CX5. As soon as we got started it up the light was on to service engine. The phone adaptor charger did not work and the brakes were horrible. We filled up the car before returning it back after our 2 weeks of rental. I then discovered a charge of $236.36 on my card. I reached out to Budget to find out what the charge was and was told it was because I received a bigger car than I had rented. 1. I didn't have a choice in the car I received 2. I went back and looked at the terms and conditions website and no where did it say that I would be charged an additional fee for what a daily rate would be for renting a different vehicle than what I prepaid for. I then reached out to my credit card company to dispute. Just received the letter stating they wouldn't refund it because Budget said I rented it for the term and that was the extra rate??? Still don't' know what for. so the card company rejected my request. I went through the documents the card company received from budget and still see nothing for additional charges. I will never again rent from them. I have to give them at least 1 star but I wouldn't even give them that if I was able to.

    Location: ********************** Normally I've had great experience with Budget Rental care but this past weekend when we picked up our car it was with a half tank of gasoline. We did not notice however until the next morning. With that, i took a picture of the dash with the mileage and gas level showing.When I returned the vehicle I filled the tank to full because I feared I would be charged for a half full tank if I didnt. I dropped the vehicle off prior to the offices opening and the attendant that checked the cars in told me to just take a pic and send it in on the app. I did this and contacted customer service and they refused any sort of refund (my estimate only $20). this is the response I received:The records we have indicate the vehicle was issued with a full tank and returned at (gas level). As we do not have documentation on the rental agreement in our system, nor do we have any file supporting **************** was contacted about the fuel level immediately after the vehicle was picked up, we cannot provide a fuel adjustment on your rental agreement.I guess my picture of proof meant absolutely nothing..... In my opinion, this is horrible customer service.

    We rented a car at the *********** airport. We waited about an hour because the only clerk working was chatting and sharing cell phone pictures with his friend. We finally got a car and it was filthy and had a horrible smoke smell. We went back to get a new car. After driving to the hotel from the airport, we found out the passenger seat was soaking wet. We called budget and were very rudely told there was nothing they could do. We then got a flat tire on the second day of our three day trip. We worked with budget to tow the car as they did not provide a spare. The representative forgot to schedule our tow truck so we spent the entire evening/night waiting for a tow and trying to get a new car. We had to pay to get ourselves ******************* to get the new rental car. This new rental car smelt even worse of smoke, but we were told thats all they had to offer. Four weeks after returning home, we received a bill for the tow of the car with the flat tire. We spent 2 hours just trying to get a hold of a representative that could help us. The supervisor who finally didnt hang up was extremely rude and tried to say it was our fault for not making sure we had a reliable car when we drove it off the lot. We were finally granted a courtesy of removing the tow charge. I will never rent with Budget again.
