I hired ******* and ***** Gomez to build an addition to my mother's house. The original quote was 27k to build a room, a bathroom, and laundry room with A/C unit included. The size of the area is a little under 500sqft. I gave them 10k as a down payment. Throughout the work being done, ***** and his crew of 3 workers would show up basically whenever they wanted to. There was no consistency with their schedule. Some days they would work an hour, some days 5 hours. No more than 6 hours in a day. They maybe worked 3 or 4 days out of the week. The days were never consistent on when they would show up. About 3 weeks into the job ***** stated they needed more money for material and that the price would go up to 30k due to prices and cost going up in lumber and materials, I understood and agreed with this price. I gave them another 10k. About 2 weeks after that ***** told me he would have to raise the price again to 37k and that he needed more money again for materials. I told him he would have to put everything in writing again in the proposal and contract. ***** agreed. ***** gave me a contract but without his business license or business tax ID. He also did not include the A/C unit. I had several discussions with ***** about this issue. Nothing was resolved. They left the addition undone. Used cheap material and scammed my mother who is 71 years old senior citizen out of 20k. These people are scam artist, and they should not be operating a business. I want my money back and for these people to not scam poor people out of their money.

I contracted Gomez Roofing operated by ******* and ***** Gomez. A complaint has been placed with the Arizona Registar of Contractors under case 2025-04309. It has been deemed that Gomez Roofing is not licensed with the registar and may have contracted me and my mother in violation of Arizona state statues ARS ******* and *******. There known addresses are as follows ******************************************************************** and ***********************************. There email is ********************************************* ******* and ***** Gomez were contracted to build a laundry room, bedroom and bathroom at ******************************. This would include the removal of existing porch, doors, windows, tile, plumbing, heating and cooling hvac A/C unit, paint, stucco, compound finish and texture. The original quote was $27,000.00 dollars. A deposit of $10,0000 dollars was given to start the project. ***** Gomez and his crew of 3 employees who's names I do not remember started the removal of the porch and framing of the house. Within 1 week I noticed Gomez Roofing were cutting corners in their work. The workers were also not showing up on the specified times they said they would be. Little by little the quality of work was diminishing. Also ***** and his employees would show up hung over and the smell of alcohol was strong in their body odor. Within 3 weeks of working ***** asked for a other deposit and a new quote of $30,000 dollars due to rising cost of material. I agreed and explained the quality of work must improve. Within another 2 weeks of work after the second quote, ***** asked for more money and again raised the price to $37,000 dollars. I asked for another writen contract and invoice to include their business license number. A new invoice was printed out without any licensing number. I explained to ***** that he would not get anymore money until this information was given and on paper. ***** and ******* ***** AKA Gomez Roofing abandoned the job
