      In July I spoke with a representative and noted that I was interested in a package that LaserAway was offering at the moment. During the phone call, I created a UAS account (which from my understanding, was simply a portal to make my monthly payments through) and when we got to the portion of the call when I would need to commit / provide billing info, I told the associate that Id like to put a pin in the conversation and pause the process. within that next week, I decided I didnt want to move forward with the services so I did not contact LaserAway again. I received a couple of texts from UAS stating finish setting up your portal but nothing official stating you owe x amount of money this month. After August, I stopped hearing from UAS or LaserAway. Now (in January ****, 6 months later) I received a call from a debt collector noting that I owe them $2600 to LaserAway, even though I never finished filling out my registration, provided payment or received any services. The debt collectors are letting me know that if I do not pay soon, my credit will be negatively impacted. I have called LaserAway twice in the past ***************************************************************************************************** ***** hours, even though this is a very urgent matter. They also noted that they have in their history that I signed up for a loan to pay for these services which I NEVER agreed to. I wouldnt have even considered taking out a loan for a cosmetic treatment as minor as this so that is very misleading in and of itself. I would love to speak with someone ASAP as this is very fraudulent and could impact my credit very seriously.

      On 12/28, I called to cancel a $1000 contract due to health reasons, as I cannot proceed with the procedure. Despite the representative's assurance of a callback within ********************************** Last week, I tried reaching a manager without success. I also emailed cerritosstore@laseraway with the attached invoice for cancellation.Since there has been no response, I urgently request a refund and cancellation to the third-party vendor for the payment made through them. I cannot be held responsible for a procedure I haven't undergone, and I anticipate a swift resolution to this matter.

      I had questions regarding my treatment plan and lack of results based on my previous experience with laser hair removal. No one could answer my questions or provide me with any kind of educational conversation pertaining to my treatment so I requested my medical records. My medical records were illegally withheld for me 6 days past the 15 day grace ****** from the day I paid to retrieve them. Within this time, I was argued with by *****************************, from their corporate client experience team, on my need to obtain them and was told that my records wouldnt show me anything and that For hair removal, the only important thing is slightly adjusting the settings each time. Hair is slightly different colors and textures, and not homogenous. So, those slight variations will respond to slight adjustments on a few energy points. We've been able to do this for you. They finally released them to me once I let them know they were in violation of 45 CFR. ******* (c)(2) and I would be submitting a complaint to the Medical Board of **********. My records showed that they in-fact did NOT increase my settings each time and there were two treatments (which if you break it down cost $455.50 each) that my settings were not increased despite me voicing my concerns before and after those two appointments and per *****, is the only important thing, so the ball was dropped. I have asked for the two sessions to be credited back to my account in addition to one extra session as they have completely thrown me off my treatment course again. I have had multiple appointments canceled that I was able to prove I confirmed, throwing me off my treatment course prior to this even and I found that a treatment I never had done at Laser Away was on my medical records (it gets taken as credit from your prepaid treatments). No one will take ownership of the mistakes made proven by my medical chart and I have been entirely ghosted and need help getting a resolution.

It seems we've tried to provide you a better explanation and understanding from both the customer service and ********************** level. As previously explained, please be assured that your settings were within the protocol designed for your skin type and treatment number. Before treating, clinicians will review your previous settings and how your skin is presenting at the time of treatment in order to determine the best settings to use and will make adjustments accordingly. Settings are much more complex to understand than a simple "low/med/high" option (which is also not an option with Cynosure) and cannot typically be understood by the regular person. 


      Overall, I understand that your major concern is with your reduction. Typically, patients will start out with 8 treatments for body areas. Please keep in mind that there are many factors that can affect your overall results such as ethnicity, hair thickness, hormones, etc. If you've noticed that there has been a reduction in hair, slower growing hair, and/or finer, sparser, patchy hair that is a great sign that treatment has been effective but you may just be one of those people who needs more treatments for further reduction. While I understand this may not have been your anticipated result, it is very common. Reduction can vary from person to person and even area to area. For this reason, we offer our existing patients a 55% discount on single treatments or 3-treatment packages on areas that have been previously purchased. As recommended, we strongly encourage that you purchase additional treatments if you'd like to further your progress with your results.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      My major concern is that less effective treatments were provided to me and I was lied to about it. While my medical records were being withheld from me from *****************************, he was telling me that my settings had been increased each time which I found out was completely false when I was finally able to obtain said records. It became very obvious why he would not give them to me as there were three consecutive treatments with the same exact settings despite me voicing my concerns at those appointments.  I dont understand how these factual numbers have been up for debate.  I get mistakes happen, but people should get the treatments they are paying for.  You provided less effective treatments, which is incredibly shady business practice, although smart to keep people coming back more often.  

      I am fully aware that I was going to have to purchase future treatments as I have had laser hair removal in the past.  I was asking questions, trying to make an informed decision on whether or not I would continue treatments with Laser Away versus going somewhere else since I was not seeing the results that I expected based on my past experience with laser hair removal. I expressed my concerns on the efficacy of my treatments at prior appointments and it was not until the front desk manager, *****, got involved after she has asked me how my treatments were going after my 6th appointment. I told her the same concerns I voiced with the nurses prior which is that I feel like the laser isnt really effective and that I feel like I should be much further along. There was never any kind of consultative conversation had from the nurses I was always just told something to the effect of lets just see how you do after this appointment (while we fail to increase your settings..).

      ***** offered me to purchase more appointments at a discounted price and also suggested maybe splitting my last 2 appointments to target my areas of more times. I told her I want to see how the 7th appointment goes then decide from there. Prior to coming in for my 7th appointment, I called her and asked questions about my treatment thus far to make a decision on splitting my appointments up and or purchasing more treatments. ***** said she would review my chart with a nurse which she did and called me back and let me know they would use a higher setting at my next appointment (my 7th appointment) due to my concerns.

      Upon checking in for the 7th appointment,***** walked back with me and all that was said to the nurse was use the higher setting which you can see reflected in my medical chart. That was the first time I felt like I had a laser treatment done as far as the treatment itself and having the hairs fall out of the follicles afterward etc. The request to use the higher setting was the red flag that made me start to question the treatments I had been receiving all along. Per my chart, settings were increased each time until appointments 5 and 6 and it's very disappointing that I should have had two treatments with those higher settings had they been increased each time as that is "the only important thing" with laser hair removal per *****************************. I want these treatments credited back to me to compensate for the mistake of not doing what is important for an effective treatment course, which is to "slightly increase the settings each time."

We've done our best to thoroughly explain how the treatment works, settings, as well as connected with you with the regional medical director to address your concerns from the medical end. Laser hair removal results can vary from patient to patient which is disclosed in your treatment consent forms. We recommend to start out with at least 8 treatments but, due to the many factors involved, it's very common for some patients to need more. This is why we provide our "maintenance" packages with a 55% discount for those who would like to achieve more reduction or maintain their current results. If you would like to purchase a maintenance package, I am happy to extend 1 free treatment for all your current areas with your purchase as a gesture of goodwill and customer service.

      Please find attached letter explaining a local business swindled my college daughter (19 at the time no job), out of $2,000.00 for 3 visits of Bikini lasers using my **** credit card opening a credit card for her but charging her $2,000.00 for the services. Telling her they did not take debit cards nor **** cards but they could open her a line a credit with ******** a credit company Laseraway owns. She never applied nor signed for this credit line, nor filled out a credit application. They just needed her Debit card number and her parents **** card #! My daughter explained it was not her ****. They stated that was fine! Well, I found out months later this ************* card is owned by ************* when they were continuing to try and pull up my credit or report I had a credit card under this Bank I did not recognize? It turned out to be Laseraway. I never authorized nor signed any type of agreement with Laseraway, Alpheaon Credit nor ************* in anyway to ok credit for this charge. Nor did my daughter. This is just getting worse. Neither my daughter nor I am responsible for this outstanding $2,000 credit bill with Laseraway. This is fraud and ************* pulling up my credit for ************* Cards has gone beyond Fraud. I am going to go to an attorney Next if this invoice is not completely credited to zero by the end of January and my name is removed completely from all credit information regarding Laseraway, Alpheaon or ************* that has to do with my daughter ***************************. This has all been Fraud from the beginning, and if I have to make time to go to court regarding this entire issue, I will be suing for a lot more than the original $2,000.00. There will be for my costs and time, and of course the Fraud issues of filing credit reports without my approval. This has been not only a trying experience for my daughter, you have brought myself into it. I have been nice so far with explaining the situation.Sent from my iPhone

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, my daughters contact information is ********************** her phone number is ************. However, my complaint is this credit card company ************* did NOT have authorization to give credit or pull credit on myself ***************************** or my daughter at any time. They gave credit based on my credit information pulled on the date in which they gave my daughter credit from a company alphaeon of $5,000.00 my credit was pulled on this date by ************* and I never applied for credit nor gave authorization to such bank to pull my credit in my name. This giving my daughter based on my credit as a parent credit in the amount of $5,000 which neither of requested nor asked for or signed into a legal contract with this banking institution. They forwarded a signed agreement in which is not my daughters signature nor is mine with *************. However ************************************************************* the name of ************** Which is it? Alpheon or Comenity? This is getting more & more bizarre. She has NOT signed an agreement with either ******************* and you can contact her. Please do she is sitting right next to me. She just asked me to write and follow up with you!       Laser away staff used heavy sales tactics to lure me into taking out various loans in order to make sales. Convinced me to purchase skin tightening laser treatments that were painful and did not work, IPL laser treatment that was painful and did not work, Tattoo removal that was painful and did not work. Botched lip injections that I had to get dissolved and caused me embarrassment. Staff texted me and called me on my personal phone trying to pretend to be my friend in an attempt to get me to come into the store to buy more lasers. They preyed on my vulnerability.

      I am going to talk about the ******** treatment services I purchased from LaserAway in May of this year.I chose LaserAway as my ******** treatment provider based on the information I found on your official website, which indicated a **** promotion, allowing me to purchase 900 pulses of ******** and receive an additional 900 pulses for free. I confirmed this offer with the representative, ******, both through text messages and your company's advertisement.I made the payment of $2994 on 5/2 via the financing program, as detailed in the invoice. The invoice clearly stated the items purchased, including ******** FLX Face Featuring Eye Opener (Quantity 1, Price $2994) and the **** Free ******** FLX, with the total amount due being $1994 after the discount.My first treatment was on 5/7, during which 600 pulses were used. At that time, I was informed that I still had **** pulses remaining due to the **** promotion. However, during my subsequent visit on 10/30, I was informed by your staff that the service was not sold by pulses but by parts (upper face, lower face, eyes, and neck). This contradicted the information provided to me earlier, leading to confusion and disappointment.Upon showing my invoice and text messages to the staff, I received confusing explanations from ****** ***********) and *******************). ****** said that the company had never sold ******** services by pulses but by parts, while ******* stated that the upper face treatment I received previously was the one I had purchased, and this visit constituted the free treatment and I can't contine my treatment on that day because they were closed ay 6:00.My request is: either refund the services I have not yet enjoyed or allow me to continue my treatment until I have utilized all the pulses I purchased.The numbers mentioned above were the ones I have contacted.       I purchased a package on 5/15/2021 for $3,294.00 that included 3 spots to get laser hair removal on my lower legs, underarms and Brazilian. I was promised 90% of hair reduction and the thickness of my hair to thin out. I had 6 laser hair removal sessions and my hair is still as thick when I started and same amount of hair. I mentioned this to them several times that the hair seemed to stay the same thickness with the same amount of hair and was told by the end of the 6 sessions I would see the difference. I am still needing to shave every day. I went to laser away removal for 90% hair reduction and for the thickness of my hair to thin out and laser away was not able to provide me what they promised. I did the consultation over the phone and was told 6 sessions will do the work. They did not even bother for me to come in so they came examine the hair I wanted to get laser on. Laser Away should not be promising 90% hair reduction and thickness of your hair to thin out to their customers that out their trust in them when it is false information and false advertising!

Patients may see up to 90% reduction but that is not a guaranteed result. We typically suggest starting off with at least 8 treatments then re-evaluating from there. If your hair appears to be finer, patchy, more sparse, that is a great sign that the treatment is working but you may just need more treatments for further reduction. Although I understand it's not your desired response, please be assured it's very common. For this reason, we offer a 55% discount to our existing patients on previously treated areas.       LaserAway is a total scam. I paid over $1,800 for clear and brilliant because they said, "you will actually see results with your 1st treatment"! I believed them. They paint everything so pretty and promise you results but my skin looks exactly the same. They said they would show me pictures of before and after and I have never seen any photos. I want my money back because this is a rip off. I don't want them to keep burning my skin to not see any results whatsoever. They took almost a year to schedule me in only to rip me off. This company should be sued for what they are doing to all these women that want to better their appearance. They are only making false promises to so many women.

      While most patients are pleased with their results, each patient is different and results may vary. LaserAway's goal is improvement not perfect but, since each person is unique and may respond differently to treatment, we cannot make any guarantees on a specific result or outcome. This is also discussed in your treatment consent forms. We are happy to bring you in for an assessment to review your results and concerns. If you'd like to change your service, we are happy to provide you with store credit comparable to the value of your unused treatments. However, unfortunately LaserAway cannot offer a refund for your package as you've rendered half of the package thus far and our refund policy is store credit only.

      Dear Laser Away ,I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services I have received at Laser Away. I have been a loyal customer, having undergone multiple treatments for hair reduction, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.First and foremost, I have consistently communicated my concerns about not seeing the desired results despite multiple treatments. The response I received was to wait until I'm halfway through my treatment, and only then would I see the results. However, even after reaching that point, the promised results are nowhere to be found.Moreover, the conditions during my appointments have been less than acceptable. On several occasions, I have been placed in a room with no air conditioning and malfunctioning equipment, creating a highly uncomfortable environment. Additionally, my appointments have been canceled twice without any explanation or reason. Given that I live forty-five minutes away, this is not only inconvenient but also a waste of my time and resources.Another major concern is the scheduling process. I have repeatedly requested appointments at different times, providing six weeks' notice. Despite this, I consistently find myself scheduled during rush hour traffic, which is not only inconvenient but also contrary to my preferences. It appears that the only available times are during peak traffic hours, even when alternative slots were requested well in advance.Furthermore, during my sessions, I have noticed certain areas being completely missed. When I brought this to the attention of the front staff, I was met with dismissive responses, stating that those parts of the body are hard to reach. This not only undermines the promised eighty percent hair reduction but also raises questions about the quality of the service being provided.During my last treatment, it took the technician only twenty-two minutes to complete the procedure on my entire body, which further adds to my concerns about the thoroughness and efficacy of the treatments.Lastly, when expressing my dissatisfaction via email, the responses I received were merely inquiries about how Laser Away is doing, with no concrete resolutions or acknowledgments of my concerns.I signed up for Laser Away with the expectation of achieving an eighty percent hair reduction, as promised during the initial consultation.       We're sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction. Typically, we suggest starting out with at least 8 treatments. On average, patient may see up to 80% reduction; however, as with most procedures, results can vary per person. It's very common for patients to need more treatments either for further reduction or maintenance.

      We're happy to review your results and concerns but suggest coming in for an assessment. For this assessment, we recommend coming in unshaven so that the clinician can properly assess your results.       I signed a loan agreement with LaserAway and they had me set up my financial information through PatientFi. I asked *********************** to cancel my loan and she has not. It has been 2 months since I asked to cancel.
