In March 2010, we met with **** ****** and were persuaded to trade in our Vacation Village timeshare, believing it would be a great financial move. We were promised high demand for this timeshare, first refusal rights for resale, and help selling it if needed. We were also told this was an exclusive, one-day deal, which proved false.Over time, we discovered many unfulfilled promises, such as "no extra fees," but we faced unexpected charges for resort improvements. Promises of consistent access to master suites, free airport transportation, and exclusive amenities were short-lived or misleading. Despite being platinum members, we struggled to secure bookings, even a year in advance. We were also overcharged twice with no refunds, only account ********** April 2011, we upgraded with ****** ******** and ****** **********, expecting perks like better accommodations, ****** service, a private beach, and more. These amenities were either poorly maintained, not exclusive, or required additional fees, and non-members often received the same perks, rendering our upgrade ************ December 2013, we were promised access to a new Phase 4 building with corporate weeks requiring no maintenance fees, but this project was never completed. Similarly, in 2014, we invested in IMOs, believing they would be valuable, only to find out this was another empty ********** 2016, we faced a nightmare situation when we were forced to change rooms mid-vacation and experienced poor conditions in the new accommodation. Attempts to make reservations became increasingly difficult, with consistent falsehoods about availability. Our final encounter in April 2017 involved the ROIVAC program, which guaranteed a return of our investment but resulted in more delays and unfulfilled promises. The endless lies, financial strain, inability to get promised amenities, overcharges, and devaluation of our timeshare have made this entire experience with Sunset Beach devastating and regretful.

My husband and I are senior citizens enjoying to travel now that we are both retired. We stayed at Pueblo Bonito *************** in ************************** in September 2024. For discounted tours, golfing, spa credit etc, we were lured to attend their *********** membership presentation the next day at Pueblo Bonito Sunset. After serving us alcoholic drinks, we signed the contract and made a deposit. We trusted **** ****** the sales *** as a senior citizen too that what he sold to us of discounted booking and resort/hotel/cruise 4 weeks a year use of their booking was a good deal then. We asked him if there were any complaints about this membership and ****** and ***** ****** (contract person) said no. When we got to our hotel room, we emailed them to cancel the contract right away. We checked the internet and found over 50+ customer complaints like us. Do not stay and buy their time share travel club membership. Its a scam! We are currently disputing the charges with our credit card and Pueblo Bonito.

My mother and I decided to enter an agreement with PB, if they took over our current timeshare at a different property. ***** our sales guy, agreed as long as we provided them with our sales contract from the other property. Which we did provide ***** with the contract before we left *********. We paid $1500, for the down payment to enter the new contract with PB. ***** stated it could take up to 10 days to finalize everything. Well that was August 21, 2024. We have not heard anything back. My ********** have called, left voice messages & also text messages to *****, with no luck. We have tried setting up our account up online with the member number provided to us at time of sale, with no luck. At this point, we have no idea, whether ***** or PB, just ran off with out deposit and we got scamed.

Total scam. Do not do business with these people. They force you into a timeshare take your money, then act like they dont know you when you call to use your timeshare, absolutely no record of the agreement we entered into in ****. A complete scam! Got me for $3,000.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is holding my wedding pictures hostage with total disregard that we paid almost $30K in full prior to our wedding. They have levied an unfair, arbitrary, and outrageous fine on ** because we added blue napkins and gold chargers to our table settings. Our contract did not have language on any fine to be charged and we never knew we were not to use these items until we flew to **** 1 month before the wedding for our tasting. At the tasting we were told this was discouraged. On our wedding day a friend who was assisting with set up was told there would be a fine. She let us know what our Wedding Planner had said and being the first we had heard of this we messaged her asking about the fine. We messaged multiple times and finally received a message back saying she was not charging any fine. After our wedding and at the entrance of our 1st dance she approached informing us the fine would be in the $5K range. We were in disbelief. Not wanting to embarrass everyone we asked if we could "table" this until after the wedding. She agreed. We ended up staying an additional day at our expense to discuss this fine. The accounting department said they would review it and get back to us. Once they got back with us the fine had been slightly lowered, but still was exorbitant. We have hired an attorney who sent a letter as they have NO legal standing here, we have offered a settlement in a lesser amount, we flew back to **** a week ago and upper management refused to meet with us. The wedding was late October of 2023 and the photographer is one of their preferred vendors (************). Beware that if you upset the wedding team they will instruct the photographers to hold your photos until you do whatever it is they want you to do. I would hire an outside wedding planner so you have more control and get everything in writing (even though this has not helped us). They say they have now revised the contract, but still will not honor the contract we signed.

If I could provide fewer than 1 stars, I would. Similar to *****'s experience from an earlier review, my contact at PB is now ignoring all communication from me after owning me a refund. She was incredibly communicative when we were booking and paying, but after owing me a refund, she's absolutely STOPPED ALL COMMUNICATION. She sent one email saying that she'd follow-up, but it's been silence since despite me sending almost daily emails. I've also emailed the general reservations alias, without luck. I'd highly recommend all potential guests to STAY AWAY from the scam of these time shares as the service is absolutely horrid. They make it as difficult as possible to understand the policies and then make you pay for guests that never showed, claiming that you then have to go back to your reservationists to claim a refund, which they then IGNORE. And given that it's a resort in another country, there's absolutely no way of contacting.
