I brought in 2019 Acura MDX on 9/29/23 for ******* mile check up code B 134. I requested for genuine Acora parts to be used. Total cost was $2058.84. On 5/26/24 11:00pm MDX just stopped in the middle of the road while driving 70mph. I called AAA to tow the car to Neillo Acura dealer in *********. The dealership service said that wrong ***** parts were installed on the MDX. After inspecting your vehicle, ****** Acura of ********* recommends additional services be completed.Good morning *****. Here is the final inspection. your vehicle also had an incorrect tensioner that was installed with the timing belt which also is part of the reason the timing belt snapped. Unfortunately because the icorrect parts were installed previously it will not be covered under your extended warranty. I will save all the old parts and keep pictures for you. Text me back or give me a call when you can. To review the inspection and approve the recommendations, click: ************************************** Reply STOP to opt out.May 30, 2024 8:22:50 AM

We offfered to have her tow it back to us to check out work and perform a warranty if needed she declined. She decided to not have us look at it after it died, and did not let us verify the issue and perform a warranty if it was related.  As stated in the signed contract all warranty work has to be done at Tedious Repairs no exceptions.

I am rejecting this response because:

How can I risk my familys lives again with the company who installed wrong parts in my car?

Like I stated before she went agianist our disclaimer where all warranty work has to be brought to us. I would like to also state we as Tedious Repairs do not put wrong parts on cars. We also would like to ask how this vehicle drove ****** miles and just break if we put the wrong parts on the car.

Never brought the vehicle to me, no record of any auto repair. Please show us a receipt and prove that vehicle was repaired at the shop. I believe this is harassment and lies in attempt to damage the shops reputation.

I had my '87 F-250 towed to Tedious after calling and explaining that it was carbureted and that I suspected the fuel pump was the issue. I was told there would be a $150 diagnosis fee. While in the shop they called and asked for an additional $150 for 2 hours of diagnosis. I received a copy of the work they did - they spent 2 hours taking photos all over the vehicle, interior, engine bay, body, nothing relevant to the problem. The mechanic guessed it was a carburetor issue, and said they don't work on carburetors and I would have to have the vehicle towed away. I finally had time to do the repairs myself, and while doing the work, I found that there was an inline fuel pump that had failed. I wish this could have listened to his customer at any juncture. HUGE MISTAKE trusting tedious.

*************** to a compliant that happened on November 7th of 2022. The customer requested that we take a look at his **** **** F-250."I think in tank fuel sending unit has failed. Died on the road sputtering" He stated.  We told him that with trucks as old as a **** **** f-250 that we would have to start with an Advanced level 2 Diagnostic. Then we sent over the estimate straight to his phone and the customer digitally signed the $299.98. After we got approval, I had my senior technician take a look at the truck and after he ran this diagnostic he stated "Can hear fuel pump running under vehicle when key is on. Engine started this morning and ran for ***** secs and then engine shut off. Fuel pump was still running. Fuel gauge is at full not sure if it is functioning as the switch between the tanks did not change no matter which position it was on.  We diagnosis that the carburetor had internal issues (we do not rebuild carburetors) and noticed several vacuum lines were disconnected." After we completed the services, we wanted to let him know what we found and he was not pleased with the report. We told him that we do not rebuild carburetors and that we would have to pay the diagnostic for my technician's time and he would have to get the car towed out of our facility. When he showed up at the shop, he was very angry and refused to pay the bill. After he stormed out of our facility and tried to go through our gate and take his truck. The Owner of this business stopped him from going through the gate but the customer tried to force his way through yelling and screaming at the owner. The customer ended up paying and getting the car towed out of here.

I am rejecting this response because: there was an inline fuel pump that failed, a decent diagnosis would have uncovered this.
