On 9/5/2024, California Window Masters installed windows, including a sliding glass door at my home. The door had obvious damage and puncture, but they installed anyway. When I complained they tried to temporarily fix, but agreed it was imperfect and the repair was easy. I called ***** and agreed to repair, but said only if I provided full payment. I did so, noting on the check that it was "in dispute." I promptly followed up with an email on 9/6/24 confirming the issues on the same day, which they responded to and promised "I got your e mail, and we will work on this issues next week. We going to be back to you ASAP. Thank you and have a nice weekend."Every call and email has gone unanswered.

Resolution proposal - Refund $2,300 so I can go to another company and re-order slider and have it installed properly as no one will touch existing install as it will void my warranty and make them liable. Or purchase and install a trim <= 1/3 of an inch to work with existing blinds.

To Whom It May ****************** contract between CA Window Masters and *************************** was completed in June of 2023. Customer was aware that blinds may not fit. See attached contract. He opted to have the door installed in a different manner to not disturb the blinds. We had no issue to redo the interior trim our standard way on the day of the installation BUT the blinds would no longer work as intended. Customer was adamant that that was not an option. He opted to have it installed with the custom wrap he currently has. Now 7 months later, he filled a complaint because when we told him to redo it a different way would involve additional work at a cost of $500 and the blinds would still not work as intended. The door was installed properly as there are no leaks. The issue is the interior trim, no wood trim is less than 1/3 of an inch wide. Replacing the trim and using his own contractor will NOT void the warranty as long as the door is not removed. He can go ahead and hire someone at his cost but there will not be a refund offered by CA Window Masters.

I am rejecting this response because:  I was not aware of blinds not fitting.  **** promised me three options with the wood trim being a last resort which I have in writing.  On day of install, the install team that arrived wasnt aware of the install options.  Once they did become aware, it was the install team not including installation manager ***************** that concluded that the 3rd option (wood trim) wouldnt work with my existing blinds.  Note ***** insisted on option 3 and indicated **** didnt know what he was talking about.  Additionally the install team showed option 1 would not work either which is the one I preferred.  Option 2 which is the current install is a mess with caulking pasted on like icing on a cake by an amateur *****.  Back in June, I was promised a resolution but California Window Masters didnt follow through which is what brought us here.

    Sincerely,
