      Purchased system from Semper Solaris. Later part of 2022. Building department application was rejected however I know someone at the ** in order to correct. It sat for almost two months without any communication from Semper Solaris. With no communication from anyone at the company, (other than an email) I received a phone call on a Tuesday that they would be installing the panels the next day. (ok fine) I received an email on Wednesday that $21 grand was going to be debited from my account that day because the panels are installed. I am not sure about most people but I need more than two hours notice to move money around to cover the debit. Next communication was after my final inspection I received an email (after final) that the remaining $5 grand was to come out of my account. (I knew this time)However when the debit cleared, I received another email saying our business is concluded and we dont have any other reason to talk to you. Now I am just assuming that I am waiting on PGE to do what they do, which is not clear to me and it appears I have no recourse. I do not know when the system will be turned on. Seems that SS does not care if the system gets up and running. They have their money. I would not do business with them again

      We definitely care whether you receive permission to operate from the utility and will obviously still be in contact with you as well as being here for you for service in the future.  

      I find it exceedingly odd that you would have received an email that stated "our business is concluded and we dont have any other reason to talk to you"

       

      If you could please forward that email to the BBB as well as *************************************** we will run that back and correct whoever said that.

      Semper solaris has lied several times to me, when they did my roof inspection they said it was in great shape, that they were going to install it. They started installing the battery and updated electrical ( the electrical has not been connected yet) after placing those items on my wall, they started on my roof and then told me it was damaged. That it would cost me about $28,000 to repair it, I told them it was too expensive ***** who is the contractor then told me to find a another roof company and they would approve it. I did and they would repair it for $19,500. *************** said we are not approving anyone anymore, then we agree that they would fix it for $21,000. I told them yes for the same interest rate of .99%, ***** said n yes. Then they told me to got to a different company. And when I did. The interest rate was ****%. That's when I said forget it, you guys are liners, and I told ***** he has lied all the time. I have text messages of him telling about the above and many other lies

      We have been attempting to replace our **** system since august. This required replacing the furnace, adding in central air, new duct work, and a installing a new electric panel. The **** System was finally installed last month, but the subpanel has not.. I'm not sure what was disconnected in the existing subpanel, but half of the lights in our house are not working. Furthermore, we signed a contract to have Solar installed after the **** system install was finally under way. They contacted us today to say that they were cancelling the solar contract we had already signed. They mentioned that we had contacted the BBB about our project and it was too risky to take on the solar portion. We could have just gone with another company, but today at ****... The last day of the *** 2.0 contract, they say they are cancelling. I spoke to multiple people at the company who are all giving me different reasons, when we know the main reason for them not doing it is due to the BBB complaint we filed. Other reasons that were listed by corporate account executive ********************* included that they had a lot of other deadlines and the main panel. Quick side story- it was not that the main panel was unable to be upgraded... SDG&E sent Semper Solaris a note saying what needed to be completed, and Semper Solaris didn't want to do the work. This company has caused a ridiculous of emotional and financial stress, and half of the lights in my house do not work. I have never been treated so poorly by a company and have never been driven to the stress and anxiety that this has cost me.

      Original date the project was approved was approx 8/12/2022. It took months for them to finally install the solar equipment which came in 1/2023 The first inspection by the county was in February. Ten days after the county approved, SMUD came to install the meter and stated it was not up to their code and items had to be remedied before they can install the meter. March 24, *************************************************************************************************** between all this I have to be the one to contact them to get an update. And when I do, all I get is we are waiting on SMUD and they have no control over SMUD not showing **. In the meantime my first payment is going to be made before I even have equipment working. The job is NOT done. I am not getting any updates or apologies from this company. The worst decision I have ever made working with this firm. Terrible *****************

      Thank you for checking in on this. Out of ALL the utilities we deal with statewide SMUD is the absolute worst and we have completed more than 50 thousand applications state wide.  It is almost as if SMUD is not pro solar.  They routinely make stuff up, add new unpublished requirements, delay, obfuscate, lie etc.  SMUD has what they need from us and as the customer states we have NO CONTROL of this terrible utility BUT was have completed hundreds of applications with SMUD and this customer will 100% obtain PTO.

      In January, I requested a whole roof health inspection. Weeks later, I was told I needed to speak to the original salesperson who had helped me with our Solar project in 2021. After calling him, he no longer works there.After 1 more week and several new attempts to talk to schedule a roof inspection, I was able to schedule the inspection for 02/22. After the inspection I received email notice that my quote would be ready in 1-5 business days. Payment of $399 was paid in full on 02/24. I was advised I needed to pay that to receive the project bid. I followed up 03/02 with ******************************* and was told that I would hear back in 1-3 business days. On 03/10 I reached back out to ******* after no response to no avail. On 03/13 I contacted their priority care via email and received a call from ************************* on 03/14 saying that she will reach out to the roofing department to get an update regarding the proposal. No such luck. After several more calls I receive an email from *********************************** on 03/20 with partial information of a quote. It spoke of 3 sections with suggested repairs and cost. I emailed back requesting the full roof quote that I asked for upon making the inspection appointment. 1 week later on 03/27 I emailed again asking for an immediate update, to which I ******** replied that he would have the update by days end the next day. No reply since. I called Semper Solaris again to get information. I spoke to ***************************** in Technical Support on 03/30, who promised he would speak to the roofing department manager and follow up but asked for 7 days. On 04/07 I emailed ******** for an update and said he spoke to the roofing department and that he thought they called me back already. On 04/13 I called Semper again in hopes of getting a refund so I can use another company. Was told my warranty would void if anyone removed my panels but Semper but they will not remove them unless Semper does the roof. as I cant even get my quote for the roofing.

      Got the roof replaced over 4 years ago. We continue to have a leak since. They came out to multiple patches, none of them helped. Recently I asked if they can provide a more permanent solution so I don't have to call them every time it rains. **************** keeps steering me in circles and saying I will receive a call back from the roofing team in a day or two. It has been about a month and after multiple calls and emails I still have not heard anything. The roof is still under warranty and as I stated it just continues to leak everytime it rains.

      Made a complaint about a month ago about my critter guard falling off of the solar panels. It is still falling off and really loud when it moves around, not sure if it's causing roof damage. This morning something fell from it in the morning and hit my balcony. Just need the critter guard replaced or repaired before it falls off and hits someone.

      I bought a battery back up from siempersolas 2 years ago. It died they came checked itbout in nivember and now refuse to rsponds or return calls with uo date. I bought it to protect my wine store it hasntent workrd since november

      Had solar installed from them in 2022. During the sales quote I was told the roof is covered where the panels are installed if any damage is caused by the installation. December 31st 2022 during the crazy rain ********** has been getting I notice a leak. I contacted support and advised of the leak. Today is 03/24/2023. Phone calls are no longer being returned. After numerous attempts the leak is still not fixed. Last week was advised they would not approve a reroof if I was not going to pay full price of roof. Only thing they would do is to come out and seal all the bolt ins from panels. What about the water damaged underside? I was promised I wouldnt be responsible for the roof replacement under the panels. Ive got no problems paying for my portion. I wish I wouldve gone with some other company.

      End of August 2022, called for representative to come to house and advise. 9/1: HVAC Consultation 9/12: Came to house for pre-site visit, order change due to needing panel upgrade October (unsure of exact date): Pre-site visit #2 for panel change November: Told everything was fine, awaiting SDGE along with city permits. January: Signed loan documents, decided install date of Feb 13, 14, 15. February 10 at 6PM: Notified that the install would not be happening and they aren't really sure why, the business day before the install was supposed to happen. Wednesday 2/15: Received a call from the financing credit union stating that the company was not moving forward... this was not true at all. 3/6: 3rd Pre-site visit, was told we should be able to get the ball rolling soon. 3/8: Sent message to customer service rep asking if we were ready for an install date: Response was "I have not received an update on how the third visit went." Let me check with the solar team. NO RESPONSE AFTER THAT.3/14: Called- No answer. No text message back at this time. Incredibly frustrated that the project isn't moving forward at all. I'm left in the dark with zero updates and still no install date. Mind you, the original install date was supposed to be "some time in November" per the first visit. We are over a month out from our original install date, had another site assessment, and have heard nothing. Semper Solaris needs to move forward with the install as soon as possible. The sheer lack of professionalism, lack of response, and apathy from them is absolutely terrible. I've never been treated like this before in my life, let alone by a company that is going to charge $20,000+++ for a project.

      There was it fairly tricky electrical issue related to this installation that we've had a difficult time solving.  We've come up with solution and actually refunded some of the customer's money because it's less costly than what we originally thought we needed to do.  I believe the customer will ultimately be happy with a solution and finally getting done with this project.  Thank you so much for your patience and help in this matter
