I started the process to port my section 8 voucher from ************* to the Colorado Springs housing authority in January of this year. The process has been horrible. Nan McKay is a third party company hired by the ****. My caseworker is ******* **** and she is employed through Nan McKay. She is impossible to get a hold of and when I call the help line they are not helpful either. I have reached out to her every way I can think of and she never replies and never calls me even though I have had numerous requests put in by the Nan McKay staff. I am a single mother of three and rely on my voucher for housing as I cannot afford to pay for housing costs on my own. I started the port process in January and just received my voucher back on 03/18/25. Since then I have repeatedly reached out to ******* and the representatives at Nan McKay and no one has helped me resolve my issue. I applied for an apartment in **************** and submitted the necessary documents to move in, but ******* has yet to upload the information into the system. I am currently living in an ****** and owe $3400 that I cannot afford to pay. Because of ******* and the team at *** McKay I am now in further debt. Myself and my kids are at jeopardy of becoming homeless due to their negligence. Honestly its sickening that this is allowed to happen and the **** should look into another company to do business with. I need someone to reach out asap to handle this issue.

I received an email from ***************** on 4/21/2023 stating my household was chosen from a lottery for Rental Assistance. I started submitting my documents and my application got kicked into Invalid Status so I wasnt able to upload my remaining documents. I have been trying to get it fixed Since May and now Im out of time. It has gone through the courts and I'm about to be evicted! Everytime I speak with someone the response is same oh well your in Invalid Status so there's nothing we can do to help you. Or they say I'm on the waiting listand to monitor my email for when I'm chosen. The representatives Are rude and they don't listen. I've made numerous attempts via email and phone calls to resolve this but no success. So as of today 8/2/23 I wasted my time and any day now the sheriff will be putting a 14 day notice on my door and I will have an eviction on my record.I don't know if this is a scam or not because the emails I receive from them look as if it's the *********** contacting you but its not. And when I ask for a supervisor or manager they say they're not taking calls.I feel this is wrong to do to people give them False Hope.

In February I took and passed The ************************* test after my employer purchased the nine hundred dollar course. In May I was seperating from the employer and I had yet to receive my certificate and plaque. I reached out via email and phone never received a call or email back. I have been filling out the form online for someone to contact me which was still unsuccessful. I have reached out via email, phone and social media with still no response. I know someone read my message I sent on ******** Messenger but they did not respond.

I applied for RAFT back in October. The people reached out and asked for documents. One of which I did not have and explained I did not. I uploaded documents that I did have to their site + emailed them to the lady in the response. They were sent these documents immediately when she called. There was 0 communication from them at all after the upload. They did not explain any new processes or new requirements, or why they were taking the case instead of the other company. 0 reasons were given for anything. 1 week later I received an email stating I was denied. The reasons stated were - documents missing, but these were sent to 2 places, and if others were required the information should have been given to me by email or by this lady or provided some other way. And the other reason was - missing uploaded documents that were already uploaded at the application stage and uploaded again when asked. And one of those documents they now claimed I didn't submit, they never asked for. So, the lady lied and or was not fully honest with what was needed and why and refused to reach out to me with any further information. I responded 5 times to their denial. It is quite clear this person is either biased or she is inadequate for the job. I had surgery and have been unable to work, I uploaded doctor's notes, paperwork, and tax things from my landlord, and I worked with my landlord, and with the last company, to receive help in the past. This time there was silence for someone in need of proper assistance. And instead, I was met with dishonesty and denial for no reason. I have had to reapply and my application now just sits there. I understand that it may take some time now that you pushed me to the back again. Or you simply ignore me. Either way what was done is highly unprofessional and degrading toward a person in need. If there was reasonable communication and integrity, things would have been worked through.

This with regard to an application that I submitted for the ***** rental assistance program as part of the ** states assistance to people in the state impacted by the Covid-19 health emergency. I completed the required application and submitted all the supporting documentation in November of 2022. Every week I have called to inquire about the status of the application and I keep on getting the same script that it is still under review. They don't see the urgency of the matter that I have an eviction going at the court. I kept on the explaining that to the advisor on the phone but these people don't possess compassion to understand the situation of people like me and how were are only inch away from being kicked out unto the streets. This people don't do their job efficiently. I hope that the state can replace the agency that handles consumer affairs matters of the state so that people like me wont be wondering what will happen to us should the eviction case be decided.

I applied for RAFT via Mass.gov through NAN MCKAY. I applied for RAFT for my tenant since 7/2022, and 10/11/22 I am still receiving emails about missing documentation provided. When asked for direct assistance, a call from a senior consultant, or a direct example of what is required, I am told to provide the same ledger submitted. I am then told my application will be closed for missing documentation although NAN MCKAY offers no assistance to me as Nurse Practitioner to assist my tenant during a national pandemic. RAFT is emergency services for those facing financial hardship or even homelessness. NAN MCKAY ***************** Senior consultant offers no real assistance and instead denies applications for wrongful information.
