      My father passed away unexpectedly and he took care of my mother who had the Life Alert. We had to move my mom to my sister's for a few months and sell their house. She then moved in with me. I could only find 3 out of 4 devices after she passed away. The second guy I spoke with said it would cost 100$ if not found but he said if I found it, It could be returned. They picked up the 3 devices so I wouldn't be charged another unnecessary month. He also implied that ***** or *** would pick up the other device. We did find the other device and they already charged me 100. They charged me for an additional month and the 100 and not happy. The 3rd guy I spoke with to let them know they can pick up the other device, was cold, callused and rude. Not only have I had to deal with 2 deaths, but all the moving, sorting through belongings, working multiple jobs, taking care of kids, amongst other things, that I have to return it (like I'm being punished) and then I hopefully will get a ************************************************************** the 89 monthly fee when I called to cancel. He didn't say the equipment had to be returned before doing so. I am typically on hold for ***** minutes when I call. Sometimes I just hang up. The contradict themselves, not truthful, not helpful and make things harder than they should. I would find another company. These guys have been a complete headache! I wish I would have done further review prior to picking this company. I definitely have buyers remorse. I found this review on National Counsel on Aging and have seen other bad reviews. I hope that they promptly reimburse me 189 and not a month from now. That's just ridiculous! From NCOA: Life Alert has too many drawbacks compared to better medical alert systems: a high cancellation fee, a restrictive contract, no fall detection, expensive monitoring and installation fees, and no pricing information on its website. They will give some lame response to this review and will do nothing it.

      We are very sorry for the loss of your parents in such a short amount of time.  Having helped mourning families for over 35 years, we understand how difficult and emotionally confusing a time like this can be.  Our goal is to expedite personal matters and not prolong unnecessary follow-up calls for the families.  We made attempts to contact you to return the equipment as soon as possible in order for billing to stop.  Unfortunately, we did not hear back from you until after the next billing cycle.  As a courtesy, we paid to have all of our devices shipped back to us.  As you know, we received everything but one device.  We did notify you that a missing equipment charge would apply but a refund would be given if that device is returned.  We have received the missing device and a refund is already being processed.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our ************* at **************.

      Easy instruction, very nice helpers, fast set up routine. I've been thinking about getting one for a few years living alone. I'm very clumsy and have fallen and not able to get up with broken bones, surgeries and rehab. My children are super happy I finally got it. They all live over 100 miles from me.       I was very pleased with the customer service provided by *****. Everything was carefully and professionally explained. I felt appreciated and ***** made everything feel like he personally cared. The information was repeated to me twice by ***** over the course of 2 phone calls and all mailing and contact information was verified with 2 additional follow up calls after speaking with *****. I am very hopeful that this will allow my sister and I more peace of mind having this additional safety net for mom.

      Great experience with everyone from start to setup! ***** was amazing in getting the process started and ******* was excellent in walking me through the setup process. Everyone has been extremely professional and knowledgeable!! I would absolutely recommend Life Alert.
