I had gotten a Pulley Pump replaced for my power steering because I had an oil leak coming from there They gave me a full diagnostic of the car and everything that needed to be replaced I only went for my main Oil leak issue After getting my pump replaced I had noticed that It was defective and leaking oil from the part gasket I went back to get the part replaced and they did guarantee that because it was under the warranty when I got the vehicle back from replacing the warranty part I noticed my speedometer and odometer werent working and a check engine light was on I previously did not have a Check engine light, a non working speedometer and odometer It was not stated within the diagnostic previously I had called back and asked if they could make it right because I did not have it that way They immediately told me what the issue was and what needed to be done , they had not stated previously that issue within the diagnostic My concern is why after spending a lot of money to get a part fixed why try to a pull a fast one and cause more issues to the vehicle this is my work vehicle and how to get around Daily Im looking to get this fixed right either by them or some other mechanic because its not right to pull a fast one After letting them know the issue that I had got from them They did not respond to my message at all Its Unprofessional to not communicate on an issue that was caused on there end

Original visit Guest reports he believes power steering pump is leaking, check and advise we confirmed it to be leaking, offered a repair quote which was authorized. When we sent over pricing for the power steering pump we included results of a courtesy inspection of the vehicle that was performed while we had it in a stall for the leak inspection. No further repairs other than the power steering pump were authorized. The guest picked up his vehicle after hours.

We were then contacted and informed that the part we just installed was leaking again. We performed a warranty replacement of power steering pump on the second visit. When this vehicle finished with the warranty repair it was picked up while we were open. The guest actually met with our team and inspected it on site before leaving to confirm things were replaced.

After picking up the vehicle we were then contacted about a check engine light being on. This vehicle is a 1992 (30+ year old vehicle). We informed the guest we did notice the light was on though we had not been requested to look into it by him so we did not want to go further into it. We also informed him that on this vehicle there is no OBD2 port. We are not equipped with OBD1 equipment to scan the vehicle. Guest was informed that we could visually see the needle was bent which was an indication that there is an internal issue in the actual speedometer. We even looked up speedometers that were being sold online ****** when we talked to him about it.

At that point we were not requested to do anything else. The guest picked up his car. Months later we then get this BBB complaint about pulling a fast one. The only money that was ever collected was for a power steering pump that was replaced as authorized. The power steering pump repair is not anywhere near the area of the speedometer - the two things are very separate concerns. Hopefully this helps. If the guest would like to contact us and go over things further we would be glad to do so.
