I started emailing the company at the email address on the website at **************************************************** on 01/10/2025. I followed up again on 01/14/2025 without a response. I then called the number on the website stating I was looking for assistance as my system was not reporting my usage to the tracking portal. I was finally able to get a little feed back at the end of January from ******* who told me I needed to move my CU Box. After I did as instructed and that still did not help, they sent a person out to access the system. I have been waiting since Feb 5th and I was told the "micro" was bad and that *** needed to provide a replacement. After waiting several months and being told that *** was "lagging" and that for some clients the **** were not even available anymore and some clients were just "out of luck, I received a call from ******* again who stated that they still did not hear back from *** on a replacement. However, they did in fact have some in stock and could come replace but at a charge of just under $500. I pulled my 20 year warranty paperwork that states I should be covered for "Components" under the system warranty which should be covered under normal wear and tear. This has already cost me hundreds in lost solar power. I said it should be under warranty, and asked to please confirm and let me know as I was not anticipating to have to pay for this under the warranty on a $30,000 system that is only 11 years old. Looking for resolution to get this handled ****Business Response

Dear *********,
First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the confusion and for any inconvenience this situation may have caused. We truly value you as a long-time customer and appreciate your patience throughout this process.
As weve recently discussed, there will be no charge to you for the service visit scheduled for next week, during which the malfunctioning microinverter will be replaced.
Its also worth mentioning that, based on the information available, your household consumption appears to significantly exceed what your solar system is designed to produceeven when fully operational, aside from the single microinverter currently underperforming. Once you are able to send us your electric bill; well be reviewing it to provide you with a more detailed analysis and feedback regarding your systems performance versus your current usage.
We regret the delays in communication and appreciate your persistence in bringing this to our attention. Please know we are committed to resolving this issue and restoring your systems performance as soon as possible.
If you have any further questions or need anything else, feel free to reach out directly to us at **************************************************** or by phone. We're here to help.Initial Complaint

I have a solar panel installation by solar symphony including an extended 25yr warranty on the ** system. I noticed my inverter wasn't working August of 2024. I informed ********* from solar symphony who said they would get me a new inverter. I called multiple times the following month to try to get a status from *********, without success. I would be told he was out, and they'd take a message. Solar Symphony finally called back and I found out they let go of the person I was working with. I got bumped up to the manager, who turned out to be worse at returning calls, but it finally got *************, that same manager told me that I would now need to replace the Juicebox in order to charge my vehicle. That doesn't seem right, though. It's very unusual that two components would go out at the same ******* they installed the new charger, it doesn't work and it's near impossible to contact anyone at Solar Symphony!ber 5th, a full month after they had received the inverter. ********* sounded surprised that they had the inverter, before setting up the installation date. I asked for reimbursement of the solar generation lost within that month that they didn't install the new inverter, and ********* told me the company policy was to wait until my true-up period. I waited until then (June 2023), and initially I got an email from a new contact, *****, saying he would be handling the issue. After that, I never received any calls or emails back despite multiple attempts. When I tried to email ***** he didn't reply Jul 31, and Sep 13th the email bounced back saying it no longer existed. I tried using the company online contact form, without success.Business Response

Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize for the delays and communication challenges you've faced.
Regarding your inverter issue: You reported the problem on July 22, 2024, and we contacted SolarEdge, creating case #*******. The replacement inverter arrived on August 1st, but due to recent regulatory changes in ********** affecting the solar industry, including staffing challenges, we experienced delays. However, the inverter was replaced on August 27, 2024, as promised under your warranty.
As for the ** charger, it was purchased in 2018 with a 3-year warranty and functioned continuously for nearly 6 years. Once the charger failed, we offered a replacement at a significantly discounted rate. After installation, you expressed concerns about the charging speed. We then replaced the charger again, and it is functioning correctly according to its specifications. Despite this, you remain dissatisfied and have requested another replacement. Although the charger is not covered under the 25-year solar warranty, we have agreed to replace it one more time as a goodwill gesture.
Please note, the performance of the charger is not covered under our warranty, and the ** charger warranty aligns with the manufacturer's terms.
We remain committed to addressing your concerns and welcome further communication if needed.Sincerely,
Sinsi ********, ** at Solar SymphonyInitial Complaint

I have a warranty issue they wont rectify in good faith. I paid about $52,439 for 34 panels (I took out a loan) and I was guaranteed per our contract that they would produce ****** kilowatt hours the first year. They under performed and produced closer to ******. At first they said they would install 5-6 more panels for me or relocate the ones that are underperforming but now theyre trying to low ball me and said they can either install only 2 more panels or refund me $2000. They are also putting a time limit and saying this is a limited time offer. Electrum Solar SCE facilitated things when I signed and said they would help if any warranty issue came up now Im unable to get a hold of anyone from that company and it has been months.Business Response

Dear *****************,
We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention regarding the performance of your solar panel system and the warranty coverage. After thoroughly reviewing your case, we understand the frustration caused by the discrepancy between the guaranteed production outlined in your contract and the actual performance of the system.
We aren't denying or refusing to give you compensation for the underproduction of your system. While your contract does specify an expected production of ****** kilowatt hours in the first year, it does not explicitly guarantee this quantity.
According to the terms of the warranty outlined in your contract, the contractor is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, or replacing components of the solar system that fail or malfunction, subject to certain exclusions and limitations. However, it's important to note that the warranty does not cover discrepancies in energy production unless caused by a malfunctioning component covered under the warranty.
Despite the absence of a contractual obligation to provide compensation for the shortfall in energy production, we empathize with your situation and strive to find a mutually satisfactory resolution. In light of this, we have extended an offer to you as a gesture of goodwill.
Our proposed compensation is based on the difference between the guaranteed production of ****** kWh and the actual production of ****** kWh, resulting in a deficit of ***** kWh. Calculated at the average electricity cost of 40 cents per kWh for the *** region, the value of the energy not produced amounts to $1,954.80.
Additionally, we have offered the alternative of installing two additional solar panels as compensation.
We understand your preference for a larger compensation of either six additional panels or a refund of $9,254. While we acknowledge your desired resolution, we kindly request your understanding of the limitations within the scope of the contract and warranty agreement.
We remain committed to resolving this matter amicably and await your decision regarding the compensation offered in accordance with the terms outlined in the contract. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions or concerns you may have.Initial Complaint

Solar Symphony came highly recommended by a friend of mine in *********. I guess they send their B or C crew up to LA county as our roof was damaged by their shotty work. They will respond and go on about how their mounts cannot leak, but don't be fooled by that misdirection. These clowns broke so many roof tiles during installation. Some tiles were repaired, some were replaced, and others were just left broken. I found the broken ones around the perimeter of the panel array so I can't even begin to imagine how many are broken under the array that I cannot see. Broken tiles alone should not cause my roof to leak so they also had to damage the underlayment as well. My roof is not that old and they brought out a roof inspector to verify the roof was solid enough to install. Well, either one of 2 things happened here.... a fraudulent inspection stating the roof was good so that they could go ahead with the project, or they just damaged my roof. The roof experienced a typhoon storm a few months prior to the install without a single drop leaking. After the install I have leaks coming through in multiple places. They came to inspect and claimed it wasn't their fault, and that a vent pipe was leaking. I covered that with a tarp and the roof still leaked in the next rain storm. They eventually sent out their technician superintendent and he revealed to us that they did a crappy job and left open nail holes and broken tiles everywhere. He told us that they would take full responsibility to repair the roof and for the damages inside my our house. I wish I had gotten that in writing as a couple days later ************************* was calling to again claim it's not their fault.Business Response

We deeply regret hearing about your experiences with the solar panel installation and the issues with your roof. We sincerely appreciate you sharing your concerns with us.
We have diligently investigated the circumstances you mentioned, including the visit of our technicians to inspect possible sources of water infiltration. While a ventilation duct with a broken water protection was identified, we could not find direct evidence that the solar installation was the cause of the leaks in your roof.
We understand your frustration and want to address this situation in the best way possible. If you have further evidence or details that could help us better understand the situation, please let us know.
Our goal is always to provide quality service and resolve any issues that arise. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we are here to assist you in any way we can. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything else we can help you with.Initial Complaint

I have a solar panel installation by solar symphony including an extended 25yr warranty on the ** Inverter. I noticed my inverter wasn't working June of 2022. Solar Symphony Construction, **** installed solar panels on my home in November of 2016. Installation included a power production warranty that specified a certain amount of power would be produced yearly and we would be compensated if this was not met. The system worked well for the first 5 years, then in May of 2022 half of the panels stopped working. It took them several months to finally send a technician to repair the issue, and as a result, my electrical generation was half of what it should have been for 2-3 months, resulting in my electric bill being $500 higher then previous years. The technician indicated that the cause of the failure was that the panels were incorrectly wired when initially installed. After filing for reimbursement under their power production warranty, they have refused to honor it.Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised by Mr. ********************* regarding the installation of solar panels by Solar Symphony Construction, Inc.
Upon careful review of ****************** complaint, we acknowledge the issue encountered with the solar panel system installed in November 2016. In May 2022, our technicians discovered that half of the panels had ceased functioning. After thorough investigation, it was determined that the way in which the wiring was done during the initial installation may have contributed to this issue.
It's important to note that at the time of installation, the system was wired according to the specifications outlined in the system's datasheet. However, over time, environmental factors such as tree growth have impacted the system's performance, resulting in a decrease in sunlight exposure to the panels.
To address this issue, our team took proactive measures to rewire the strings of optimizers/modules to ensure optimal system performance. This adjustment was made at no additional cost to **************, and we remain committed to ensuring the continued functionality of his solar system.
Regarding your claim for reimbursement under the power production warranty, it's important to clarify that this warranty applies when the system does not meet the estimated production on its own, due to factors within the system's control. However, it does not apply when external factors, such as environmental changes, impact the system's production.
We apologize for any inconvenience experienced by ************** and appreciate his understanding,
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.
