    We received a quote to repair the stuck zoom lens on our camera and were told the usual time to repair was 3-5 business days. We sent our camera to them for repair, and then the price quote was raised. We also had to pay upfront for work to begin. After having our camera for 7 months with many excuses for not repairing and returning our camera, we demanded our **************************** be returned (emails attached). After 3 emails, the still broken camera was returned, but no money. An invoice was sent as though repair had been done, but it wasn't. The same problem still exists, and we can't get a response for the return of our money.

    Canon Vixia Camcorder damaged by The Camera Repair Center.*** I HAVE COPIES OF ALL EMAILS FOR PROOF***Before sending my camcorder to the service center I emailed them explaining all features work perfectly expect the battery would no longer charge due to a pinch in my original power cord. ( I purchased a new power cord and battery from a Canon parts supplier but the camera still would not charge the battery ) The camera works perfect plugged in with ZERO issues. After explaining the details to The Camera Repair Center I received an emailing saying they knew what repair needed to be done so the camera would charge the battery again and the cost would be $188.00. After mailing the camera to them for the service I received a new estimate four weeks later stating the ************ needed to be replaced and the cost would be $329.26. BIG DIFFERENCE FROM $188.00 ( I declined to have the repair done because my camera works perfect plugged in without the battery ) The next day they sent me another email stating they would do the repair for LESS since I was a first time customer. ( That sounded strange to me ) Once again, I just wanted my camera returned because I can use it with no problems plugged in with the power cord. When I received the camera back and plugged it in the flip out viewing screen is now Blurry and Distorted!! Immediately I emailed them about this issue that was never there. They said to return it to them and they stand behind their work ( No work was done just an inspection that caused this problem! ) Another four weeks later and I received the same estimate to repair the DAMAGE CAUSED BY THEIR INSPECTION FOR $329.00 !!This is called a BAIT and HOOK operation. ( They currently still have my camera and I won't let this end until I receive my camera back in same working condition it was before their evaluation. )

Accessories Received: Body Cap, Eye Cap.Nature of the Dispute: Received an entirely different camera body with incorrect serial number. Business has still not sent correct camera and is asking for return of incorrect camera. I am a professional Videographer and make a living through the use of my equipment. I have been without my camera for months now, when the repair was quoted at 5-7 business days, which has severely impacted my income. Based on reviews I have read about this business, it seems that many others are experiencing similar issues. They regularly double estimates, withhold camera equipment, and send back incorrect and/or malfunctioning gear. They also seem to operate under multiple business names, most likely in an effort to evade lawsuits. I would very much appreciate it if the BBB would help me receive full compensation for my camera. The reason I am seeking full compensation rather than replacement is due to the high probability that my camera has been tampered with and/or salvaged for parts. Please look into this potentially illegitimate business further, they are preying upon working professionals who already have a difficult time making a living in a highly competitive industry. ?Thank you.

    My **** A7 camera had an electronic issue in January of 2022 and I contacted Camera Repair after visiting their website and finding out they repaired my make and model. They had me send the camera in and in February 2022, once they diagnosed the problem, told me the repair would be for $398.Here's the Feb. 11 email from them about their diagnosis: "Hello there.We have received your equipment for evaluation and repair.Your equipment has been examined and it was found the main mounted circuit board requires replacement.The unit will be cleaned, re-calibrated, and re-aligned it to factory specifications.The final repair cost is $398.26 We Accept All Major Credit cards (etc.)Our estimates include parts, labor, free ground return shipping to ******We use original genuine OEM parts"I sent them a Zelle payment (which I have a proof of) and I have been in continuous touch with them since then to check on the status of the camera. Their first explanation for why the repair, which was promised to have a quick turnaround time, was not complete was based on supply-chain issues, and given such commonly-heard explanations nationally, I acquiesced to that. A September 2022 phone call was met with surprise by Camera Repair that my order number was so old and I thought we were making progress when the service agent mentioned I might want a refund. I was still hoping to have the camera repaired at that time, but since then I have re-contacted them after promises of further details about my camera, but have only received nominal promises that someone will email me about the situation, which have not materialized. I think this situation has proven that the company has no real interest in repairing the camera nor refunding me. I hope BBB can intervene and at least help me with the refund and the return of the broken camera body.I have a paper trail of this entire transaction so please do not hesitate to reach out to me for any additional information you may need.

    -Order No.: CR19718 -October 20, 2021 first attempt to fix Canon ******mm 2.8 IS lens.-Paid $412.26 + $50 to *************** -they committed to repair and replace the focus unit and mounted circuit board. it will be cleaned, re-calibrated, and re-aligned to factory specifications.- 1/25/22 I Sent the lens back because it was still having the same focus issues. 2nd attempt - $50 for shipping and insurance again - 6/15/22 Camera repair sends lens back to me. 6- MONTHS LATER !!!!!!!!!!!- 8/2/22 Emailed the camera repair center to inform them the lens was still having the same focus issue and i wanted a refund. I still have not received any reply to that email.

    CAMERA REPAIR CENTER HAS HAD MY CAMERA FOR NEARLY A YEAR NOW. I SENT IT TO THEM FOR AND ESTIMATE AND THE ESTIMATE CAME TO OVER HALF OF WHAT THE CAMERA COST, AND I ASKED THEM TO JUST SEND CAMERA BACK. THEY THEN REDUCED THE COST TO $179, HOWEVER THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME INFO ON WHETHER OR NOT THE CAMERA HAS BEEN REPAIRED OR JUST ANALIZED. I WILL NOT SEND MONEY UNTIL THE **** IS REPAIRED AND THEY ARE EVASIVE ON WHETHER IT IS IN WORKING ORDER NOW, OR NOT. AFTER READING THE MANY COMPLAINTS, AM GLAD IT DID NOT SEND MONEY. I HAVE ASKED FOR THEM TO SEND CAMERA BACK BUT THEY WILL NOT EVEN ACKOWLEDGE MY REQUEST. ALL I WANT FROM THEM IS THE RETURN OF MY CAMERA.

    I sent two camera lenses to this company for repair. When I sent the pament to Camera Camcorder repair center It took 2 months to fix one lens. After a shipping problem I did get that lens back repaired. The second lens was said to still be waiting for parts. CCC cashed my check for both repairs. It has more the a year and the staff at CCC will not answer my calls. This a Canon 70--200MM F/2.8 lens.

    Camera repair: After initial online quote on US $ ******, it went to US$ ****** after they received the camera as they claimed it needed and extra part. They stated a 5-7 business day turn around. I gave the go ahead. (Nov 16th, 2022) After several weeks of not getting any reply on the repair status I asked to cancel the repair and sent the camera back to me. ( Dec 5th 2022). Dec 6th they emailed me that they had had a delay in getting the part and the camera was repaired.I paid the amount they quoted me and the shipping costs to get it back to ****** (US$ 58.95)Due to the holidays I only received the camera on Jan 3rd. I filmed the unboxing and discovered they had a) send me a different camera(different serial #), b) it has parts missing, c) it has damage (gouges and scratches). After contacting them by phone, (Jan 3rd , 2023) they asked for 24 hours to get back to me but no reply. I followed it up with an email (Jan 3rd , 2023) which was confirmed to be received with an auto reply promising a 1 business day reply. No answer. On Jan 4th,2023 I again asked for an update. No reply until Jan 11. They claim my serial number does nor exit. Sent proof of serial # Jan 11th. They asked the ******************** they sent me back in order to investigate where my camera is. They have not answered any further request for an update/ answer.

    I shipped my **** camera (model SLT-A77V, serial# ******** for ********************** in February 2021. I accepted and mailed the repair fees to the store in March 2021. Camcorder Repair Center deposited the check ($383.26) to their business account in March 2021 (documentation showing that the money was deducted from my bank account in ****** attached). They responded to me that there was a microchip and circuit board shortage due to the pandemic. I have been communicating with many different employees and/or manager of the store for more than a year since the beginning of the pandemic (I was told that the store changed ownership in the past 18 months) and I never receive any type of reply or explanation from them. They are evasive, they do not follow up about my camera repair status. I check the "repair status" in their web site regularly but they just respond with automated messages and never follow up or call. When I talk to somebody on the phone (once a month or so), they do not know about the status of the repair, they always say that they will check if it is storage or that they will send a ticket to the technician and never call back or message for an update. They never respond to any type of straight question. The manager mentioned a few months ago that he was going to check personally into this camera and would mail it back to me with a refund if he could not find the part in ***** but he never communicated with me afterwards. I have mailed them a letter a few months ago to inquire about my camera and it seems that they do not check their mail either. They have very erratic behavior as a shop (something that I have never seen in the past at any store), they they do not take any kind of responsibility for their repairs, do not have organization skills to check repair status and feedback to clients. It has been almost two years and cannot get my unrepaired camera back with my refund. it seems that this shop is doing this to too many customers (as per multiple reviews).
