Im receiving numerous calls daily from the company, its gotten to a level that would be defined as harrassment. They disguise their number to show as a local number to get me to answer. I block the numbers but they keep calling from new numbers.Business Response

There are several other companies with names very similar to ours so with the information provided I cannot be sure these calls are from our company. On July 5th I received an unsolicited text and phone call from this business attempting to convince me to refinance my mortgage with them. They did not use my correct name, and when attempting repeatedly to call the business's published phone number as opposed to the scam likely number I received the contact from I am put in an indefinite hold loop. This business appears to be entirely a scam, and will not respond to my attempts to get them to cease calling me.Business Response

We received the prospective borrowers information from *********** as someone who is interested in a mortgage. Many of our clients appreciate that we reach out to them as many times we can offer a ******* deal. Not sure what number was attempted to call but we regularly answer our main line number. I am aware of industry practices regarding solicitation of offers and distribution of information, this went beyond that. I was sent a text message with an incorrect name that has never been associated with me or my address, which I can only assume is a scam. Furthermore, I attempted to contact the business both by phone and by email to remove myself from their contact list; the phone line goes nowhere and just plays hold music (I sat on the line for a half hour before hanging up, 3 times), and my emails received no response. This is a dishonest, shady, scam company and should not have anything close to an A rating.Business Response

our main office number is ************. If you did not call this number then I am not sure where you obtained the number that was called. All the information we had was obtained from Trans Union. If that information is incorrect I would suggest reaching out to them. Your number and your email have been added to our do not call list. This company has been calling me @ ************ approximately every hour during the day for the past two days, with no end in sight. Over the past 7 days I have recieved no less the 40 phone calls from several numbers identifying as E mortgage. They use the same script each time. I asked politely to be placed on the *** registry only to be hung up on, told I was a liar, told to go to some ****** form. Only once did a caller tell me he was placing me on the *** list, but it hasnt stopped this machine from calling me no less than 8 times per day. This is abhorrent marketing techniques and I am sick of wasting my time telling solicitors I am not interested and begging to have them stop calling. I have never experienced a marketing initiative like this, I have no idea where you night your list from but do better. I pity your customers as these attempts are rude, intrusive and desperate. Your callers lack skill and customer ability. I wonder how you are still in business. Please dont respond with several companies use this name. We are all smarter than this. Based on the information provided I cannot tell if this is our company or not. It is in fact true there are other E Mortgage companies with a name very similar to ours and i have received numerous complaints and investigated and found out it was indeed them. I even had a government regulator confuse us last week about a funded loan that we had no record of and when we contacted the title company it was not us but a very similar name and the regulators apologized for the error. I personally am entering your information into our do not call list just to make sure no calls from us. I can say when calls do come from us many of our customers appreciate it as we many times are able to offer a better deal.Initial Complaint

On June 6th 2024 I received an unsolicited text quote from ***************************** NMLS #******* followed by multiple texts to call him back. I called to request STOP the harassing with unsolicited calls. This individual, ***************************** picked up the phone advertised on their site **************** ), did not answer, even though I could hear chatter in his space - and then hung up.I am flabbergasted that a business with these practices continues to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau.Business Response

E Mortgage Capital sent a text message to a number that does not belong to me with an unsolicited quote for a home equity loan. In the quote they disclosed my full name, credit score, and home value to a cell phone number that was not my own. this is an INCREDIBLY personal level of information to send to an unverified number without first contacting a person and feels highly questionable as a business model.Business Response

This "business" contacted me on May 3rd with an unsolicited offer for a mortgage. The company refuses to communicate with me regarding how it came to be in possession of my personal information. I have a concern that they likely obtained my information illegally. I reached out to the company with a demand to know how they obtained my personal information with no input or request from me, and they have refused to respond in a truthful manner, lending further credence to the likelihood that their actions are criminal in nature. I am also on the National Do Not Call Registry, and should not be receiving spam solicitations, further indicating that this action is likely criminal in nature. In order to satisfy this complaint, I will require this company to disclose in detail how it came to be in possession of my personal information. The "business" has not addressed why they violated the National Do Not Call registry by contacting me with unsolicited marketing emails nor how they intend to prevent these types of violations in the future for both me and other victims of their illegal marketing schemes. The claim that I am on some internal do not call list is unconvincing because they are willing to violate federal law, so their own internal policies carry literally no weight. I am in the processing of working with my current mortgage company aquire an equity loan. Since they ran a credit check and ordered apprasil this company E Mortgage Capital has been sending me a quotes and making referenses to my credit report. I did not ask for these quotes and I've ask them to stop more than 3 times. The company texted me without me ever having contacted them about a mortgage. They use credit bureaus to create a list of people for them to spam call/text and bother people having their credit pulled for mortgages. I would like to be taken off of their database.Business Response

Credit bureaus legally provide us with information about customers shopping for a mortgage and many of them are happy to hear from us as we often are able to offer a better deal, but having said that we also are more than happy to honor anyone's wish to be put on our internal do not call list.

I saw the exact same complaint on 3/7/24, to which the company replied they were ending this campaign immediately. I can confirm that never happened, as I received the exact same text message.This seems very suspicious and misleading. Your information was provided to us by the credit bureaus as someone who is shopping for a loan. We work very hard to honor peoples wishes.
