On April 27, 2023, Michael McDonagh entered into a Plea Agreement with the US Department of Justice. The Agreement settles allegations that Michael McDonagh engaged in wire fraud by claiming to provide financial relief to dozens of timeshare owners. The maximum sentence the Court can impose for the above violation is 20 years' imprisonment; a three year period of supervised release; a fine of $250,000 or twice the gross gain or gross loss resulting from the offense, whichever is greatest; and a mandatory special assessment of $100. Michael McDonagh will also be required to pay restitution. The sentencing date has been scheduled for October 30, 2023.
