1 starIs it possible to have negative stars? Where to begin with Bosch. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher last Jan/Feb after our 10-year old Frigidaire dishwasher had a terrible leak that ended up causing $15,000 worth of damage. One month after the Bosch dishwasher was installed, we starting receiving the **15 leak code. We had at least two different Bosch service providers look at the issue and could find nothing. We asked for a replacement then, but we're told by ****** that we would have to purchase another dishwasher and then wait for Bosch to do something. We allowed the service provider to "fix" whatever they could. Also, we were charged a service trip fee by a Bosch service provider. It took approximately 4 months to receive a refund on this from Bosch. This was after multiple customer service calls. In August 2023, we placed our house for sale to relocate to another city for a job opportunity. In December, the dishwasher leak code appeared again. This time we had a knowledgeable service provider come out and found the leak. He submitted all this to BSH. It has been almost a month. We continue to get the runaround from BSH customer service. We were informed yesterday that while we qualify for a replacement, they have no ETA on this. I reiterate WE ARE TRYING TO SELL A HOUSE. I have shared this fact with multiple BSH customer service representatives and have been told by *************************** the earliest resolution might be 4-6 weeks for review for a buy-back. How do we pass a home inspection with a defective dishwasher that we can't use? This company is the worst and I would tell my worst enemy to not purchase one product from Bosch unless they want to be frustrated and waste money on defective products.Review fromBill D

1 starFirst, the defrost pan on my 6 year old freezer failed. I couldn't get anyone to give me service on it so I called to ask what the resistance should be on the 2 different heaters. That was when I was told they do not offer diagnostic help via the phone. I explained I wanted the specification not help diagnosing but I was told no help over the phone and then disconnected. I finally tested and realized which one was not working. Got on the Thermador parts site and ordered the parts which they had in stock (I was pleasantly surprised). I ordered the parts and they offered two day shipping so I paid the $17.00 for the two day shipping. After receiving the tracking information, I checked the shipment status on Wednesday. It shipped on Monday and was scheduled to arrive the following Monday but it was now going to arrive early on Friday.... I should have received the parts on Wednesday. I called customer service and explained my disappointment and asked for reimbursement of the $17.00 charge for two day shipping. First I was told they could not reimburse me and I asked why they couldn't since I didn't receive it? Then I was told I had to file a claim with the shipping company. When asked how they would reimburse me for something I paid to Thermador, I was transferred to another department that deals with builders(?). She explained she could not do anything but submitted it to management for review and follow-up. I received a call Friday stating they could not reimburse me for shipping charges with no explanation other than when they shipped it on Monday it was after the cut off time for the two day shipping (Is this my fault?). I paid for this with a credit card so I submitted a dispute with them and within 15 minutes of filing the dispute I received a credit of $17.00. I don't think I will utilize Thermador directly for anything else should the need arise. It leaves me to wonder what would have happened if I didn't receive all of the parts?Review fromKevin D

1 starSTAY AWAY FROM BOSCH. PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK. We purchased a new Bosch induction cooktop, delivered 7/22/2023 from an authorized retailer, and it was installed on 8/28/2023 by my licensed contractor. The glass cooktop split down the middle while NOT IN USE on 9/14/2023 after only TWO WEEKS since installation. Nothing was ever dropped on it - in fact, we had barely used it or put anything on it up until that point. And the few times we did use it, we carefully followed all of the recommended use and care instructions outlined in the manufacturers manual. A Bosch service technician named ******* came to evaluate it on 9/22/2023, took pictures, and told us he would get back to us. My contractor also met with him again, and they determined that it was due to a manufacturer defect (NOT related to installation or use) and would be covered 100%. However, the part was on backorder. We waited for 6 weeks until 11/8/2023 for another technician named ***** to come out with the part. When he arrived, he told us that he needed evaluate it again to see whether it would be covered. We told him, no, we have already had numerous conversations with Bosch confirming that it would be covered. He said there was zero documentation of that in his system. In that case, why did you have the part with you? What did we wait almost 2 months for? He called his manager and said they would offer it at 50% off ($800). NO, that wasnt the agreement. This was basically feeling like a low level scam at this point, being pressured to sign on the spot. So, now weve been without a functioning cooktop for over 2 months after purchasing it new for $3,000 and we are back to square one. They are ignoring both my contract and my own texts and calls. They do not stand behind their products or own up to their mistakes. They WILL try to scam you and delay, lie, and make up excuses.Review fromChelsea H

1 starIf i could leave 0 stars I would.********** never worked. Hold times and customer service follow through are atrocious.I have made 7 calls, sent four emails, and I am still fighting with this.First, they sent a tech out. It took 3 full weeks to get an appointment. Then it took a week to get ahold of them. Then they had to process my exchange. That took days, and I had to follow up with them. They offered a different model (the louder one) which was a different price, with no mention of a refund. So i had call them, again. Then they put in the requestNo word.I had to chase them, again.By this time it had been over a month since I had their dishwasher installed. So i email to ask about timeline. They assure me they are working diligently to get an installer in my area.So I thought dishwasher installs must be super backed up. So I go online, find a dishwasher that has better specs, is the same size, is less money, and can be delivered and installed in 3 days. Done and done.I send a reply to Bosch asking for a full refund. It has been weeks and still no word from Bosch. An installer called me to tell me my Bosch dishwasher is ready to schedule. I refused, reiterating my desire for a full refund.I want my money back, and I want to never have to deal with Bosch ever again. They are selling units they know don't work, and hoping customers don't notice the price difference. All the onus is on the customer to get a working product rather than an expensive recall.Review fromSyeda R

1 starWe purchased a range in May of 2023. It fits in between two cabinets After the install we noticed that the margins between the stove and cabinets were uneven. On one side it was wider at the top than on the bottom and just the opposite on the other side. We called the appliance store where it was purchased and they sent a tech to check it out. In fact, they did this 4 times! Each time they reported back to the store that the cabinet sides, the floor and the countertop all are level. Level is not the problem. The stove is out of plumb - it is not square. Finally, the store sent a Thermador certified tech who gave the same diagnosis - everything in the install area is square. We had a JennAir range prior to this in the same area and all margins were equal. We then contacted Thermador and asked for a replacement. We were just informed that our claim was denied because all of their reports say the floor, countertop and cabinets are all square. The last tech they sent said he solved the problem by leveling the stove. WRONG! The side margins are still uneven but now one side of the stove is flush with the countertop and the other side is about 1/4" above the countertop. Regardless of what a person spends for a product, they deserve quality. Everyone's budget is different. As senior citizens in our 70's we thought hard and long before spending $8,000 for a stove, but we thought surely for that price we were getting a quality product. If we had read these reviews first we would have saved ourselves a lot of grief and been $8000 richer. We have numerous regrets concerning this purchase but the greatest is that we are stuck looking at this eyesore till we feel comfortable enough to get rid of it and purchase some other brand.Review fromStephanie O

THE WORST! We received a brand new dishwasher that never worked, straight out of the box. We were told that a certified tech had to come service the dishwasher. We were offered one option, who no longer services our area. I can not get another response from this company. It was an absolute waste of time. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!BSH Home Appliances Corp

1 starStay Away from this company - TOTAL RIP OFF!! Not only did they charge me to come out, they charged me for time spent ("work units") just to tell me what was wrong with my 4 year old THERMADOR fridge. I had a ***** ******* fridge for over 30 years that never had a repair. So, after I waited about 15 minutes for a representative to answer, she had to ask someone else what "WORK UNITS" are?? I ended up spending $705.48 for this repair. DO NOT BUY THERMADOR refrigerators and do NOT call this company for any repairs!!!Review fromJoanne M

1 starOur dishwasher (800series) started leaking and shutting down showing error E15. We were hopeful that it could be fixed so we called a technician to look at it and the diagnosis was that the tub has a leak and some rust present which is not fixable. I was very disappointed, as Bosch has the reputation of a good brand, and to have to throw away a dishwasher after 6 years without the possibility of repair was terrible news. I even purchased the extended warranty, which had just ran out, but I expect most things to break and be repairable, rather than be totaled after the first issue. The technician suggested we contact Bosch to inquire about the warranty, which I did. The Bosch website does list a limited lifetime warranty in case the tub breaks so I was hopeful. I called Bosh and was advised that I need to have a Bosch certified technician take a look at it before further discussion. A week later a Bosh-certified technician came and gave us the same diagnosis, written in a report ($124) which I sent to Bosch. After review **** said they will SELL me a new one for factory pricing- we have already been several weeks without a dishwasher so I accepted the offer to only find out I had to wait for 6 months to receive it - without a dishwasher in the meantime. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and was told one would call me back right away (as no-one was available), but now several weeks later, the call never came. The dishwasher was great, we liked it until it broke down and we had to dispose of it. The Bosch customer service experience is subpar. Not only did they not provide us with a reasonable offer to replace or fix the dishwasher, but they were not upfront about it from the beginning, we waited a month thinking that they would honor their warranty. I would say that they dont honor the warranty they offer or it is not offered in good faith. How many customers are in a position to wait 6 months for a replacement machine and still have to pay hundreds of dollars.
