On July 31, 2017 the Orange County District Attorney filed charges against Snezhana Semenov and Mathew Louis Finnes, owner and/or manager of New Way Beauty. They are accused of receiving stolen property and unauthorized practice of medicine. They presented themselves as nurses and performed laser treatments without working under a licensed physician, or having a registered nurse present.
