I purchased an air mattress in November. About a month ago it developed a leak, a couple weeks later I was able to locate the leak in a seam.I contacted intex to which they are willing to replace my mattress under warranty however they are requiring me to cut this air mattress and take pictures of the logo with my claim number. This is my only bed. I offered to let them put a hold on my card for the cost of the replacement ($99) and send pictures of the cut outs once I received it and them release the hold. This was not acceptable as I must render the bed completely unusable before I can get a replacement per their company policy. This is my only bed.Claim number with intex : ****** Per consumer law they are required to provide a 1 year manufacturer warranty against defects.

We had to take the pool down back in October. I called intext and they told me to cut a 6 inch piece of the pool liner where it was ripped and I did that plus I have a piece of the pool liner that says EX and another piece of the pool liner, the retailer never told me I had to cut a piece of the model number off of the pool or where it says Intex I dealt with Entex in the past and never had to do anything so I called the Thursday and they sent me an email to put the claimant and now they're denying my claim all I want is a new liner. The pool is only six months old at the time when we took the pool down. also, when speaking to the representative, I gave them the model number of the pool any questions please reach out to me at ************.

I purchased an Intex Dura-Beam **************** mattress on 12/10/2022. I has been aired up TWICE since having it, and already the electric pump has quit working. I tried to contact Intex, and I'm unable to get through and filling out a support ticket online, they consistently tell me there's an invalid character in my ticket and it refuses to process even when I've given the correct item number. They clearly don't want to be contacted or to actually fulfill support requests.

I purchased an Intex Air Mattress at Target and the second time I used it it did not stay inflated through the night. I looked and looked for a whole to plug up but could not find one. I tried to return it at Target only to find Target does not take air mattresses back once they are opened. Obviously, they have had issues with this before but are not willing to give good customer service. I was told I could use the money for another air mattress, but I did not want to buy another one fearing the same thing would happen. I was also told I could get in touch with the maker of the mattress, Intex Recreation Corp, so I did. I purchased the mattress on October 8/2022. I did not use it the second time for about 8 weeks after I purchased it. I sent my first email to Intex on 12/16/2022 letting them know about the defect. I heard back from them two days later asking me for more information. I responded on 12/21/22 with the information they requested. Then they asked me to send them the *** # of the item which I did. I never heard back from them. Realizing just this week that I have never heard back from Intex I called their **************** # and spoke with their Rep who told me first they would send me a replacement and then told me I needed to cut out two sections of the air mattress and send it along with the receipt at my cost in order to get a replacement- the reason being it was past the 90 day warranty! Which is because no one ever replied to my last online customer service reply from Dec. 21, 2022! Had they done this I would not have been past the warranty!!! All of this for a $29.99 air mattress which was a cheaply made to begin with. Otherwise, it would have never collapsed on the second use. I wrote them back yesterday letting them know the reason it was past the warranty was their fault to which I received and email saying my case was closed! I will be writing a letter to their President as well as the President of Target about this horrid customer service.

Description of *************************** on 9/7/22 claim ****** for a faulty filter motor. Received and installed. Now 4 mos later 1/3/23, same issue has occurred. Reached out to customer service to file another warranty claim. Spoke with Sirah at customer service who stated I had to return the whole spa unit (500 gal hot tub) on my own expense to them for them to decide if they will process an additional warranty claim for a faulty motor. According to manual, it can be requested with a prepaid postal and insurance. If I were provided the prepaid postal and insurance I would send back unit per request. I request either it be fixed and a prepaid label with insurance is provided by company or a refund of my whole unit which is ****** and still under warranty until April 28,2023

    Business Response

    Date: 01/06/2023

We apologize for any inconvenience you have encountered with your spa. As noted under the limited warranty of your Owner's Manual, "If the ************** directs you to return the product, please carefully package the product and send with shipping and insurance prepaid to the **************."

For a first replacement, the only requirement is to provide proof of purchase. A claim for a second replacement, requires that you ship the part to us. In this case the replacement filter motor. Regretfully, we do not process any refunds or provide return labels. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact the ************** at ************.

It should not be at my cost to return a piece of equipment that I have been told by agents is a known issue.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 01/19/2023

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Company has done nothing to attempt to find a common ground. All is asked is a prepaid shipping label. At this point, this is your manufacturer's defect and I will not request a repair nor will I be purchasing from this company. I request a refund

    Business Response

    Date: 01/19/2023

We understand and appreciate your feedback. However, to process a second claim, you will need to ship the item back to Intex. Please call ************, to initiate your claim.

Intex does not provide return labels.

Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with a refund, any refund would come from the retailer in accordance to their policy.

It is a known issue that your rep said. You should be flexible in assisting with a return label. It is apparent that you do not wish to resolve this issue or honor your warranty. Because it doesn't say that returning the part will be at customers cost.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/02/2023

Intex is honoring your warranty. We can replace your defective filter, provided you meet the claim requirements. As noted under the limited warranty section of your manual, you will need to send back the defective motor. Complaint: 19318569

I am rejecting this response because:
I will send back the motor via RMA in the same box that you send the new filter motor. What was requested by customer service when called was the entire spa (including tub and components) and I clarified this prior to initiating this complaint. If this is agreeable I will initiate the warranty request again.
    Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:

I find it ironic that I have zero communication for 3 mos. Last one was 2/2/23 and this one occurs just right outside of my limited warranty. I find this to be a malicious tactic. Honestly, I trashed the poorly made item months ago but at this point I reject this on the pure communication tactic that this company has just completed. Furthermore, I will never purchase an item made by your company again and any opportunity I have I will encourage others to not purchase your products.

I am rejecting this response because: apologies for a non response with no effort to attempt to resolve. And again this is more communication than I received in 3 mos. Then waited till after the warranty ended to making any further attempts to resolve. It is a joke. Terrible customer service

Purchased a twin size ************* twin airbed ************ at ******-receipt, barcode attached. It deflates-never held air for more than 10 min. I followed all instructions, which state to give it time to stay inflated because it stretches. It never stayed inflated. 180 day warranty expired during this time. I sent an email via the website asking for resolution. No response. Sent 2nd email, then reached an agent via chat. They said there was no recourse for replacement. I requested technical advice and received tips on how to check the pump seak. Since it deflates immediately, i asked for a new pump since the bed itself couldn't be returned. Request was declined. Since I followed all instructions and am left with nothing to show for my money, I would request resolution or compromise in order of preference: 1. Full replacement, 2. Replacement of pump and send me a leak repair kit. From reading online reviews, it seems likely that the issue could be a seam leak, which can't be repaired, so full replacement would be preferred. Thank you.

I purchased a air mattress from ******* and the product was from Intex themselves. I purchased the item back in September September 21 and here it is December and the product that I purchased is defective. When I inflate the air mattress it has a lump in the mattress. I filed a warranty claim and provided them with all the details they asked for and even showed them a receipt but they rejected my warranty claim when the product I purchased should have a manufacturer warranty. They said I need to cut out the parts that is defective but there is no parts defective such as the pump or plug. The problem is the mattress has a lump in it once it's inflated. How do I suppose to cut out a lump and send it to them also send the whole air mattress back in the mail. If I cut the air mattress the air mattress will buss.. As I stated to them how do I even ship a item back large as it is back that when I purchased it it came compressed. I also told them if I send item back what will I have to sleep on. They are not being fair about the situation. I wanted a replacement but at this point I would prefer a refund I don't want to end buying the same product to experience the same thing again. I would like my money back. I tried contacting******* but they would not refund me or replace item because it is out of store warranty. I need this inquiry to be forwarded to a supervisor at the warranty claims department. I have also attached photos to this inquiry of the damaged product and the proof of purchase.

I still would like my issue to passed to an supervisor. Into add there is no need to be hostile with your response. I don't appreciate being talked to like a child I'm a adult. I came at you with respect and I ask that I get the same in return. Keep things cordial and professional on your end and I'll do the same on my end.*********************** please get my request to a supervisor not the customer service. I don't prefer a replacement from this company to only experience the same outcome with this particular product. I prefer a refund check once I send in this cutout they are referring too. Thank you!

I purchased an INTEX Full size airbed 12/6/21 that had a defect. I filed claim #****** on 10/5/22. They told me to cut out any portion of the bed and mail it along with the warranty claim. Rec'd replacement airbed on 10/19.
I had the replacement airbed for 13 days. On Nov 2nd, day 14, the mattress suddenly deflated. Discovered defect in the rubber below air pump preventing airbed from holding air. Took video/photos on iPhone.
Called INTEX and opened claim #****** for a 2nd replacement. Told to upload the photo/movie of the defect & I didn't have to send cut-out of the defect or send a copy of original invoice as it was on file with the 1st claim.
Had difficulty uploading the photos. Claim resent twice, but still couldn't upload. Called 3rd time. Now agent altered my claim form to say I must ship back entire airbed at my cost, just because it was a 2nd replacement. This would cost more than what the bed cost in the first place. Why pay $65.+ when I could send another $5 certified letter with defect cutout?
INTEX's actions getting the 2nd replacement airbed is a breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing.
INTEX also manipulated the requirements of my claim #****** to make it impossible to fulfill the 2nd replacement, which is my right under the warranty.
I contacted them about the second defect within the 15-day period as per their instructions so am within my rights to receive 2nd replacement for the original airbed, still under warranty until 12/06/22 (or 12/15/22 which is a year from actually receiving the airbed).
I believe they have also committed fraud by using airbeds that don't pass inspection for their replacement airbeds & then, knowing it won't last, enforce non-written policy having consumer ship bed back at their own cost = more than purchase price of original bed, thereby preventing customers from their right to a replacement under warranty. I want full refund of $59.98.
