My complaint is against West Coast dental office of ******************* located at ********************************************************************************* I paid for dental services and was assured on multiple visits that I would be receiving credits back toward my bill. The office Manager in charge of billing coerced me into treatments that were not necessary which depleted my insurance coverage. She kept claiming that credits would be applied for various reasons and providing me paperwork to sign off on right before procedures. The dentist did not have the correct materials needed to complete my service and had to call for authorization from another department and order the materials. This took almost two months. Plenty of time to verify everything with the insurance and apply all credits as she guaranteed. I waited for a phone call from her and several times I called in requesting to speak with her to no avail. There was always a reason or excuse why she couldn't take my call. I left my name and phone number with office staff at least 10 times regarding this issue. They assured me she was getting the message, even hand written on posted notes at times. Eventually they outsourced one of my procedures to another dentist ( specialist) in which she claimed I would be reimbursed any overages after everything was done. I followed their suggestions and even completed my final appointment there in the office a month later. Once everything was complete they scheduled a follow up appointment 3 months out to make sure everything healed properly. Great, this would give *********************** office manager plenty of time to correct ALL of the billing and apply ALL of the credits she had been guaranteeing me the whole time. Again I placed several phone calls and left several messages. Eventually I received a call. I reminded her of the credits. She remembered and said she has to check with another department. She said this would take 1 week and she would contact me. This was two months ago. Still no call.Initial Complaint

I went for dental procedures and during the billing process i noticed that invoice provided didn't have itemized description of each charge. since they wouldn't provide me with one i decided to cancel my pending remaining procedures. Which caused them to owe me money and the office submitted a refund request. This happened around june 2023 and when my refund didnt go through i kept asking what the issue was. Corporate said it would look into it and never called me back and after 6 months of asking why was my refund not being processed said that the office submitted it wrong and they couldn't get a hold of anyone from their own business. i had to miss hours from work to try to get answers and now i have to wait for a second submission attempt.Initial Complaint

I visited the dentist with my husband and children on Aug. 7, 2023. I went for a simple cleaning and exam, which I understood to be preventive and not to have any cost associated, as I inquired about cost with the receptionist as we left the office that day. I received a $436 bill two months later, and an identical bill for my husband. When I called my dental insurance, they informed me that Dental Group of Arcadia billed me for services that were not covered under my insurance. I never consented to procedures that were not covered. According to my insurance, the two procedures that were not covered were:- 2D facial X-rays - Fluoride treatment I believe the fluoride treatments were given to my kids (ages 3 & 7) and mistakenly billed to us. I do not believe adults typically receive fluoride treatments. Our children have a different dental insurance plan than we do (via Covered ********** rather than my employer).I did initially receive a bill via text message and email that I believed to be a phishing scam, as it was from "yourdentistoffice.com," which was not the website of my dentist, so I ignored it. I did not realize I was actually being billed for a routine preventive cleaning until I received a bill in the mail from collections on Oct. 31st.I have taken the following actions to get resolution:- 10/31/23: I spoke on the phone with West Coast Dental (corporate office of Dental Group of Arcadia)- 10/31: I spoke with my insurer, Delta Dental - 11/13/23: I called West Coast Dental and left a message - 11/13/23: I filed a grievance online with West Coast Dental - 12/5/23: I called Dental Group of Arcadia at ************ and left a message asking them to call me back.I have never heard back from West Coast Dental nor Dental Group of Arcadia since I have spoken to my insurer to gain clarity on the issue. My account number on the bill is ********, and my husband's is ********.Initial Complaint

Also number 31 tooth was chipped so it needed a crown over it!! Dr ***** wassif extracted number 30 and did a bone graft replacement. He also filled number 31 on 10/03/2023. (No crown)I have been in the worse pain since this day. Going back every week 10/07/23 10/14/23 10/20/23 and 10/27/23. On 10/27/23 *************** took another xray and **nvinced me the pain was **ming from my wisdom tooth pushing number 31 tooth and up rooting it because number 30 tooth had been removed!! So he re**mmended i do a bridge to stabilize the teeth asap!! So he did the bridge. I was told my insurance did not **ver the bridge so i will have to pay over $3000 dollars out of pocket!! I paid the money. Went home and call my insurance and found out they over charged me tremendously!! 3 times the amount! This dentist office has a **ntract with my insurance and have set fees on procedures!! The bridge should not have been more then $700 out of pocket ** pay!! I am still in pain with a temporary bridge in my mouth!! No trust in this dentist office so i went back to my old dentist office and found out there was still infection in the area ****** dental refused to touch the work the other dentist did!! So ****** dental prescribed me antibiotics and pain medication and referred me back to west coast dental! At this point i have been robbed for $3000 still in pain and this doctor supposed to put a permanent bridge in my mouth on the 11/17/23!! I refuse to go back!! I need help getting my money back!! Also believe this office is using left over materials from other patients!! I pray this bone graft heals!! That i also paid $450 for and didnt need because on my option is a bridge because *************** said he did the filling to big and its not going to hold!! Best option now is a bridge!!!! I paid a total of $3450 to be in pain!! And I dont know whats wrong with my teeth!!!Initial Complaint

Hello, my name is ********************* , Chart # *****-1, I receive my ortho treatment at the West Coast Dental at **************************************************************. I received my braces treatment in March 2020, I was quoted an overall amount of how much the braces would cost, but out of pocket I paid 700$ while my insurance GEHA handled the rest, I believe my treatment went over longer of the initial months of treatment, and **** stopped paying for the last amount of ******* in February 2023, and my dentist office notified me of the balance and told me to contact my insurance, I did, in which my insurance told me to have my orthopedic dental office to send over paperwork (chart notes, extension of treatment, diagnostic photos, etc) for further determination of benefits for that amount. I have been back and forth with that dental office with ***** and ****** and their secretaries trying to get them to send over information to my insurance to handle this debt amount. They refuse to handle it and ignore my advances whenever I call to ask for them to send this information, I deserve to be treated with the same dignity and respect and accommodation as any other patient and not discriminated against in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood. As of today I last spoke with ***** on 10/17/23 and physically handed her a copy of the form from GEHA that they said on 5/18/23 they would handle and send over and never did and I believe this situation is still being ignored and not properly handled and taken care of. As of today that balance has now fell into collections and WEST COAST DENTAL OF PARAMOUNT refuses to handle this situation of billing that shouldnt take over 6 months to send over documents and because of their negligence has caused me to be in debt and I need help and resolution to this situation ASAP. The office manager ******************************** at ****************** and **** location, charged me $3,150 on 6/14/23, stated that I needed this treatment done when the oral surgeon extracts all of my lower teeth. The surgeon refused to do the extraction due to my pre-existing medical condition RA and Im in remission at the present time and he referred me the The **** medical center he explained that Removing the teeth can cause my bone to tear. The procedure was never done so I requested my money back and they keep giving the runaround that they send me a check. That was a lie the office manager has done nothing to refund my money back. Im requesting help to get my money back from the dental office.Initial Complaint

On May 16, 2023 my daughter, *************************** (Account#: ********, was recommended a treatment plan by West Coast Dental of **************** *********************** ***** that will be $3595.00 in out-of-pocket cost. I paid an down payment of $600.00 on May 16, 2023 that was processed by ***************************** de la ***** using my debit card ending in **************. I then decided to get a second opinion from another dental office which advised me that the recommended treatment was unnecessary and not required for a 5 year old. I decided to go with the second dentist and significantly reduced my out-of-pocket cost. On July 18, 2023, I went to West Coast Dental of ****************, spoked with ********* and requested a refund for the down payment of $600.00. She stated that it will take 4-6 weeks to received my refund, if after 6 weeks I don't received anything to give her a call. More than 6 weeks passed and I did not received anything so I decided to call on August 25, 2023 and they advice me that refund got processed on August 15, 2023 and to wait another 15 days. Its been more than 15 days now and I haven't received anything. On September 18, 2023 I again visited the West Coast Dental of **************** and they said that my refund is still in process but would not give me any details of why its taking so long. ********* De La ***** then provided me with the Corporate number of the ***************** as *************. I call this number multiple times and every time I press 0 to speak to an operator, it goes directly to a voice mail. I have left my name and number and till this day none of my calls have been returned. I just want my refund back as soon as possible. This dental office preys on victims who don't know anything about dental procedures and bogus treatment that no one needs in order to bleed money from their victims. I recommend everyone to seek a second dental opinion before undergoing treatment at this office. A bunch of crooks I tell you.Initial Complaint

On June 16th 2023, I went into the facility due to an infection to a tooth. I scheduled a root canal and originally denied a crown being placed as I did not live in the area. I was told the crown would be in before I left back to ***** and was scared into believing that no physician would do a crown since they did not do the "prep work". Reluctantly I agreed and put a deposit plus set up auto pay to finish paying for the services on the crown. The root canal was covered by my insurance from my understanding. When I returned July 5th the crown did not fit. I expressed frustration as I was never told this could be a potential issue. I was guaranteed that I would have all the services completed. The Lenika (manager) stated they would refund my money that I had already deposited as the error came from poor molding they had done. I waited for a refund and a phone call from them and have yet to receive either. They have continued to charge my credit card even though I have called and cancelled the authorization for them to charge my card. I have called multiple times to have this situation resolved as they had stated it would take up to 2 weeks. It has now been 3 months and have yet to receive any information from them. I keep getting calls from their corporate regarding my account, but when I speak to them, no one knows what is going on. I have spoken to multiple people regarding this situation and at this point I am not sure what else to do as ****** refuses to return my calls.
