I had originally prepaid for orthodontic treatment, $995, back in 2022, recently I changed my mind for personal reasons to not move forward with the treatment, I called the office on 5/31/23 to cancel the treatment and request a refund, I was told they would process the cancelation and issue refund once orthodontic audit had been done to make sure no treatment was done, on mid June I was told that the audit was completed and refund would be issued in ***** days to the original payment method, however I paid with a credit card that has been closed, office manager said no worries it would be sent as a check. I have called the corporate office on a biweekly basis for an update and always get the runaround, I have been more than patient to receive my refund but nobody seems to have an update, per the office manger, it is out of her control now, I really appreciate all her help, however now the issue is with the corporate office who will not issue refund, this is going on 90 days, when I was told ***** days.************************* 2/14/82Initial Complaint

My son needed a bridge and I took him to this office, they were extremely nice and helpful, they told me to purchase the best quality to ensure at least 10 years for the bridge. Its been less than 2 years and my sons bridge has broken. He has had no trauma to the area. ****** the manager is incredibly inconsistent with returning calls and said that there is only a year warranty. None of my paperwork says 1 year. $8,000 later and no solution in sight is saddening. Also when I ask for the actual dentist information the manager says that they are no longer there. I dont understand why that cant give me the servicing provider information.Initial Complaint

On June 9th of 2023, I went into West Coast Dental to request a refund for a treatment I did not receive but paid for in March of 2021. After discussing with a dentist (whos name I do not remember) why I couldnt get the procedure done, she agreed to process the refund and said I should expect my money within 2-3 weeks. It is now July 11th 2023 and I have not received my refund. I called yesterday, July 10th at around 10 AM to receive a status. And, after being rudely helped by a receptionist claiming that I was changing my story on what was happening, I was told I would get a call back from the manager to receive a status update. After not getting a call back, I called again and was told that the manager was too busy responding to other calls and that they are processing them chronologically and would either call me back by the end of the day or the following day (which is today as of the submission of this complaint). After not receiving a call all day (currently 4 PM), I called the office and was told by a different lady that I had to call their corporate office myself to discuss my refund. I asked why no one informed me that I had to complete additional steps to receive my refund and she simply told me she could not answer. I called corporate and I my phone call hasnt been answered and Im desperately needing help from what seems like a bunch of misleading and lies.Initial Complaint

I gave a $600 downp payment because that's what I was told by the ************** office I needed to start treatment. After giving the money, they kept telling me something different each time. Something didn't feel right about this dentist office so I canceled treatment that was never started. They said 3 weeks to get a refund. 2 months have passed and they act like they are so poor to pay back my money. How can that be when I read dozens of complaints that this company steals patients money. They should be a million dollar company already with just the money they take from patients and insurance without doing the work. I will get my money back plus interest from this company if they think they can take their sweet time with my refund.Initial Complaint

I visited a West Coast Dental office on 3/31/23 and was charged $130 for a procedure that was not done. I asked for a refund and they told me that it would take six weeks to be issued my refund. Provided horrible service. Dentures were poorly made. Even after trying to get them adjusted to fit several times, they were so painful they made my gums bleed. The dental tech said she couldn't adjust further because they would break and could see visible marks on my gums where they were causing me pain. Staff told me the dentist who made them was let go soon after. I've been trying since December to get the rest of my refund and they transfer me from place to place and have me sign paper after paper and nothing. Have asked endless times to speak to a regional manager and they never get me over to one. They made me sign a form that they said they couldn't process the refund without but the wording makes it seem like nothing will be given back (see below). I sincerely hope they do so because they won't tell me in writing how much they'll refund. I highly recommend people stay away from this business. Service is subpar and customer service with resolution of any complaint is the worse I've ever encountered.Initial Complaint

This business has repeatedly lied to me about information regarding treatment and how to file a complaint with their main offices. They have been late multiple times to opening their stores, causing me to be late to work.Recently, August 2022, I got a permeant crown out in for a tooth. The crown fell out shortly after in December. When called to schedule a recement, ******* (front desk receptionist) told me to come in ******* to get it put back in. She apologized and said a crown so new shouldnt be falling out while flossing. They put it back in and two weeks later it calls out again. The out it in again and a new doctor tells me the doctor that did it before did a bad job of casting the crown. She recommends I get a new crown and a crown extension on the gums. I tell her that the office should cover the costs of this was their problem. She said that is true and told me to refer to the frost desk. She recemented the tooth but said it has a high chance of falling out again. The front desk said they would have to charge for the new crown if I get one and the fault wasnt theirs. Then try to blame me for grinding teeth, which has never been brought up by the dentist prior as a problem with my teeth. The crown falls out less than two weeks later and now they refuse to see me unless I pay for their past mistakes.Most dentists locally will not work in a tooth another dentist had worked on to to liability. So its become impossible to try and get resolved.The office at West Coast Dental sends me on a goose chase to contact customer service and cooperate. Ive been given fake numbers and fake emails that bounce back, as well as, generic corporate numbers and a supervisor who never returns calls.When trying to call the front office back I am lied to and ignored.Initial Complaint

I have been a client with this business previously known as ************** childrens dental building since I was 14 years old. Both my children has had services braces and so have I.I received a bridge, which is a partial that is on the left side, on the upper top of my mouth. I noticed that it is starting to slide. To my understanding this bridge work has a lifetime warranty I paid a substantial amount of money for this work to be done. ******* advised me that his manager ***** said that that lifetime warranty had been null in void because I did not continue to receive there services every six months. I explained that we have recently come out of a pandemic and had I noticed that my bridge was slipping. Why would I want to schedule an appointment to pay for a service that has been paid for. Spend more money for a company that did not follow up to advise me of a six month check up to see how it was doing during a pandemic, and not honor its word for a contract that they could not find however but was confident and gave me a firm no that it was not covered? The West Coast dental location in ********* ********** is what I'm complaining about today. January 30th 2023 my son who is 7 years old had an appointment at 10:00 a.m. and we we're not called back till 11: 30am.. just to sit for another hour and a half in a dental room and the only thing that they did was weigh my son before they decided to give him his medicine for his surgery which took place at about 12:40 p.m... at about 1:30 p.m. they decided to come get my son and start on his procedure.. this procedure took less than 30 minutes. I want to know why this place is letting people sit around for 4 hours when they're literally doing less than 30 minutes of work on you it is absurd! I am not the only one a couple people had to get up and walk out because they are tired of sitting for 3 hours May I remind you my son's appointment was at 10:00am!!!! I didn't get out of that place till 2:00 pm!!!! People have lives and jobs and things to do we just can't sit around a dental office for 4 hours just for them to only do 30 minutes of work!!! The management at this dental office needs to be retrained or you need a new manager because none of them are compassionate nor care about how you feel they just keep saying I will be with you in a minute. Even when walking into this place no one even greets you and says good morning they just wait and don't say anything to you they're rude!!! I don't see why my insurance needs to be billed for 4 hours when something was done less than 30mins!!! There was a woman before me who was getting the exact same thing done with her daughter and she waited the same amount of time. Nevertheless I will be searching for a new dentist for my children and myself because this dentist is not accommodating and the staff is rude!!!Initial Complaint

on June 30 2022 I paid them with my credit card ****** for a deep cleaning antibiotic that they said were not cover from my dental insurance $200.00 Delta, and also night guard $200.00 that was defective and they did not want to made it again, and $250 for a whitening that I never got on September they supposed to give me the whitening and they did not have it so the manager told me we will give you back the money, I ask her how long will take? she responded 4 to 6 days, well 2 months went by I was calling and she was or busy or she was going to called me back her name is: *******************, I went to the clinic and she took for ever to receive me, she was not busy in a rude manner she told me o yeah I need to file a petition, and I asked her why didn't you do it before? she did not respond, that was on 11/21/2022 I have called they dont have an answer who ever answer me send me to someone else is being like that, im a Senior I live on my retirement and the credit card is accruing interest mean while, im getting headaches and I suffer from anxiety and depression this problem is making it worse
