1 starI've tried contacted the business to speak directly with someone about an issue I've been having at an apartment complex based in ************, ** for a while now. This issue needs to be resolved ASAP, but I can never get a hold of anyone. Someone was fatally shot in my apartment complex and there are some personal issues I have concerning safety because I feel as if the apartment complex is not taking issues seriously.Review fromMadison L

1 starI am a contractor for a JRK property in ************** ** ************ and the property manager have no structure or any type of management skills. If you hire a contractor (me) you should not be over a month with out pay. My first check was past a month I let it go. My LAST CHECK I will be getting with this company due to poor management and communication. I am STILL WAITING for a response about my check it's been past 30 days! No one in corporate or the property manager ****** will respond to my texts via calls etc. she said everyone up and quit. That's a personal issue. I provided the cleanings for town homes to be paid. I expect to have professional communication provided and expected to be paid. My next move is civil court. Do not be a contractor for this company. Do better. Will report to BBB as well due to other issues I had with manager on propertyReview fromJenna H

1 star0 stars! My move in date was changed on me 3x and then was told I couldn't move in on the date I was scheduled to move in. When I entered the apartment it looked NOTHING like the "luxury" apartment I was told I was getting. When I complained I was told "well this is the one you got if you don't like it you can pay to break your lease." The walls were stained, the carpet was black and smelled horrible, and the countertops crumbled when you touched them, the ceilings were bubbling and cracking. The whole complex including my apartment unit is INFESTED with cockroaches and bugs even though we are charged for pest control each month. Trash everywhere throughout the apartment spread outside the dumpsters into the parking lot. The ceiling outside my apartment caved in and was never fixed the whole year I lived there. Cars were constantly getting broken into and vandalized including mine which the office told me not their problem; even though there are "security gates" that were never working. When I moved out I requested the property manager to do a run through with me because I didn't feel comfortable with how things were handled. She assured me she was there to make the place better and agreed to give me my full deposit back. When I was told I was only receiving a portion of it I went in to talk to the property manager and she agreed to change it. I was told on two different occasions my check was sent out on 8/11/2022, 16 days later I'm being told that I was never told that and the check was just received in their office yesterday and they are working to get it sent out. Whenever I called the property manager will not get on the phone with me and will never call me back. The only time I've been able speak to her is when I show up. She is extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Every time I am told a different story it's been 2 months since I moved out and I still don't have my check. BEWARE OF THIS SO CALLED LUXURY APARTMENT!Review fromLilian R

1 starThey have NOT REFUNDED my deposit for an apartment we did not get since MAY 22 (today is 9/1). This seems like theft. I call them daily and keep being told the check is "in the mail"!Review fromNick S

1 starWhen I lived there I was very satisfied with the Apartment. My opinion of them has drastically changed since when I have been trying to get my security deposit back. First off they attempted to send me to pre-collections without notifying me of this even though I talked to people in the office and told me I was all square on payments. Second they have lied to me when my security deposit check was mailed and to this day have yet to receive it. Lastly there customer service is awful and embarrassing. I was told by their staff they don't have time for me because there helping current residents that was just a slap in the face. They staff needs to look at themselves in the mirror and start to take accountability for there actions I would not suggest these apartments to anyone just because of how bad the customer service is.Review fromTamyra M

1 starI want to give it 0 stars honestly. I've been a tenant here for 2.5 years...terrible I know. But when I first moved there was a rent special going on for $1289 for a 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom, couldn't beat it. However, as the months went by, everything in the apartment was breaking, mind you i was there maybe 3x a month at this point...the hallways are always dirty and smells like dog pee ALL THE TIME. My door's password ** get in was never fixed so that raised a major safety concern for me seeing as though I moved here to feel safe after a home invasion. Don't even bother calling the leasing office....and the property manager Aimee?? TERRIBLE! The worst entitled nasty attitude of all time. I don't even understand how she even got the job. They are very unorganized and unprofessional. I haven't been in my apartment for months but when I went back my bathroom rug was soaking wet. I filed a case with Unite to help with my rent in December, Concierge did not do their part until February delaying the process. They then didn't do it right and was very confrontational about it only to find out that she was sending the wrong information about the wrong tenant which then delayed the process even more. It was so bad that I was not able to get my full rent paid off because the program closed a day after the information was turned in on their behalf. I am on a month to month lease now and let them know that I was leaving and they stated I had to give them a 60 day notice. It states that in the lease that I signed; however, I am not in a contracted lease anymore so that should not apply. Now I'm stuck owing them $6k for 2 months, MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. There were teenage kids smoking crack in the hallways, obviously because you do not need a key or a code to get in because it was never fixed. I am now officially moved out of the apartment as of July 31, 2022 and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not even their pets.Review fromCharles N

1 starThe people running this place are absolute garbage. Been living for 4+ years all of a sudden bills are increased over 30% with no explanation or reason for the increase. I have attempted to make multiple contacts. Have been paying everybill on time. And now I am being charged a late fee for so called "delinquent payment". So its lying, and evading questions and responsibility of their business practices. Disgusted. Please put a stop to this!Review fromMegan E

1 starDeserves 0 stars. The front gate is always broken and propped open. It is no longer a "gated community" at that point. We continuously receive emails about and notices threatening a $75 fine for leaving trash on the ground although the trash compactor is always broken. Many issue with the apartment. The A/C broke and flooded the apartment causing mold growth and wall damage in the 2nd bedroom. The wood window frames are rotting outside and causing leaks into the bedrooms during stores. The landscapers blow dirt into your 1st floor patio while maintaining your "yard". The front office staff is rude and unhelpful. They will tell you they don't have your package that was just delivered even if you can see the package sitting in front of you. The place is overrun by roaches and spiders despite weekly "pest control". Overall, very disappointed in the condition of the complex. We thought we were getting a good deal. Then we got a printed list of new rent prices shoved in our front door frame at 1 o'clock in the morning that detailed a 50% increase in rent without any upgrades to the property. You don't get a property worth your money here at The Fountains at Chatham Parkway.Review fromAmanda H

1 starMoved out of one of their apartments over 3 months and am still waiting to get my security deposit back. Since the 30 day period to return the security deposit has passed, I have been calling and emailing to see what is going on. It's extremely difficult to get in touch with someone and when I do, there is always a different reason they haven't returned my security deposit.Review fromMaia G

1 starThis place is a scam. My roommate and I were not allowed to see our potential unit and the EVENING before our move in date I was called and told that our unit was not ready because a toilet FELL through the ceiling to the apartment below. The managers solution was (with out any sort of compensation for the inconvenience) "we can move you to another unit in another building then in 3 weeks move you back to the original unit. Or we can put you in a three bedroom unit, but you probably don't want to do that because it's more expensive." We found that the managers of the property were extremely unprofessional with their communication and customer service as we both never felt welcomed or heard with our questions and concerns. When I expressed that we would like to get our $400 deposit back they were very quick to agree and take down our information for a check to be written and mailed to us. We had never signed any part of the (81 page) lease and never once set foot into the unit or lived on the property in any way. Two weeks later, I received a check in the mail for $150 with no receipt for what the amount was for. That is less than half of the money that we gave this property and never even got to set foot into the unit! The customer communication was absolutely terrible in the way that the voicemail box for the property would be FULL for several days, not being able to leave a message. As well, they rarely every answered any of our multiple emails. The pictures that this property posts on their website and others were completely false representations of the actual property which was over flowing with trash and the buildings looked run down. Overall the property is extremely poorly managed and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
