1 starBad Business practice, In capable Leasing Agents
Spoke to property leasing agent - Lacy on the phone on May 16th for a 2Bed/2Bath apartment for my daughter's college stay, there were no apartments and they asked to fill-in the application and submit $334.75 (Payment Amount $325.00 + Convenience Fee $9.75)
She mentioned that the $325 will be returned if I pull the application or apartment is not available. We found another apartment and signed up the contract as the availability in the college are is limited and taken quick.
When called today 5/22 to get the refund, Shenola (leasing manager) picked up the call and mentioned that they will deposit only $250 in a mail in 4-6 weeks. I am supposed to get $325 and she was so rude that there is an application fee of $75 and that will not be refunded. There are no other steps done by them other than collecting $334.75 and there were no credit checks performed as there were no apartments assigned and the application is in waiting list.
I asked her to transfer to Lacy and she mentioned Lacy is on Maternity leave. Shenola was too rude and threatened me that she can write off the entire $334.75 and doesn't owe a single penny.
This was a complete bad business practice, scam and looting the consumers without any service. These kind of associates should not be encouraged to perform these jobs. Complete unfit and threatening the consumers as they hold our money already.Review fromDiane G

1 starHorrific on so many levels. Asbestos flaking off the walls; led in the pipes; dishonest management and leasing practices; dirty and unsafe facilities; urine and graffiti all over interior stairwells; lights out in interior stairwells; accessibility nightmare with one of three elevators working at any time (never more). It should not take me half an hour to get downstairs from the fifth floor and I should not feel unsafe walking down the interior stairwells. The management is so bad that they ignore phone calls, will not respond to emails; and close the office during scheduled appointments to avoid the person with the complaint; they contract to multiple third party companies (laundry, mail, and security) that they do not tell you about on move in but you're financially responsible for; inaccurate billing that persisted for eight/twelve months that we lived there and we now "owe" over 1k after moving out for inaccurate charges. YET THEY WONT COMMUNICATE TO RESOLVE THE INACCURATE BILLING. I've left a lot out just save your sanity and your time. DO NOT RENT AT THE **** Move in May 4, 2024. Move out May 3, 2025. ********* MORRAIRAH (New Manager) NEEDS TO CALL ME.Review fromCaitlin P

1 starI would highly recommend NOT moving here. The complex owner is facing a class action lawsuit for allegedly (since it's pending litigation) illegally evicting residents, allegedly charging over $200 a month for water, trash, and sewer(i currently live in a house and our water trash and sewer is $70/month), ***** infestation, and the manager is allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars a month in bogus "insurance non-compliance fees" and "utility late fees". Oh, and said manager illegally entered my apartment before I'd fully moved out and sent collections after me for cleaning fees she's accusing me of despite her illegally entering my unit before I turned in my key, with no 24 hour notice of her planning on entering my unit and before I cleaned it up on the 29th. My intent to vacate was by April 30th. When I confronted her about the $900 collections fee, she showed me pics of my apartment before I cleaned it. I asked when she took the pictures, and she said April 28th, 2 days before I turned my key in, hence trespassing.Review fromAutumn H

2 starsApartment Units:The apartments are decent, with modern appliances like a gas stove, and ample space for a small family. However, they show signs of wear such as scratches on doors, cracked walls, and drawers that dont close properly. The laminate flooring is uneven. While the hallways have been updated, the units themselves need more attention.Update (September 2024): My west-facing apartment overheated in the summer, often reaching 80F or more, despite the A/C running at 68F. This may be due to poor insulation or a faulty A/C.Amenities:The pool is the best feature, with grills available, but is frequently overfilled with families who don't live there. The weight room is underwhelming, and the rock wall is rarely used. Small dog areas are average, and I avoid the laundry facilities due to safety **************************** staff is friendly in person, but communication with management is slow and inconsistent. The mail room is disorganized, and maintenance was initially unresponsive.Update (February 2024): Maintenance has improved, becoming more prompt and thorough as long as DJ is in charge. Snow removal is efficient, but sidewalk clearing is poorly timed.Other Issues:In 2023, reserved parking spots ($50/month) were added near the front entrance, displacing existing spaces for residents.Review fromSatrina J

1 starI would not recommend Heritage at ******** in *****, ***** to anyone especially seniors or those looking for a well-maintained living environment. My mother is elderly parent livered here and my experience was unacceptable. I had maintenance issue that were ignored and failed to address serious issues like leaks and bug issue and mold and etc. Also, pest problems and unfair security deposit practices that kept all my mother's security deposit after moving out, they unjustly kept the security deposit. We left due to no good living conditions, and we give them enough time 120 days stating we were moving out. We had bugs in our food and at night we had to wear mask so bugs would get in our mouth. The lack of care and professionalism from management and two coast living made this a frustrating and disappointing experience. They even sent my mother to collections and kept security deposit, and we paid our rent every month. I will show picture when we moved in and after. Also, have video of the place when we moved out. If you are considering renting her, be aware of these ongoing issues and the company Two-coast living is rated 1.4.Review fromLo P

1 starWorse company, the fact that they also work with the towing company to find little things to get your car towed for nonsense things. EVERY SINGLE TIME! Called them a couple of times, no one answers, even walked to the leasing office, theyre in there, but decides to lock the doors so that they cant be bothered. Why are we paying for the common area, when no one can even go in there since their office is part of the area. I wasted a lot of money in this place being promised that new management will fix this place up, but no. Still have black mold all over my living space. Takes them ages just to come fix anything. And their staffs are rude.Review fromKelly K

1 starThe apartments themselves are nice, however the staff & the way the property is managed is by far the worst I've ever encountered. The office tells you to call them if you need anything but in the 9 months that I've lived here I've gotten someone to answer the phone maybe 4 times. They charge a rental insurance noncompliance fee every single month even though my renters insurance is active and I've submitted it to them multiple *********** not the only person this is happening to as they've started handing out flyers telling everyone to make sure everyone's policy is up to date. It is. & you know this, but you tell us that the fee gets added automatically, but then you won't answer your phone to remove it, I have to call over and over and over and then go into the office to have the same conversation with you for the 10th time. In order to remove it they say, call the office, but nobody ever answers the phone. Says to leave a message & they'll get back to you, nobody has ever called me back. Their resident portal will show one thing and then the office will tell you another, the most recent being the ability to change the auto pay date for rent. Portal showed when my next payment was due while the office was charging me late fees for rent. I explained the situation to them, offered to show them the confirmation email I received stating the payment date was updated and yet they still refused to remove the fees. I also had asked for a copy of rent payments, Brook told me she would pull them for me and send them to me the following day. A few days later I spoke with ******** and she told me they aren't allowed to give me receipts until I move out. I asked to see them on the computer and conveniently there was an update happening so she said she wouldn't be able to show me any information. I talked with Brook 2 days ago & she again told me that she would send me copies, but the likelihood of that happening seems to be slim. If you're considering moving here, dont.Review fromKimberly J

1 starI started the process ******* After applying I spoke *************** Each time I called I got a different answer. Before applying I let them know that I had a deadline 2b moved 4 work. BOTH ladies told me that we were waiting on corp to sign off. I questioned if evrything cleared and they stated ********. Just have to sign off. Yesterday I called the office several times. They said the manager was flying in and would call me once she got in. then I called after lunch&she was coming in at 3:50, I called at 5:30& then she never showed up blah blah blah. I instantly gets an email from *** ***** asking for more information on my rental history. I submitted what I had, she needed more dates. She asked for a ledger due to the company i'm with do not complete verifications. I submit to her with her approval my bank statements then she asked for the ledger. Never called or emailed I had to email her like hey what's going on? Are we good or no? She then say I need the ledger. I finally get the ledger she asked for and Less than 3 minutes I get an email saying Denied due to credit BUT then she emails me saying I was denied due to the ledger showing I caused damage to the prev. Home. WHAT ALSO SHOWED was that those charges was WRITTEN OFF bc the damages charged were invalid. I don't have a pet so when they removed the carpet and said it was damaged due to a pet they simply removed the fees. The ledger also showed that I owed $0.00 and I am CURRENTLY in another unit with the same company.. I replied back to the email asking her to simply look at the ledger it shows that I in fact do not owe. It didn't say that I PAID it (meaning the charges was valid) It shows the company removed those charges from my account AND I got all $2600 deposit back. She still denied me. I seen a few reviews on here similar to mine and decided to post my experience here as well. She claim to be refunding my deposit. I will come back and update when I get it.
