1 starI bought my HVAC system from them 5 years ago. Price and installing was excellent. However after then the service appointments requiring phone call as they were on the way never happened. Some times I got a call stating technician was running late but they had not even made an appointment. They just sending someone without contacting me. I had an appointment for a morning plumbing inspection (8-noon). I called at 12:15 and they said they changed it to an afternoon appointment. I said NO. You have to call first. You do not just change it without notice. Cancel this appointment. The technicians they send out have ALL been excellent, but the scheduling/dispatch area is horrible. I have had an annual contract ever since the warranty expired. However I will not due any business with them after this contract is over.Review fromChris W

1 starMy water heater needed replacing and they came out and gave me quote ranging from 5.5k to over $14,000 for a top of the line system. This is predatory salesmanship for a system that ended up being less than 2k at a big box store. I know people who have even done it for cheaper but I was completely satisfied with the equipment and installation priced at 2k. Someone needs to rain ********* in for preying on people in troubled times.Review fromJen S

1 starOne issue can be understood, but constant issues, no return calls, no show by technician is just enough with this company. How can they continue to pride themselves on their customer service when they literally cannot even return a call? There are a million other options for HVAC/ Plumbing, I suggest steering clear of Bell Brothers.Review fromTricia C

1 starThis company, from top to bottom, is TERRIBLE and has given my house, family, and me SO MANY PROBLEMS. We have been customers for over 20 years, and they have done routine checks on our system. Our old system was working perfectly fine. Last ******* **** Brothers came to do an annual check for our system. **** said they found a few things of concern so they sent out a sales rep. **** said our old system looked like it was starting to wear out and that we'd need a new system. The weather was warmer then, and they suggested we change it before the weather got cooler. We figured we should have it changed since our system was over 30 years old. **** changed it, and it worked fine last summer. Then, during winter, the heater stopped working. We called, and they sent a technician out, but after a couple hours the system would shut off again. This happened every single day for weeks. **** kept sending the same technician to check our system. We were so cold for so many days that we had to purchase portable heaters just to keep warm. HE even said he was tired of getting calls to go to our house. We kept asking them to send someone else, but they said he was the only one available. Finally, we told them that we'd wait however long until someone, ANYONE ELSE, was available. A new technician came out, and it turns out that it kept breaking down because the former technician installed the part BACKWARDS. The system works fine for a little while. Then, a loud whistling noise starts emanating from the system. System breaks down AGAIN. He says that it looks like a part needs to be replaced and that he'd send in an order. We ask when it will be available. He can't give us an estimate. they have the part and to expect someone to install it on a certain day. **** say they have no trucks available that day and that we'd have to wait until next week. Overall POOR SERVICE.Review fromAlberto O

1 starI hired Bell Brothers to service AC system in 2022, they service my system 3-4 times. I signed out for their contracted service. early this year tech came to service my house and write up a report that showed my air ducts being leaking and proposed replacing all the duct system I decided not to do this service I was thinking about getting a second opinion since the investment was over $5K. later in the year I scheduled another service for the system and this time tech tells my wife that the refrigerant is extremely low on my system but since my system is outdated they don't have the type of refrigerant that my systems needs he left my house without providing any other option. I decided to cancel the contract with them because why have a contract with a provider that can't service my system, when I called to cancel I was transferred to a supervisor to try and keep my business, he explained to me that the type of refrigerant that I needed is outdated and can be found at up $700 per lb, I asked him why I wasn't given that option when the tech came to service my system and decided to leave my AC at risk of stop working? he told me that that was something that he will need to explain to the tech and train him on how to handle a situation like that. That explanation did not seem to me like a very professional explanation and ended up canceling my contract for service. After that call I started searching for the Freon that supposedly my system needed and find it online, a can with 3 lbs for about about $120. I got really upset over the fact that the supervisor at Bell Brother did not give me truth facts. I hired another company to come and service my AC, a different problem was found that Coil Condenser had a stoppage. second company fixed my problem and when the test for system leakages was done I was told that my air ducts are in perfect condition I was told the test done on the ducts showed no leakage and air ducts are working like new. No Business to BB from me.Review fromAnita P

1 starWe were expecting a bill of less than $300 but had to spend $10,000+ to repair the mistakes of their technician. We needed to have a bathtub stopper replaced. Everything else was working fine. Within the first ten minutes the technician had broken a copper pipe with what he claimed was minimal force. The technician said ********* could not fix the broken pipe because ********* does not do that kind of work and he left. I had a contractor take a look and it was his opinion that the technician used excessive force. The contractor said standard practice should have been for the technician to come to the home owner and explain the situation and explain the options before forcing the pipe and breaking it. In order to fix **** **** mistake the tub had to be removed which required removing the tile around the tub and the first row of tiles on the floor. I have contacted ********* multiple times. To discuss their remedy for their expensive mistake. They asked for a copy of the contractors quote which I provided. They have not returned my contacts since them. I havent heard back from them in over a week.Review fromBruce P

1 starBell Brothers service people are very nice and professional. Unfortunately when it comes to selling Parts they are 5 to 6 times higher than normal retail parts. Beware that's where they make their moneyReview fromRon R

1 starLast year I had to replace the **** for my ***** sq ft single story rancher. Bell Brothers quoted me $30,000. I solicited other bids, all while Bell Brothers called me daily to pressure me to do the job, and they all came in around $15,000 - HALF of what Bell Brothers quoted me. My new **** is a year old and performing great. This past week I experienced a significant plumbing leak next to my house. I dug a hole to identify the problem - a leak in the main line leading from the meter at the street to my house. Because I pay $19.95 a month for ********* maintenance service I called them first. The technician had little to do as I had done all the labor and the problem was clear, but he said it was unfixable and they would have to run a new mainline all the way from the street AND re-pipe the house - at a total cost of $60,000. Then he smiled and ensured me "It's okay - we offer financing." I immediately called another plumbing service. The second plumber took one look at the leak and simply patched the pipe from where it was leaking to the house. It cost $1200 - TWO PERCENT of what the Bell Brothers job would have cost and took a few hours. The water is back on and we have no leaks. These Bell Brothers people are bandits and a cancer on honest working people. Do NOT pay them to work on your home EVER before you solicit additional bids. They don't rip you off by a little - they overbid these two jobs by $15,000 and $58,000. Many working people work for an entire year to make that. The next time you hear or see a Bell Brothers commercial you know now how they pay for them - on the backs of working people. Don't believe them - they may have background checks and clean shirts - but these people are con artists and criminals. They will financially **** you.Review fromMarilyn M

1 starI received a flyer from ********** for a reduced price on the summer HVAC maintenance where they promised. "Your AC won't break down this summer or your service is FREE!"I'm a new homeowner at an existing home that still has the original HVAC system and wanted to know of any potential concerns, so I made an appointment *** service technician, ******, arrived, along with a second person, no explanation why the second person was there? ***y did the check of my system and told me I had "What looked like a leak in the valve" and my R22, (freon), was low. ***y said they couldn't replace the valve because the system was too old. I was also told the freon level should have been between 8 & 15 and my system was at level 1.***y also explained that, due to new environmental regulations, they couldn't add more R22, freon. At that time the second person brings out a sales brochure and begins to discuss the cost of a new system. So, the mystery second person was a sales person and came with the sole purpose of selling me a new system. He also tried to push their maintenance program, explaining the overall benefits. I told them I'd think about it. At this point I was extremely concerned I had a system that was "on it's last leg" and would need to be replaced immediately, I decided to get a second opinion and got a referral from a neighbor for a company they've used and recommended. This company only services HVAC systems and doesn't sell anything or work on commission.Long story short, the second company checked my system and didn't find anything wrong. *** freon level was fine, there was no leak and the overall system checked out fine. I DO NOT recommend ********** and will not use them again in the future.
