      My home was slightly flooded. Star 1 MS *** was called that morning and showed up around 8 am to provide an estimate. ********************* was the contractor sent to my home. ************ told me to call my insurance and get a claim number. He then told me not to tell my insurance company the details of what happened and he would handle everything. He and another worker set up some heaters and left them at my house. They measured and took pictures. ************ then stated you dont see me carrying this machine upstairs, ** on workmans compensation injury for an ankle injury. Right then I knew I had a fraudulent company in my home. ************ came to my home on three other ****************** than 5 minutes. I asked him to take the equipment away and my husband wanted them gone. He told me everyone is on vacation for Thanksgiving and he has physical therapy so cant remove until the next week. He called me and told me how to shut them down and remove them. He then told me to hook them back up before they came to pick them up. I have documentation. In the meantime I was researching a reputable company to take over. I found one, told them to get their equipment. The other restoration company took the equipment out to the porch for me and the Sat 1 MS *** came and picked up their equipment. They then sent a fraudulent invoice to my home owners insurance saying they worked 10 days when they in fact did not. They tried to say I damaged their equipment which I did not and they then removed that charge. This company commits fraud and is threatening me they will take a lien on my home if I dont pay for the full amount of invoice. Problem is its not a true account of service. They are asking *******. I am willing to pay half which would be a true account for the time they really used equipment. They are also obligated by law to come to my home everyday. That did not happen.

      This complaint was filled on 1/24/24.  Star 1 MS spoke with the customer on 1/25/24, came to an agreement and the invoice was paid on 1/26/24.  We assured the customer that the unfortunate miscommunication was not at all intentional on anyones part.  The customer requested a discount and we adjusted the estimate accordingly.  The customer agreed to the amount and paid the invoice within 24 hours.  This issue has been resolved and we believe the customer received a satisfactory resolution.  Thanks
