  Scam, repeatedly prompting to upgrade throughout entire claim process and then upon checkout realize you were upgraded to a much higher package. The only solution is to clear and start over. When you click on "Contact us", there is no contact number or email address provided so they make it very difficult to actually speak to someone. I can only imagine how many others got upgraded and charged for the higher service. I will not be using this service going forward.

  TurboTax advertises free tax filing and then makes you spend an hour going through their service only to find out you have to pay $200 for a **** (literally everyone has these). Horrible deceptive marketing. tactics.

  TurboTax and Intuit are frauds and scammers. They sent me a false advertisement offering me 20% off to file my taxes that day. The button in the email that indicated it would add the discount did nothing. You had to call for the code AND instructions how to apply it which was essentially hidden on the page. Once you entered the code and the system said it approved it, it did not actually apply the discount. It charged your card without showing you the total so you don't know the discount wasn't applied until after you've paid. Then they have you fill out a form online that will be rejected when you call a second time because you still didn't the discount. They do all kinds of shady stuff like telling you their closed in the help chat when they're not and refuse to route your call to a person if it's for a complaint or billing question. You cannot event unsubscribe from their emails. You click on the unsubscribe and it says there was a technical problem and you could not be unsubscribed. Isn't there a law about requiring a company to let you unsubscribe? They set up the whole system to frustrate and discourage you from getting what they promised you and I will never use them again. I'm trying to get our two business off of Quickbooks because I do not trust them and I will not continue doing business with a company like that. Highly recommend you don't either!

  Deceptive practice!! I did not want Live but unlike new customers, returning customers dont have the option to decline. When I got ready to check out I was told the only way to remove it was to start over!!! Are you kidding?? Kind of forces you to pay the extra $ just so you dont have to start over. I called and was told only option was to start over. Asked to talk to a manager- was offered a 20% discount-nope. Demanded to speak to a manager- Finally after sitting on hold for 25 mins, the fee for the Live was removed. I have a job, this was a lot of time taken away from work to deal with this. Deceptive practice and then forcing someone to pay for a product they dont want and didnt use. I will not use the product again and Ive been a loyal customer for over 13 years.

  I want to let everyone know do not do any business with Turbo Tax (intuit) Please the fees are ridiculous, and they say money back guarantee, but they found a way to get and keep 273 dollars of my money. I am a single middle aged lady with only my income to live on and I would never give away that amount of money to any business for software I can get for almost free. I am so hurt right now Don't let companies like TurboTax to keep ripping honest tax payers off please!

  Their so called phone assistance person (who didn't know what he was talking about) made me pay my State taxes twice and they won't even refund the state tax refund amount I paid for then their services. NEVER USE TURBO TAX, THEY ARE A RIP OFF!

  They scam you into paying more money and a product you did not want. At the end you are paying more than you were quoted. They lead you to believe that you are getting the service you paid for and when all said and done charge you for things truly were told were included scammers.

  They charged me for the service regarding private contractors. I tried to call them saying it was for personal use. They then said there was no way to reverse the charges. Horrible

  I used it to file my taxes this year, my state refund came through just fine. Then my federal it said that it couldnt deposit. (My bank said due to my name being wrong) so I then get a check minus 30+ dollars for returned refund fee that they used to send me a check from the company they used to send the check. I am NEVER using TurboTax again Ive held off cashing my federal refund cause the check says that if I cash the check it is me agreeing with what is on the check. Calling their support turned into not hearing anything for 10 hours when they called me at 8pm and after an hour they had to talk to their supervisor and then silence for 20 minutes til I hung up. Use any other place.

  I had a terrible experience with turbo tax and Id like to warn others about their tricky pricing practices when you use the website for taxes. I was unfairly charged ****** without ever being shown upfront front pricing information. I entered my PayPal information and then IMMEDIATELY get a RECEIPT for ******! I had repeatedly throughout the tax process refused all the constant asking to add on services, and was trying to use their free service offered. I called immediately and followed their protocol but they refused my refund request even though I did not complete the filing of my taxes with them! I am currently disputing it through PayPal. They are using blatant pricing fraud in my opinion. BEWARE
