I had an extremely disappointing experience with the Bartending Training Institute in ***************. My visit lasted only a few minutes before I was asked to leave for politely sharing that I am non-binary and use they/them pronouns. The instructor repeatedly misgendered me, and when I clarified my pronouns, I was pulled aside and told, This is not the school for you. This treatment was discriminatory, unprofessional, and unacceptable.Instead of addressing the situation with respect and accountability, the businesss responses have been dismissive and riddled with personal attacks. They even claimed to have recorded my visit and threatened to post it online, which raises serious privacy concerns under Californias two-party consent law (California Penal Code 632). This behavior is not only unethical but also unprofessional.I would not recommend this school to anyone, especially LGBTQ+ individuals or those seeking a welcoming and inclusive environment. Their lack of respect, accountability, and professionalism is deeply concerning. Future students deserve better than this.
