We purchased two scooters last summer. After about 2 uses, we found a crack on one of the scooters (on the main stem). It's a folding scooter and it had to be turned a certain way to see the crack. I immediately contacted the company to return it under warranty but they refused telling me it was a human error on our part and that we broke the METAL STEM PIECE inside the folding compartment. They kept telling me that I should fix it. They did offer free part eventually foe me to fix it locally but ***** agreed to work on that. I expressed my concerns about safety of the scooter multiple times and did not want to fix it and have my MINOR CHILD keep riding it. The second scooter is for my mother and she said that she was fine keeping it. I however refuse to work on this scooter or ship it to them (in a very specific box that I supposed to find myself) as I don't trust the quality anymore. I don't understand how else the warranty supposed to work if the scooter clearly had a deffect and I am not comfortable having my child riding that scooter. I agreed to accept partial refund even and they just refuse to listen.Initial Complaint

I purchased a replacement battery from Turboant on February 21, 2025. The battery came with a six-month replacement warranty. On or around May 8, 2025, I notified Turboant that the battery had failed. I submitted all documentation requested by Turboant to demonstrate that the battery malfunction was not due to misuse or error on my part. As part of the warranty process, Turboant required me to purchase a Motor Controller, which I did. Though not part of this complaint, it is worth nothing that as of today, May 15, 2025, I still have not received the Motor Controller. On May 10, 2025, Turboant shipped the replacement battery, and ***** marked it as delivered to my home. Unfortunately, I never received the packageit appears to have been stolen from my front porch. I promptly contacted both ***** and Turboant. At Turboants request, I filed a claim with ***** and also filed a police report, which I have attached.Despite following all their instructions, I was notified today that Turboant will not be sending a replacement battery. I believe this is unacceptable. The battery was shipped without requiring a signature and without insurancedecisions made solely by Turboant. I never received or had possession of the battery. Only Turboant and ***** were in control of the package, yet the financial burden is now being placed on me, the customer. I would also like to note that the lack of insurance or signature confirmation on a high-value item such as this battery appears to contradict common best practices for shipping expensive merchandise. This oversight further underscores why the liability should not fall on ***** date, I have spent over $1,200 on Turboant products. As a loyal customer, I expected the company to stand behind its warranty and take appropriate responsibility for the safe delivery of replacement products. I am requesting a full replacement of the battery, in accordance with their warranty and standard business practices.Initial Complaint

Bought a replacement part from TurboAnt which included the shipping cost. The order shipped on March 27, 2025. The part cost $25 and the shipping cost $15. The order has still not been received to date and the period to receive the shipment has gone past the represented date by the business. I therefore requested TurboAnt to make good on their shipping representation and to refund the shipping cost, and they have refused to date. No delivery attempt has been made which the shipper confirmed when I called them.Initial Complaint

I purchased a Turboant X7 ************ scooter in December of 2020 for my wife's Christmas present. She subsequently had knee replacement surgery in January and the scooter was put into storage until earlier this year.Once removed from storage, I was unable to charge the battery and Turboant determined the battery was not useable.Apparently this scooter was manufactured with two different types of batteries and the one on this scooter was no longer available. Turboants response:"Unfortunately, we're sorry to tell you that the round connector battery doesn't have stock anymore because the manufacturer no longer produces round version batteries. If your scooter battery is the round connector, you may need to replace it with the blade connector as well as the corresponding controller and LED display. We kindly advise that if you have owned your scooter for more than 3 years, it means that you have used it for a long time, so the life of the scooter might not be too long due to the bad function of the internal motor, controller, battery, and other accessories might also have an impact on the following use. In your case, we recommend that you replace it with a brand-new scooter, which would be a better option and more cost-effective for you. Of course, this is up to you.Link for brand-new X7 ********************************************************************************* "The cost of this replacement scooter is $440 and they offered a mere $10 "discount". The cost of a replacement "blade" battery is approximately $200.I do not feel that the consumer should bear the cost of a manufacturing issue (round battery) as this scooter was virtually brand new. While I understand batteries don't last forever, I would pay a portion of the cost for the replacement, but not in excess of what a replacement battery would have cost otherwise.I offered this proposal to Turboant and it was declined.Initial Complaint

On TurboAnts website, they claim the X7 *** that I bought had a range of *************************** 77 degree weather, rider was 165 pounds, and on a flat surface.I tested the scooter in 51 degree weather, I'm 180 pounds, and it was tested on mostly flat surfaces. Since it was colder and I'm a little heavier, I'd expect the total range to be around 25 miles. *** I tested it twice and got nowhere near their claimed range. Once with the headlight on, and once with the headlight off.On my first test, I was only able to get 8 miles on a full charge. On my 2nd test, I was only able to get 10 miles on a full charge.Since I was only able to get 25 to 32 percent of their tested range, I want to send the scooter back for a refund since it's false advertising to lie about the range. I've been emailing them for a week and they just keep giving me the runaround.I want to ship it back for a refund, no other settlement will doInitial Complaint

I purchased a x7 max ******* in July 2023. In August I needed to replace the throttle and the bolts used to secure the ******* did not come out. Professionals couldnt take them out. The bolts became balded I requested help and as of now I was sent new bolts but the company wont reimburse me. They offered to send me a label to ship the ******* to them however they wanted me to pay for the box and to use the same box it came in. If I didnt have it, I would need to buy a bigger box and cut it to avoid an extra fee. They made an inferior product and Ive been to mechanics and handymen and nothing takes out the bolt. They wont let me ship it back and wont replace it. I would like my money back.Initial Complaint

Initial purchase of 2 electric scooters for the amount of $800.00 in April 2021. We reported an issue to the company back in May 2021 after receiving the equipments. They would shut off on it’s on while driving them or speed very slowly. We never received a response from the company. We tried follow up and no response. Back in October of 2022 we reached out again because the equipments were going the same but worst because it happened while driving in a busy street. We called and emailed and the only solution was a battery replacement but we had to buy all other parts totaling to over $60.00. They claim we reach them past the warranty time but we had made initial contact back in May 2021 after a month purchase when no response. we install all equipment received for 1 scooter only and it didn’t work, we sent videos , pictures and they made us purchase another parts because the ones purchase were burned. We spent another $20.00. By this time the other scooter was giving issue and my husband while driving on a busy street the scooter turns off and he falls from the scooter and scrapped his hand and arm. We reported the incident to them and all they said was we can do anything , take it to a scooter shop. We received the new part we bought for the other scooter and when Installing according to their videos , the scooter sparked fire while installing the battery and smoke started coming out. The house smelled like burned plastic. We emailed them and sent video and they have responded with there is nothing we can do. The only solution again is sending it to a shop , pay for shipping to send it to us or we can send you a free part. We are not proceeding with their offer since we’ve sent extra money, time and bodily injuries and they don’t wan to either partly reimburse or fully reimburse us. We have videos send to them but we can’t upload.Initial Complaint

A year ago I bought 2 Turboant X7s. I’ve had nothing but issues since the day I bought them. I finally got them working (for a little while). I had initially contacted the company the first time I had an issue with no resolution. I now understand why there is a “no return” policy. Once you buy one they say “haha, ******” once you start having issues. One year after purchase my scooter is “overheating” continuously. If I ride it for 10 minutes in 60 degree weather it over heats. If I ride it for 5 minutes in 80 degree weather it over heats. I’ve seen many complaints about this company. After spending over $1000 on scooters you would figure that this million dollar company would make things right and replace the scooter I’ve had issues with since day 1. The scooter that I’ve contacted them about SEVERAL times with no solution except “Here’s a coupon to buy a different $1000 product of ours.” If this one doesn’t work why would I take the chance to spend another $1000 on a new one. I should have listened to the reviews that said that this product was defective but I gave Turboant the benefit of the doubt. I’m sadly disappointed. I’ll gladly return this scooter for a new one. Maybe then they can do some research and figure out why their products continue to fail. The amount of money these scooters cost is not CHEAP and you’d figure they’d do the right thing and keep a loyal customer. This doesn’t seem to be the case.Initial Complaint

I ordered a scooter from Turboant. Order number for the original purchase. ******** The battery would not start the scooter and it is still under warranty. I contacted customer service but they said I needed to have the battery tested with a “multimeter/voltmeter” so I took the battery to Home Depot to have it tested. Home Depot said the battery was not working properly and I took pictures at Home Depot and sent the pictures to Turboant of Home Depot testing the battery. Customer service with Turboant would not send me a replacement battery so I bought a new one( order number *********) The battery charged and then I attached it to the scooter. After riding for 5-10 minutes I could smell something burning coming from the battery. I detached the battery and it was melting where the battery attaches to the 3 prongs of the scooter as well as one of the prongs melting from the heat being so high. It is a safety concern as I am afraid to charge the battery again as I’m scared it may start on fire in my apartment. I contacted customer service again to tell them about the melting of the battery. They are telling me to test the battery again with a multimeter/voltmeter.Initial Complaint

Scooter purchased in January 2023. Within 3 weeks it would turn on but not move. Following is an email sent to their customer service team on May 6, 2023, upon returning to Los Angeles. I travelled to Atlanta to deal with a return of a scooter purchased for my college freshman which stopped working after 3 weeks. Since January we have been in communication with various customer service agents via phone and email. We have submitted videos and responded to a variety of emails in the hopes of getting this issue resolved. Turboant's customer service team was not only difficult to deal with, but honestly, hard to understand in written or verbal form due to their lack of English proficiency and knowledge of packaging and delivery protocols.
I ended up leaving the scooter upon the 5th try to get it sent back to you. The amount of time and money invested in trying to resolve the issue is substantial . I flew out from California to Atlanta in order to deal with the scooter. Never, in the MONTHS that we were dealing with a scooter and the fact that it only worked for a few weeks, did ANY of the countless conversations and emails I had with Turboant reference that the scooter could be picked up by FEDEX and sent back to you. NEVER was if communicated to me that that was actually the preferred way of dealing with this type of item. As a matter of fact, it was reiterated to me at every turn by Turboant that my son (whose a freshman at a college in Georgia with no transportation ) had to pack up the scooter and take it to a FEDEX office. In addition, NEVER did we have a discussion about the item’s DG (Dangerous Goods) classification as a hindrance to getting it shipped out. Furthermore, NEVER did I get a return label that had the proper DG label on it, which was another reason FEDEX would not even accept the item. I went to 5 different Fedex’s all over Georgia. They would not receive the item.
After months of dealing with this issue with Turbant's customer service team (which comprises a ambiguous "*****" on email and a "*******" on the phones, countless emails, several videos, a $1,000 trip to Atlanta and 2 days of going from FedEx office, to FedEx hub, to FedEx headquarters in Georgia, I had to leave the scooter on the side of the road. I am a criminal law attorney who does not get too emotional about many things. However, when I got out on the side of a Georgia road to abandon a barely used gift we purchased for our college bound son, after having left my many obligations in CA and spent the time and money to fly to Atlanta to deal with the return of this item and with the looming threat of missing my flight back to Los Angeles, I was in tears.
I would like a full refund of this item. It is the least Turboant can do for this debacle. In essence, they will not incur the shipping or repair costs for the return of this defective scooter, which they already had agreed to repair under warranty (only because we were so insistent despite their numerous attempts to exhaust us or move it past the warranty period by asking for video after video), so the refund on our purchase price would be largely offset.
I have all the emails and videos.
