Gofundme is amazing. BUT, what you are allowing on your platform is just astonishing. There are plenty of these campaigns but I would like to call out one of them. This campaign is run by a third party named ***** because the person whom this campaign is for is named ************************* and he is serving 180 days in the LV jail. ***** created a GOfundme or **** and you can see the ** channel heres the deal. He is taking money from others and you clearly state that it is not allowed through third party. I am shocked that the campaigns are still up for DELETE LAWZ ************************* CHILLIE You should also know that he files frivolous lawsuits with the money raised and just harasses people and especially police officers. This man has filed so many lawsuits and never won one of them. This campaign is helping him harass innocent people and causing havock. PLEASE do something about it. Take a close look and since there are many channels talking about this we dont want gofundme to get a bad name over this either because we have donated to many campaigns on gofundme as a university. A GoFundMe account was created for me due to my financial situation. The account was going well when suddenly it disappeared, and I did not receive all the money that was sent to the account. For the second time GoFundMe has paused my account. Last time I filed a report, I proved my identity and banking information. This time they paused it over the person donating to me. I honestly after going back and forth believe it to be discrimination against me because of my faith and the persons faith who donated. Because we proclaim christianity My account has been blocked in frozen for over a week. I keep getting told that they are resolving it and nothing has been done. My complaint is related to transferring funds from go fund me to my bank account. My friend *********************** set up a fundraiser for my cancer treatment at ******************* in ******* in February 2024. My husband has spent weeks trying to get the funds transferred to our bank account. He has followed all the instructions that have been provided by the Chatbot. However, when he submitted a voided check from our bank account, it was rejected. We have many expenses here in *******, And it is a problem that we are unable to access the funds that are friends and family members raised to support us here. When donors go on the fundraiser page to make a donation, GoFundMe automatically presets the tip amount. For someone who does not pay attention closely or someone who is unaware, or someone who's reading skills are limited they end up paying a tip without their consent. Even if they do have the option to set the tip to 0, its still dishonest and fraudulent. I am advocating for the tip donation to be preset to 0. Pre-setting the tip to any amount other than 0 is a sneaky and underhanded way to collect money for the platform. The tipping amount on the platform should be pre-set to 0. This is my desired solution. I have reached out to GoFundMe regarding this matter and have not received a solution. The responses I have received:-We offer the option of tipping because it's important to us that everyone is able to use our service, which is why there is no cost to create a fundraiser. Instead, we accept optional tips from donors to help us operate our platform. Before completing a donation, there is an option to change the amount or make it 0. If you donate in the future you can select Enter custom tip and then enter 0 to avoid leaving any optional tip.- Also, I would like to let you know that this is a product feature, we won't be able to help you with this. April 2nd I received an email reply for my request on March 26th requesting a PDF/letter of my transactions through GoFundMe. I was denied my request. If I do business with an entity I want to be provided with both customer service and transparency. My donations did not go into a black hole. On March 28th, 2024, I started a GoFundMe fundraiser campaign to help cover the cost of a program tour I am wanting to go on in May. I clearly outlined what the costs would cover and where. On March 31st, and after already having raised some funds I was surprised to get an email from GoFundMe support team saying that my fundraiser was under review as they needed to collect more information, because my fundraiser has something to do with "***************". First of all This is very blatant discrimination. You cannot just pause a fundraiser because it has something to do with ***************, especially when all information has clearly been outlined in the fundraiser description. The tour I am going on is in ********* with a ** based company and all information is clear. Second of all, I immediately sent them all the required information, however they have yet to respond to me, and are causing me harm, as I need the raised funds to make a deposit for the program. If they're going to selectively discriminate with their fundraisers they should not be running this website. I started a go fund me account and it raised $1075 from three donators. They were all three anonymous and go family refunded the money because they said it was a fraudulent go fund me. I sent proof of my cancer and they reinstated my go fund me, but had already refunded the donations up over $1000 they were for my cancer treatment and to me they stole that money.
