Dear Sunpower Legal & Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally demand immediate resolution regarding the reimbursement owed to me for non-production in 2023. Despite multiple complaints and direct communication with both your company and the servicing entity that took over, I have yet to receive any response or payment.
I have upheld my end of the agreement by continuing to make payments, yet I have received no service in return. This is a clear breach of contract and an unacceptable business practice. Given the ongoing lack of communication and failure to fulfill the agreed-upon reimbursement, I am left with no choice but to escalate this matter legally.
If I do not receive the full amount owed to me along with confirmation of service cancellation within 60 Days, I will be forced to take legal action, including but not limited to:
- Filing a formal complaint with the ******** ********* ****** *** *** ******** ********** ******.
- Pursuing legal remedies to recover funds and damages resulting from your company’s breach.
- Reporting this issue to relevant regulatory authorities overseeing solar energy contracts.
This is my final attempt to resolve this matter amicably. I expect an immediate response with confirmation of my reimbursement and service termination. Failure to comply will result in legal action without further notice.

The system was installed in Feb. 2022. Ran fine till last year. I contacted the company telling them I needed a roof replacement. They refereed me to 1 of Their installers. That company temporarily removed the panels for the roof replacement. When they replaced it ( Last July ) the system failed to work. When I told that Sunpower / ****** referred company that it wasn't working they told me that squirrels had damaged the wiring and I should report that to SunPower. In September 2015, I entered into a lease with Sunpower for my residential solar system. The contract states that Sunpower will repair and maintain my system at no cost to me during the period of the lease so long as I am a customer in good standing. I have been and am currently a customer in good standing. Currently, Sunpower deducts over $95 monthly from my checking account. Months ago, I received notice that my system has not been producing energy since at least July 2024. I repeatedly tried calling Sunpower but my call was never answered. I tried to chat online at their website but the chat function was inoperable. I have emailed Sunpower at their support address on several occasions over a period of months, the last being sent in December 2024, and have only received an automated reply with a trouble ticket number (*******). Months have passed and I have yet to receive any reply, assistance or effort to repair and conform to the lease. My monthly utility bill has increased substantially due to the solar system not working. Sunpower continues to deduct money from my checking account for a broken system but will not respond to repeated requests for assistance, cannot or refuses to repair the solar system and therefore is in violation of a lawful lease contract.Initial Complaint

I purchased a SunPower solar system with battery in November 2021 for $41,000. It was sold with a 25 year warranty on everything but the battery, and the battery has a 10 year warranty.
My battery has stopped working entirely and won't communicate with the rest of the system. The app no longer works so I can't even tell if the system is functioning at all. I've requested help but have received no reply.
I want SunPower to repair or replace the battery, and mini's that, I want them to refund me for the system. I have not received what I paid for.Initial Complaint

We are leasing customers of SunPower Solar, and our system has been non-functional since June 2024. Despite numerous chats, emails, and phone calls, we’ve been repeatedly told to “sit tight” due to the company’s bankruptcy filing until a new service provider is secured. Communication is only initiated by us, and we receive the same response each time: payments are due, and we must wait for a contractor service agreement to be arranged. I am writing in regards to SunPower ********* in ***********. I purchased solar panels in June of 2021. The company stated that I would save money with the new solar panels purchased. The purchase price was $18,000.00. My payment is currently $90.00 monthly. When looking over my Eversource Bill I noticed I am actually paying more for electricity. Therefore I have not saved nothing or nearly nothing to date for which I was told I would. I reached out to SunPower and they sent a maintenance group a few months later. There was also a language barrier between the maintenance group but they concluded the solar was working. I would like the remainder of the balance from SunPower to be extinguished as I have stated I am not saving any money with the solar panels. I had offered the ************** that has assumed the responsibility due to no contact from SunPower Solar $1000.00 cash to eradicate the situation. This ************** has stated they will not remove the solar panels, and I am still responsible for the balance. I don't feel as though I should continue paying for a service that I am losing money with. We have had SunPower solar panels on our house for the last 7 years. In late fall 2024, we noticed water damange on our great room ceiling. The leak is directly under one of our solar panels and the roofer who inspected the leak said there no other damage to the roof would cause leakage.
SunPower recently declared bankruptcy. Weve tried emailing them, calling them, submitting "contact us" forms and what we have encountered is this - the customer service phone number * ************** - continually shows "User Busy". Their customer service email - **************************** - is undeliverable. Both of these are listed on their current company website, in the contact us section. The only responses we have received are from their sales team (which was immediate), but they just directed us to the two contact sources listed above.
We just want our stuff repaired, but they are providing no opportunity to do so. Non-payment would void our warranty and would be unethical. We have never missed a payment or if it was late, we paid the penalty in full. We just want to know if there are any other options we have.Initial Complaint

System has not been generating the amount of electricity compared to last year...called but was hung up multiple times
