Went through the ceramic quick quack car was and the car wash scratched my car in several places and tore the lining part of my hood off.Business Response

Hello ******,
We value our customers; however, we have clear protocols when it comes to incidents to protect both the customer and our business. At all stores, there are signs posted as the customer approaches the entrance of the wash letting them know what Quick Quack will not be responsible for, should they decide to proceed through the wash. This includes power antennas, damaged parts, aftermarket parts, or car parts on vehicles five years and older. Unfortunately, we will not cover any damage to your vehicle as there was no equipment malfunction and the damages shown is not possible from our equipment as our wraps face a completely different direction than the scratches on you vehicle. There was no equipment malfunction and Quick Quack washed hundreds of vehicles before and after yours without incident. It is our policy to make whole any damage caused directly by our equipment or Team Member negligence, which neither is the case here. We apologize for any frustration you have experienced and hope to better serve you in the future.Initial Complaint

The employee who signed me up at the car wash station did not disclose to me the company's policies or conditions of service when I pulled up the line. The employee just took my credit card and asked me which grade of car wash I wanted. Additionally, the car washes damaged my vehicles with scratches, ineffective washing and drying. In fact, my cars were never washed or dried well after each wash. I find multiple scratches and damages on my cars. Additionally, there were still soaps and dirty water on my cars, especially at the side mirrors and the back areas of the cars. The worst thing is that the car wash scratched my cars badly and broke the mirror on my 2022 Lexus RX 350. I did not notice the damage until later.I notified the employee at the car wash station at least on one separate occasion in person that I am not happy with the car wash and that I want to cancel service. It did not appear to me that the employee cared about I was saying. I also notified the company by phone to cancel my membership effective April 30, 2024. I do not understand why they charged my credit card again on May 1, 2024. I am requesting a refund of the charge for $51.99 on my credit card. This charge was made without my permission. I was never told of the automatic monthly charge when I was in the line and signed up. I do not want to use the car wash again because it damaged both my cars. My cars are not that old, a 2021 ************************* Hybrid and a 2022 Lexus RX350. I am not happy.Business Response

Hello ********* apologize that you have had an unsatisfactory experience.
We are committed to always doing everything possible to ensure the safety of every vehicle that travels through our wash. Quick Quack Car Washs systems are brushless and utilize a combination of soft-cloth and neoprene foam (scuba suit material) in order to be safer on your cars finish. We wash hundreds of vehicles each day without incident, but in the rare case of damage, we always thoroughly investigate each claim and work with our customer for a resolution. If you ever suspect damage, please return to the location and file a claim so our team can investigate this for you.
In order to create a membership, every customer must provide payment, their email address, and sign the terms and conditions, including our cancellation instructions and policies. We also immediately send a welcome email with the renewal date, the renewal price, and a link to these terms for reference. These terms are available for viewing on our website. We do everything possible to be clear with our customers regarding our policies.
As it states in the terms and conditions: "5.2 You can cancel Services (including removing a vehicle from a Flock Pricing plan) at any time. When you cancel, you are solely responsible for properly canceling the Services. You may cancel the Services by giving notice at least ten (10) days prior to the renewal date of your Services by email at *********************** or by phone at ************."
As a point of clarification. Your BBB complaint states that you cancelled on April 30th by phone. However, our system shows that you contacted us on May 1st at 4:58:28 PM after your monthly payment had already been processed via our online request form. We do not have any record of a phone call or other contact on April 30th.
Our customer care team responded confirming they received your request on May 4th and informed you that they had cancelled your account and you would continue to have access to the wash until June 1st. Unfortunately because the account was not cancelled in the agreed upon timeframe the account would not be eligible for a refund. We apologize for any frustration and hope to better serve you in the future.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Subject: Rejection of Response Demand for Refund
Dear **************** Representative,
I am formally rejecting your response regarding my complaint. Your account of the situation is incorrect, and I stand firm in my demand for a refund of the unauthorized charge of $51.99 on May 1, 2024.
On multiple occasions, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the quality of service, including the damage to my vehicles and the ineffective washing and drying process. The car wash caused scratches, left residual soap and dirty water, and even broke the mirror on my 2022 ***** RX 350. I spoke to an employee in person at your location on Sunrise Blvd. to cancel my membership. If your employee failed to properly document my cancellation request, that is a failure on your companys part, not mine. Additionally, I contacted your company via phone to confirm my cancellation, making it clear that I did not wish to continue the service beyond April 30, 2024.
Despite my explicit instructions, you charged my credit card again on May 1, 2024, without my authorization. At no point was I informed of an automatic monthly charge when I initially signed up. This charge was processed without my consent and should be refunded immediately.
I expect prompt action on this matter. If my refund is not processed immediately, I will escalate this issue further, including reporting the unauthorized charge to my bank and pursuing other necessary avenues to rectify this situation.
Please confirm the refund and ensure that no further charges are made to my account.
Sincerely,King Jaja, Ph.D.

Hello King we apologize for any frustration and we apologize that this is not the solution you desired; however, as we have previously explained, in order to create a membership, every customer must provide payment, their email address, and sign the terms and conditions, including our cancellation instructions and policies. We also immediately send a welcome email with the renewal date, the renewal price, and a link to these terms for reference. These terms are available for viewing on our website. We do everything possible to be clear with our customers regarding our policies.

When you cancel, you are solely responsible for properly canceling the Services. You may cancel the Services by giving notice at least ten (10) days prior to the renewal date of your Services by email at ***************************************** or by phone at ************."
As our previous reply states, you contacted our customer care for the first time on May 1st at 4:58:28 PM through the online contact us form. Our system records every call and email that is submitted to customer care and there is no record of any attempt to cancel this account prior to May 1st at 4:58:28 PM.
May 1st is the date of your renewal, which means the account was not cancelled at least ten (10) days prior to the renewal date as the terms and conditions state. Because the account was not cancelled in the proper timeframe this account is not eligible for a refund. You still have access to the wash until June 1st as our customer care explained in your cancellation confirmation email. We wish you the best.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Subject: Final Rejection of Response Strong Objection to Unfair Practices
Dear Quick Quack Car Wash Representative,
I am formally rejecting your response regarding my complaint. Your repeated explanations fail to address the fundamental issues with your business practices, and I refuse to engage in further discussions on the matter.
I stand firm in my strong objection to your unfair business practices, including deceptive automatic renewals and inadequate service quality. My previous requests for cancellation were disregarded, and the subsequent charge to my account was unauthorized. Furthermore, the damage to my vehicle and the substandard washing process reinforce my complete dissatisfaction with your service.
I will never return to your establishmenteven if services were offered for free. My stance remains unchanged: I demand a full refund for the unauthorized charge of $51.99 processed on May 1, 2024.
Since no resolution has been reached, I will leave the matter as isunresolved. However, I will make sure my family, friends, and acquaintances are fully aware of the unfair treatment I received, so they can make informed decisions about where to take their business.Sincerely,
King ***** Ph.D.

On 4/22/2024 I used the carwash at the Quick Quack ******* Rd. location (***************************************** / **************). During the wash, the drivers side mirror was damaged which appeared to be due to an equipment malfunction of one of the roller brush units. I filed a written report with "******. I was advised that I would be contacted within 72 hours for resolution. On 4/27/2024 I contacted **************** to follow up on my ticket as no one had contacted me yet. I was advised that they cannot HELP, but they can only escalate incidents. I was told that "*****" at the *****************. location would be notified of the incident and to WAIT and expect to be contacted by 4/30/2024, however, no one contacted me. I called **************** again (Macalah) on 5/1/2024 and was advised the same thing, they cannot HELP, but they can only escalate incidents. This time I wasnt even given a timeline or a contact name from the location. I feel that I am getting dismissed and Quick Quack has no intention of reconciling my issue and repairing the damage to the side mirror.Business Response

Hello **** **** - We are sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience and disagree with the outcome of your claim. The decision on this claim was communicated to you in person on 4/22/24, the date of the incident. As our signage at the entrance of the car wash states, We are only responsible for items that are factory-installed, secured, undamaged, and on vehicles that are less than five years old. This claim was denied because the vehicle is over 5 years old which may have been the leading cause as to why this incident occurred. Over time, through normal wear and tear, parts become less secure and are more easily removed. Nothing malfunctioned during your wash to cause this incident so unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for this incident since it does fall in line with incidents that can occur with the age of the vehicle and is advised by our signage before you enter the wash. We apologize for any frustration you have experienced and wish you the best.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because I do not accept that the equipment did not malfunction, and also because the business lacked the respect to respond promptly and with courtesy to my repeated attempts at contacting them to discuss and resolve this matter. The business only finally provided a delayed and unacceptable response after submitting this complaint to the BBB. The replacement part for my car only only cost $33.12 which I purchased and installed myself. My monthly membership subscription was in the amount of $21.99/month which was cancelled due to the incident and lack of response and disrespect from the business. The business chose to dismiss $263.88/year and referrals to friends and family instead of providing appropriate levels of customer service, quality care, and genuine concern.Initial Complaint

On April 6, 2024 I was offered a special 50% off discount for a 30-day unlimited car wash membership while in person at this car wash and told I can cancel anytime. I made the purchase for $17.99 but the sales person did not mention an additional $5.00 cancellation fee for cancelling with 45-days nor that you have to provide the request 10-days before renewal date. I created an account on their site and it allows one to make various changes to their account, like upgrade/down grade membership and add or remove vehicles, but they do not have any options to cancel. They require one to send an email or call their hotline during business hours. They should add a cancellation feature on their website and do away with a cancellation fee that is not verbally disclosed at time of purchase.Business Response

We purchased the ceramic duck (highest costing) membership a little over a year ago for our brand new car. We dont live super close to any of the locations but used it as often as possible. They were never what I considered a great wash but with 6 children and a busy schedule it made the most sense. After using the wash one day my husband noticed a scratch/damage to one of our rear wheel and tire. I immediately contacted the customer service team and they told me to go to the location where the damage occurred and they would take an incident report and fix the damage, Im sure you can guess what theyre response was! Needless to say we canceled the membership and will never use or recommend the Quick Quack corporation. Shame on us for not doing our due diligence and checking this website prior to giving them a years worth of our business and money! Buyer beware it seems like a more common problem than not and they have zero interest in retaining customers or being accountable for their mistakes!Business Response

We're truly sorry to hear about the damage you mentioned and understand how frustrating that must be. However, after reviewing our records, we do not have any claims for this customer name or description and are not aware of your situation.
Because this incident occurred over a year ago, were unfortunately unable to conduct an investigation at this point. In situations like this, we recommend contacting your vehicle insurance provider, who may be better equipped to assist with resolution.
At Quick Quack, we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure the safety of every vehicle that travels through our wash. We wash hundreds of vehicles each day without issue, but in the rare case of damage, we take every claim seriously and conduct a thorough investigation to determine what may have happened.
To help us best support our customers, we strongly encourage anyone who suspects damage to immediately notify our onsite staff and file a claim at the time of the visit. This allows us to review footage, inspect equipment, and gather relevant information in a timely manner.
For transparency, our damage claim policy is posted in multiple locations at each of our facilities, including at the wash entrance. As stated, we are only responsible for items that are factory-installed, properly secured, undamaged, and on vehicles less than five years old. Antennas should be removed or retracted prior to entering the wash.Even with these guidelines in place, we always aim to work with every customer fairly and respectfully.

If the claim was filed under a different name/contact info we can research that for you. Every incident claim is provided a copy of the incident complaint form. If you have this form you can send it to us directly at ****************************** and we will be happy to have the current store leader look through their location's records to try and locate it to provide you with further information.
Unfortunately, without a claim, we cannot address this concern. We apologize for any frustration this has caused you.

My grievence is about damage to my 2016 ***** Civic Touring, recently bought at Carmax, a car that did not have a scratch on it until the morning of damage. On Friday morning, 4/12/2024, I was one of the first cars that went through the Quick Quack car wash located at **************************************************, not my normal one which is in ************ at ******************** When I got home I noticed a gash on my passanger front door, a wide gash that cut to the metal with another scratch under it and a 3rd scratch on the door behind it on the same side. I immediately called customer support and was told to head back to the location in ****** to fill out an accident report. I returned and filled out the report and recieved a receipt. The attendant on duty warned me his boss rarely covered damage to older cars (beyond five years) which is there usual policy. In additon, the attendant at the Quick Quack that caused the damage, when I had brought the car back said that the car wash had been recalibrated the day before to run faster, and I was not the only one from that morning that had complained of damage. When I first signed up for the service months before, I expressed concern that the carwash was not touchless and at that time was told that Quick Quack would cover damage to cars that were in excellent condition like mine. That if cameras at site saw the condition of the car and damage could be proven, it would be considered. This was reiterated by the first customer service agent I called on the day of damage, that if the store manager would not replace, it would be reviewed by the main office.I have called Quick Quacks customer service line three times asking if the main office had reviewed the damage, the footage, and indeed had the machine recalibrated to run faster. I have been told they would respond back with a phone call and in person but have heard nothing back.I feel that because of the condition of the car, the recalibration, and the extent of the damagBusiness Response

Hello ***** - we apologize that you had an unsatisfactory experience and disagree with the outcome of your claim. This claim was denied for a few reasons including that the damage was not consistent with damage that would be caused by the wraps. At Quick Quack, we use the latest technology and a brushless system utilizing a combination of soft-cloth and neoprene foam (scuba suit material) in order to be safer on your cars finish. In the rare case that wraps in the wash were to damage a vehicle, the pattern of damage would be expected to follow very specific patterns matching the motion and action of the equipment used. In the rare case of damage, it would not appear as a single scratch in a single area. Due to the rotation of our wraps it would appear as short repeating linear marks along the full length of the vehicle along the path of the wrap. Unfortunately, the damage on your vehicle was not consistent with how our wraps move along the vehicle. In addition to this, the vehicle is over 5 years old. As our signage at the entrance of the car wash states, We are only responsible for items that are factory-installed, secured, undamaged, and on vehicles that are less than five years old. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for this claim as the damage is inconsistent with what could have been caused by the wash. First things first, my issue happened at the ******** location not the one in *******. The ******** location was not an option on the list. The address for that is *****************************************************************. I went into this car wash and the car wash malfunctioned while I was inside. The machines completely stopped and the spinning cleaners with nylon strands stopped on top of my hood and sides and then it would restart after a couple minutes. This happened quite a few times while I was inside of the car wash. I finally got done with the wash and went straight home to come out and find that my hood was all scratched up, see pictures. I went back down to the car wash and filed an incident report. The manager failed to follow up with me so I went down there the next day to talk with him where he said there is no way that the car wash caused the damage to my vehicle. I continued to try and email him and he refuses to acknowledge the fact that my car is damaged by their machines. I uploaded a copy of my Incident report and the number for that report is ******. Thank you for your time, it is greatly appreciated.Business Response

Hello ******* - We are sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience and disagree with the outcome of your claim, but as we explained, the marks on your vehicle are not consistent with anything that could have been caused by our wraps. As you can see in the photos you provided with this complaint, the damage on the hood moves horizonal (left to right). Nothing inside our wash touches your vehicle horizontally in that area of the vehicle - the only wrap that comes into contact with the hood of your vehicle is our top wrap which spins vertically from the front of the car to the back. It is not physically possible for our equipment to cause a horizontal pattern on this area of your vehicle.
In the rare case of damage, it would appear as short repeating linear marks along the full length of the vehicle along the path of the wrap.Unfortunately, the damage on your vehicle was not consistent with how our wraps move along the vehicle and therefore could not be caused by the wash. We apologize for any frustration, but we cannot accept responsibility for damage that was not caused by the wash.

Hello ******* - we apologize for any frustration you have experienced. To clarify, there were no other vehicles involved in this incident or any other vehicles who reported similar damages on the date of your visit.
Our carwash washes several hundred cars every day without damage. A windshield will only crack if it is hit during a malfunction, or it has a rock chip, pit, or weak point. The crack will travel through this weak point when the windshield experiences a temperature difference. There was no malfunction during the wash, and nothing came into contact with your windshield to cause this crack meaning this was caused due to a weak point in your windshield.
Pits are caused by debris such as rocks, pebbles, sand, and other foreign matter kicked up by vehicles in front of you. The pit damage that occurs often is not directly visible from the driver's seat because it is near the edge of the windshield or near the passenger's side. This pit usually penetrates only the exterior pane of glass. If this damage is not repaired, it can spread into a crack. The time between initial impact and a large crack can sometimes be as little as one day to as long as several months. Day-to-day driving can increase the stress around the pit hole.
However, the majority of these cracks are caused by temperature extremes, such as washing a vehicle with a stressed point on a hot day. We are truly sorry for the experience you had here. Please note, though, that we can't be responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions. We hope that you give us an opportunity to earn back your business.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I just saw there response, blaming me for the crack in my windshield on my car that was brand new and had no chips or crack in it before. I saw and heard something fly up and hit my windshield at the beginning of the car wash. Right when you put your car in neutral and it start is when something flew up from the bottom of the car wash and hit my windshield and i watched it crack the water had not even gone on my car yet. Hello ******* - we apologize for any frustration you have experienced and we understand this is not the outcome you desired.
However, as we previously explained, the footage shows that there was no malfunction during your wash to cause or contribute to this incident. Nothing can be seeing flying into or making contact with your windshield. This would mean that this was caused due to a weak point in your windshield. Unfortunatley, due to these facts we cannot accept responsibility for damage that was not caused by the wash.

I am rejecting this response because:
my car was brand new and had no crack or dents on my windshield i physically watched something fly up and hit my windshield before it even hit the water it was at the very beginning before i even went in something flew up from your machine and hit my windshield and i watched the crack spread instantly right after watching and hearing something hit my windshield the whole thing cracked. I could understand if it happened once the water hit it, but this occurred because something flew out of your machine and hit my windshield and cracked the entire thing. For you to even say its my fault is ridiculous and horrible customer service. I know mine isnt the only complaint you need to fix your machine to where its not breaking peoples cars or take responsibility and pay to fix the part that was broken because of your faulty machine. Thanks. I wont accept that your not liable because you are just as anyone else would be held liable for breaking a part on my car.

We are sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience and disagree with the outcome of your claim, but as we explained, the marks on your vehicle are not consistent with anything that could have been caused by our wraps. The damage claimed is circular and nothing in the wash touches your vehicle in a circular pattern therefore it is not possible to create this type of damage inside the wash. In the rare case of damage, it would appear as short repeating linear marks along the full length of the vehicle along the path of the wrap. Unfortunately, the damage on your vehicle was not consistent with how our wraps move along the vehicle. We apologize for any frustration, but we cannot accept responsibility for damage that was not caused by the wash.
