      I am not liable for this debt with Oportun *********************, I do not have a contract with Oportun *********************. They sold the collection to ************************** and they did not provide me with the original contract as I requested. I settled the account because they manipulated me, but it should not be a collection on my credit.

      Subject: Urgent Request for Resolution on Withheld Funds Immediate Action Required Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the withholding of my funds by Oportun, which I have been unable to access since attempting a withdrawal on October 2, 2024.I began using Oportuns savings platform on August 23, 2024, to save for specific financial goals. As of October 2, 2024, I had $956.66 in my ********************** and $14.14 in my **************** totaling $973.80. I also have three pending deposits into my account:$15.50 on October 8, 2024 $100.00 on October 7, 2024 $22.12 on October 7, 2024 When I attempted to withdraw funds on October 2, 2024, I encountered an error message that read, Were having trouble processing this request. Please contact support at ******************************** I immediately contacted customer support via email and sent seven follow-up emails on October 2. On October 3, I received a response stating that my withdrawal request was being withheld due to security measures, with no explanation provided regarding the exact nature of the issue, timeline for resolution, or steps I need to take to regain access to my funds.I find this lack of transparency and clarity highly concerning, particularly given the urgency of my need to access my savings. It is essential that I receive my funds promptly. I am requesting the immediate release of the total amount of $973.80, along with the pending deposits, back into my account.Please assist me in resolving this issue as quickly as possible. I believe Oportuns actions are unjustifiable and are causing unnecessary financial distress.Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

      I had a credit card with Oportun. The monthly fee for the credit card was ***** or ***** , I dont recall the exact change.On July 18, 2024 I called Oportun and spoke with someone in ***************** to cancel my credit card with them. Before I did that, I made my final payment with Oportun. I made sure that my balance was zero. Everything seemed to go smoothly. I was asked why I wanted to cancel my account and I was honest, I told them that I no longer use the credit card and it was senseless to leave it opened. ****** came and went. Then September came and I received a bill from Oportun for the monthly fee. I called and spoke with someone, once again and explained that I had canceled my account with them 2 months ago. The person on the phone was very disrespectful and insisted that I owed the money. I told them that I no longer had an account with them, but no one seemed to care! Since then someone from Oportun calls me numerous times a day, every day! So far I have received 34 unwanted calls!!! I am seriously considering contacting the *** office and filing a criminal complaint!!

      I completed my loan payment on 8/28/2024 however, the receipt shows the balance due after payment is .28 cents. I went to the location and ******** stated that she is unable to zero out the balance nor can I pay the .28 cents because they do not accept change nor can I pay $1 to satisfy the balance after payment so that it shows as zero balance after payment. The next payment amount does show as $0.00 . If the account is paid in full the balance should also be $0.00 I attempted to have this rectified at my payment branch #*** and the representative states she is unable to show a $0.00 balance after payment. I phoned *** ********* manager with customer service on 9/5 at 12:15 pm and she created a Ticket # REQ1685923 to resolve this issue so that I will have a $0.00 balance after payment. I received a copy of my Oportun balance receipt # ********* on 9/19 and the next payment amount is $0.00 HOWEVER, there is still a balance after payment of .28 cents . I requested to pay this amount again and the store cashier stated that I am unable to pay this amount. I have contacted the business three times by email and Oportun provided a contact number for them to provide a response. I phoned the number ************, as provided and spoke with *********************** on 9/25 at 10:07 am and she informed me that Oportun is unable to change this and zero out this balance and the store location does not accept change, nor can I just pay $1.00 to resolve this issue. I have gone to the store location three times, three phone calls and four emails to resolve this issue so that the balance after payment is 0.00 as is the next payment amount 0.00 so there is a zero balance. I am requesting a billing adjustment of .28 cents so that the balance after payment is 0.00 to match the next payment amount of 0.00 so that the balance is paid in full.

      The company has been taking $5 for a subscription I know nothing about. It turn out they have been debiting my account for the past 7 years without my consent. They are robbing people and if youre a very busy business woman like me you really dont pay attention to $5 monthly. I imagine they are doing this to millions of people making a lot of free money. I would like a refund for every dime.

      I took a loan for $4400 in spring 2022. I have now paid over $3000 and I still owe $4147 over 2 years later of payments. Meaning out of over $3000, only $250 went to principal. This rate is illegal and violates usury laws. I was not aware this rate was illegal when I agreed to it. Additionally, their app says I qualify for a postponement program, but then never grants me it. Now theyre sending me letters saying theyre going to charge it off which is crazy when Ive already paid so much back and they said I could postpone payments past due but dont follow through. I dont believe Im responsible for the full amount due to illegal interest charged and think I should be given the postponed payment programs for an appropriate amount left.

      Oportun did a draft of $70 when there was only $20 in my account. This put my account at $-*****. I got ahold of the company just for them to tell me they couldn't reverse the save and if I were overdrafted they would possibly refund me. I had to move $50 over from my savings to take my account out of the negative. I look the next morning and my $20 had been returned but not the $50. I looked at the oportun account and the $70 they took from me was not there. So they did end up reversing it but only gave me back $20 and just decided to keep the $50 apparently. I demand a refund. I will be closing my account with this company. When it used to be digit I never dealt with stuff like this. They were actually smart enough to see I didn't have enough money in my account.

      I took out a loan and I paid it off. I took out a loan back in 2022 and I paid 85% of it off in 2023. I then had a next payment of April 2024. I was late, making the payment, but I called and spoke to somebody in customer service and asked them to extend my day out for my payment. They extended the date out. I was assured that I would not get penalized on my credit to say that I was late because they moved the date out for me. I then did that in June as well and as well as August every representative that I spoke with let me know what the last day I would need to make a payment would be in order for me not to be as being late on my credit. I was assured by every representative that I spoke with that I would not be penalized for getting an extension, which is what they use every time I talk to them in order to make my payments. Paid all the late fees that they have given me. I paid on the date that they said that I would not be penalized or be told that I was late. Now Im getting updates on my credit saying that I was late when my date was pushed out each time. I was told by every representative that I spoke with this would not happen, and that as long as I paid it before a certain date that that would not happen. I did that and my loan is paid off now theyre going back and putting delinquencies on my credit. I need them to change this because its not true. I need the calls to be pulled and whoever to listen to each time I called and fix this.
