I signed up with a company called Digit to help build my savings. They have this option called "rainy day fund" where they slowly withdraw small amounts of money from your bank account. It was really great as it helped me save without thinking of it. Whenever I needed funds I could withdraw it from the rainy day fund immediately. There's a .99 charge for instant withdrawal or you could chose standard and wait 3-5 days. They also have a feature that let's you set a balance protection. I set mine to $100. Meaning if my bank account was in danger of dropping below $100 Digit transfers money from my rainy day fund to my account to prevent that. Digit was bought by a company called Oportun. I haven't noticed much of a difference until yesterday September 11 2024. I notice suddenly my bank account is $90 in the negative! I have $395 in my rainy day fund. Nothing was transferred to avoid the low balance. I thought that was odd so I selected the $395 and attempted to transfer funds instantly. I got a notification saying the money would be deposited within 30 minutes. Hours go by and I attempt this 4 more times. Money won't transfer. I call customer service, submit a work ticket They just give me the run around. They claim it will show up in 3-5 business days that I can't instant transfer. I send them screen shots of proof that I have the ability to instant transfer. I send screenshots of my rainy day balance and bank balance being overdrawn. They stop responding. They are not releasing my funds to me. I feel this company is scamming and stealing money. Their customer service is shady. The resolution I want is my funds deposited IMMEDIATELY NOT 3-5 business days. I'd also like a $90 reimbursement as they caused my account to drop in the negative by not transferring the funds from MY rainy day fund. I attached screenshots showing I have low balance protection, my negative bank balance, and proof that I have instant withdrawal available.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I HAVE A LETTER FROM OPORTUN THAT SHOWS THEY REPORTED TO TRANSUNION AND EXPERIAN BUT INFACT DID NOT REPORT THE CLOSED ACCOUNT TO EQUIFAX BUT INSTEAD REPORTED ANOTHER CARD WITH THE SAME NUMBER TO THEM WITH A BALANCE. I HAVE BEEN GOING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN EQUIFAX AND OPORTUN SINCE APRIL 2024 TRYING TO GET THIS RESOLVED AND CORRECTED AND STILL TODAY THIS IS SHOWING UP ON MY CREDIT REPORT. I HAVE A LETTER FROM OPOTUN THAT SHOWS THEY REPORTED TO TRANSUNION AND EXPERIAN BUT NO EQUIFAX AND I WILL PUT IN HERE.I WANT A CERTIFIED LETTER FROM OPORTUN/WEBBANK SHOWING ME THEY SENT A LETTER TO EQIFAX ALONE STATING THAT THE CARD IN QUESTION IS PAID IN FULL CLOSED AND THAT THERE WAS ONLY EVER 1 CARD WITH THE COMPANY NOT 2. They did not report it to equifax if they had it would not still be on my credit as active and open. I am requesting oportun to send me a letter stating when exactly they reported it. First, I was a victim of identity theft Im not quite positive how it happened. Best I can tell is maybe my crappy ex boyfriend had signed up in my name however, Im now thinking that that might not have been the case. I dont know. All I know is I somehow I ended up with this credit card sent to a prior address of mine, not even my current address and I upon finding out about it, called the company and told them to close it. Apparently, they did not and they sent another copy of the credit card to my prior address again upon further looking into my emails. The account has even been paid from my bank account. They claim that there is charges after that which is bull because I told them to close the account and they will not take this off my credit report they are full of c*** and I have proof that theres two different account numbers and that it was closed at the time that they claim that there was more charges and when there were payments made out of my own account. Somehow, they claim that there wasnt even payments made and for some reason they are still able to report though Ive had them taken off already once and they put them selves back on . They are clearly crooks and by reading the complaints they have a long history of doing this. It is absurd that they can keep on doing this. It is illegal and im about to just file a lawsuit if they dont fix the lies on my credit report Like honestly, what do you have to say about two different account numbers every time I ask them they literally say nothing about it. Its also absurd because upon searching through my house, I found statements with my actual address on it where theyve sent things to me however, they kept sending cards to my old address at the same time so they knew that I didnt live there!!!Business Response

Hello,I received a late payment for July 31st due to Oportun not accepting my payment due to a payment reversal. I had attempted to pay $60 on my loan and it did not go through due to an error on their end. I thought everything was fine and that payment went through until I check my credit report and I received a late payment. I was confused because I had paid my monthly payment. It seems to be an error on their end with their system not accepting bank account transactions and only credit cards. This has resulted in me receiving a late payment due to an error on their end. If we can reach a settlement I would be glad to pay the remaining loan which is $317 by the 10 in return they remove the late payment **** as it was an error on their end due to their system as I am sure I am not the only one who had their payment reversed by oportun. Hello, I sent in a prior complaint regarding the payment reversal error which resulted in me receiving a late payment despite my attempt to pay. I appreciate oportun but please make this right. I have bank statements showing that the reversal was on your end. It never even made it to my bank account despite you guys having the option to accept the payment. I have reached out to this company for over a year with email documentation, I went through a bad divorce lost everything, have not worked in over a year because no one will hire me due to medical and age. I requested a 48 dollar a month payment and they refused because it was not an acceptable offer, now they are taking me to court and filing a lein against me, when I reached out to a real person she communicated that the amount was not acceptable either and would not set up payments, I am barley living off my retirement with those around me trying to help as they can.Business Response

For years I used a savings app called Digit. It took small amounts of money from my checking account over time and set it aside for me. When it would reach 2000 usd, I would withdraw. Any money over 2000 ***** would take a small percentage. Now Digit is gone and a company called Oportun is requesting my updated bank information. There isn't any way for me to collect my funds.
