    Anyone giving this place 5 stars either works for this company or is a ****** your research before using any debt relief company. They are sales people. They make it sound like they are going to help you reduce your debt by a considerable amount. They tell you not to pay your debt for about 6 months before they can do negotiations. By the time they do this and take their fee it's not that much of a reduction. Then you will get harassed to put more money into your program. Money that if I had, I would. They make you feel low. Tell you that you should just file bankrupt ( they should not give that advice they are not a bankrupt lawyer) . My advice, work with the creditors directly. Only giving them 1 star because after multiple times trying to cancel this program the manager and I came to an agreement on the balance I owed for the settlement fee. Be careful, after I did cancel I got a notice of them trying to get me to re-sign a document to have them represent me again.

    We're sorry that you were unhappy with the 2 settlements that we achieved for you. Unfortunately, some creditors do settle higher than others and we did share that we expected a high settlement from one of the creditors settled, from the beginning. We definitely understand that it can still be disappointing. If you had opted to remain in our program, we're confident that you would have seen greater savings. We do ask clients if they can add extra funds, but this is not a requirement and we're sorry that you felt harassed. This was not our intention. After you cancelled the program, an email was sent to you, in error. A manager called 7/8 and left a message and our Director of Client Experience left a message and sent an email on the same day, apologizing, letting you know that the email was sent in error and assuring you that you were cancelled. She also asked you to please call if you still had any concerns, but we didn't hear back from you. If you do wish to connect, please don't hesitate to reach out!

    The issue I ran into with them was deceptive promises and lack of transparency. They proudly stated that they would take nothing themselves on a settlement with a creditor until the creditor had received a payment. I noted later on reviewing my account that after a deal, they sent a $1 payment on a debt (with $10ish charged for priority mail for this $1) and then took $$$ themselves. This is their version of not taking anything themselves on a debt until the creditor had received a payment. Technically true, since they didn't specify it would be a payment over $1, but still deceptively worded, making you think it's not what it is. After I noted this, I made a request that in future settlements, I wanted full transparency up front on the deals before I approved them, including the amount and timing of every future payment, so that I could clearly see how the division of the payments to the creditors and the payments to them broke down. They never replied to my request for full transparency. I sent another message repeating this and giving a time limit of a few days for them to acknowledge this request. Crickets. I left the program. Obviously, full transparency in advance on timing of all payments in a deal before the customer accepts that deal is too much for Pacific to agree to. I wonder if that's because most customers, if told in advance that the initial "payment" to a creditor might be just $1 while charging $10 for postage for that $1 and taking $$$ for Pacific, might object to this division of things and want it a little more balanced. All I asked for was full transparency of payments in the future at the time new deals were proposed to me. Pacific could not accept this. I'm suspicious of any company who objects to full transparency up front and wonder what else they might be hiding that I didn't happen to notice later.

    The ***resentative at *** was very open to questions and knowledgeable about how the program works. I had answers to all my questions and invites to circle back with more issues when I needed to. The terms of my agreement were transparent and easy to understand. Deciding to start debt relief is very stressful and the *** was very understanding and encouraging and explained all the ways the company could help me deal with creditor calls and legal issues so that I had support.

    ****** was amazing. He was explaining everything to me and I even kept interrupting to ask questions. He would answer and continue to explain. I took several days to come to a decision and eventually called him back. This was a very easy process. I highly recommend PD to anyone seeking debt help.
