    I am submitting this formal complaint against Carefree Auto, operated by Walton R. H***** under the name Care Free Complete Auto Repair, located at 6556 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115. The business performed a repair on my 2003 GMC Denali that led directly to total engine failure. On March 31, 2025, I paid $1,456.91 for the replacement of the oil pan gasket and rear main seal. Immediately after picking up the vehicle, I noticed an unusual engine noise. Despite expressing concern, the technician poured MOA into the engine and assured me it was only a lifter issue. On April 17, 2025, my vehicle broke down completely and had to be towed back to their shop. Carefree Auto then claimed the engine was blown but denied responsibility. I was told that if I could prove it was their fault, they would fix it or install a new engine if I supplied it. I later had the vehicle towed to Henry’s Radiator and Auto Repair. I returned to Carefree Auto and showed technician Ronson the contaminated oil. I called Henry’s and had technician explained that if the engine were already blown, metal shards would have been evident during oil drainage. The technician at Carefree Auto, Ronson acknowledged this on the phone, but after the call, he denied wrongdoing and told me I’d have to sue him.
