**Review for Beyond Finance**I started working with Beyond Finance 1 year ago, and I deeply regret my decision. The persistence of their sales team was overwhelming, and the representative who convinced me was completely misleading. Sadly, I'm not alonethere are countless reviews online from other dissatisfied customers.I was assured that my debt would be negotiated within 6 to 9 months. Following their advice to stop making payments, I ended up being sued by two of the companies I owe money to. Initially, I was told that $500 monthly payments would resolve my debt. Within 7 months, I was asked to increase it to $700 a month. Recently, I added an additional $2000 to my account, and now I'm being told I might need to deposit even more.Following their advice has led to these lawsuits, and now they expect me to pay for an attorney at a so-called "discounted price." This shouldn't have happened. I was told to stop making payments and that everything would be resolved within 9 months. I trusted them.If Beyond Finance reviews the recording of the representative who sold me their services, they'll hear all the promises made. I'm not fabricating this. This nightmare is shared by many other clients online.

      **************,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on November 14, 2022.  At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Information about estimated time frames can be located in the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8."Timing and Program Estimates".  It reads, in part, as follows:

" Further, in our experience it typically takes approximately 4-6 months before reaching the stage at which Company can begin reaching out to creditors or collectors and achieve your first resolution. If the Client has multiple debts, Company typically will make an offer to the next creditor within approximately 3-6 months of when the prior debt was resolved and after the Client has saved 40%-50% of the debt due to the next creditor."

The expectation was not set that all of your enrolled accounts would be resolved in this time frame, rather your first resolution offer could be expected in this time frame.

Additionally, the possibility of creditor litigation is covered in the same section in paragraph 13."Disclaimer".  It reads, in part, as follows:

"Although, services provided by the Company aim to reduce the Clients outstanding debts with creditors, the Company cannot prevent a creditor from taking legal action against them, and the Company cannot offer any guarantee whatsoever that legal actions will not be commenced by the Clients creditors."

Beyond Finance will continue all efforts to reach resolutions on accounts that move into a legal status. Part of this effort may be reaching out to see if you have additional funds you are able to add to your program in an effort to put you in a better position to obtain favorable offers.

Our records reflect you have also been in contact with our ************************* and have had an opportunity to discuss your concerns with them as well.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

First of all, I did not enroll in the program in November 2022, it was in May 2023, and already a year has gone by.
I now understand how your company works, but during my call with your sales representative, this was not clearly explained. I was told that all my accounts would be resolved within 6 months. It has been a year, and two of my creditors have already sued me.

If I had known this could happen, I would have never signed up for the program. I would have preferred to keep making minimum payments until my financial situation improved. I joined your company because I was facing financial difficulties, and you contacted me, not the other way around.

While I'm sure the information provided above is accurate, those initial calls with your salespeople are very misleading. I don't recommend anyone going through a financial crisis to sign up with you. It's better to keep making minimum payments, even if it all goes to interest. Being sued was never something I was told could happen.

      Thank you,
      ***

I secured Beyond to help me get a resolution to debts I accrued and they seemed a viable option. I began paying them biweekly payments of 167 dollars, which I was told was paying off my Santa, but it was actually paying off fees and other hidden cost. They told me after 6 months I could graduate the plan faster so I agreed, and that is when then got me funding through Above Lending. Well Above provided the fund and they said all the debts were settled, so I began paying. A couple months later a I checked my credit report and it was reflecting a balance from an item I was told was settled, I contacted beyond and they told me it would take a while but meanwhile all others we settled. Then I received a statement from the *** stating how much of the debt was cleared and the remaining went on my credit report affecting me negatively. I reached out showing my concern and it is still on my report, they claimed to have settled the debt, but only settled a portion meanwhile Im paying for the full amount they were supposed to settled, thats a breach of the agreement we had and I ceased payments until they can provide proof that its cleared and off my credit report as they agreed. Above is somewhat of a partner to them and I informed them as well, but still just getting harassed after they discharged the loan. Just looking for them to correct their mistake that costing me.

      Mr. ********,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

Review of your program confirmed that all of your enrolled tradelines were appropriately resolved as agreed upon.  It is important to keep in mind that Beyond Finance does not have any control over how your creditor will report the resolved balance to the credit reporting agencies.

In reference to the tax form 1099-C you received, this confirms the cancellation of debt.  The possibility of receiving a tax form for any savings received through the program is covered in your enrollment agreement.  It can be located under the section tired "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 10. No Legal or Tax Advice.  It reads, in part, as follows:

"Client acknowledges that the settlement of debts and any savings thereby achieved through the Program may result in tax consequences to the Client. The Client shall be fully responsible for any and all such tax consequences and may receive tax forms in which their compromise and/or reduction of debt was reported."

We are hopeful we have been able to provide clarity to your concerns.  Should you have additional concerns with information reflected by the credit reporting agencies you can dispute directly through each agency to encourage the creditors to report correct and accurate information.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

This should have been disclosed when I first signed up for the program, it was not. This was disclosed after I started paying when I was supposed to graduate the program because if I know that it was not a guarantee to have my credit/ debts resolved I would have declined and just paid them out myself. This company is fraudulent and full of hidden secrets.

First off you keep saying yall provided me a copy, but you all also read the important stuff from the paperwork, you never mentioned that its a chance that the creditor may report anyway they feel, and I had to pay all those fees for 6 months and you all said that after six months my score would go up and I would be on my way to debt freedom, know where in those conversations did I hear you mention that they may report it in an ill manner??? Because I would have halted the process you all just pointed out all the good parts to seal the deal. And finally how can you settle for th le whole settlement amount and Im responsible for paying back and only a portion was credited??? If they only reporting about half then why is that amount not reflected?? Why is the 3900 or whatever not represented in the settlement amount, rather its the full amount of about 8000$????? Fraudulent practices

I withdrew from this program because I have the money to pay off my debt. Upon canceling, one of their associates told me that I would receive my escrow balance of $386.64 and my last payment of $219 back. I received this in writing from them, and now they refuse to refund what they stated. Nothing they say makes sense.

Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. After I saw the response from Beyond finance and I excepted the resolution. Since the response was several days ago, I decided to call them to get a timeline on when I should expect to see that refund in my bank. At that time I was told there will be no refund issued and began to ask additional questions and provide the information from their response to the Better Business Bureau complaint they hung up on me. I am just looking for a timeline when I should expect that refund to my bank. Thank you for all your help concerning this matter.

Beyond Finance was supposed to negotiate a resolution offer with my creditor, ***************** *****. I was given misinformation several times and have continuously paid large lump sums of money (two payments of $500+ in addition to my monthly agreed upon payment of $252/month). I was told to "add more funds" to my account in order to reach a resolution with *****. I was told multiple times that once a resolution was negotiated, that I would be given a call. I was never given a call and the company continued to lie to me about where they were at with negotiations while I continued to pay them additional funds.

I was contacted by a representative of this company with an offer of a "Debt Consolidation Loan". I applied, and was told my application was accepted. The salesperson led me to believe the debts would be covered by a "loan", which was changed to a requirement of a deposit from us monthly to be used to pay the settlement amounts of the debts. Beyond Finance representative told me I had to stop making payments to my creditors in order for them to negotiate a settlement of the debts. My former spouse and conjugal partner since 1995 had a 100% on time payment record with all our creditors so I was extremely hesitant to accept the agreement. However, we are both retired and inflation and major medical problems have hit us very hard financially and I was repeatedly assured that we could easily rebuild our credit rating after the debts had been settled. The representative said I could save and the fees for the program by the end of 2025. The representative told me to stop the automatic payments I had set up for my creditors immediately, and unfortunately followed those directions.I was also told to authorize Beyond Finance to make automatic withdrawals from from my checking account which would be credited to my "client account". A transfer of S394.35 was made on 3/26/24 and $855.00 on 4/1/24. They did not transfer the $855.00 deposit due on 5/1/24 and did not provide me any notification as to why they did not do so. I was unaware the transfer had not been made until I did a routine balance check on my account and found that Beyond Finance had also deposited $1217.90 of the ******* in my "client account" back into my bank checking account. I contacted Beyond Finance and was told my bank had denied the transfer and they received a letter from my bank stating that the social security number I gave them did not match and that the owner of the account was deceased. My bank representative said they had not sent the letter and there are no problems.

I signed up for this program in January of 2023. They told me they would work with my creditors and I would pay them $447.29 monthly for 4 years. They said not to pay anything to the creditors as they would take care of dealing with them. Then in May of ********************** as I had sent them papers I had been served by *************. They said ************* was not willing to negotiate and I would have to pay them additional money. Ill began paying them $610.29 to cover this. They assured me this amount would be taken off what I owe them when I graduate from their program. Then today, May 23, 2024 they called me and said they had negotiated my other Discover account (I had two of them) but they would need over $2000.00. I told them I did not have this and the person asked me what I could pay and I told her $700. Per month is the most I could pay right now. She put me on hold and came back and said she had spoken with her supervisor and that was not enough but she would leave the case in pending status because the offer with ******** does not expire until June 7, 2024. They are not holding up to the original agreement with me and no one told me my amount would increase. They had even told me not to worry they would even provide free legal counsel if it was needed. I had immediately sent them all legal documents I received from the courts. I then got a legal notice saying I had not responded to the courts. They had told me they were doing this for me. I believe they should be made to go back to our original agreement on my cost of $447.29 per month for 4 years. I only have retirement and social security to live off of and I cannot afford their changes. Please help me!

Ms. ************************ you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on January 17, 2023.  At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Information about monthly deposits can be located in the section titled "Schedule A List of Creditors and Debt & Program Details".  This section details the estimated monthly deposit needed.

Given the nature of the program, it would be irresponsible for us to guarantee your payment amount would never change.  In such circumstances as yours, where an account moved into a legal status, the request for additional funds is made in an effort to secure arrangements promptly.

Our records indicate that you have been able to speak with an account manager and come to a resolution on this matter.  We are pleased that we have been able to move forward with securing arrangements on both of your Discover accounts.

you DID verbally tell me I would pay the agreed upon amount for 4 years and you told me all legal issues would be handled by your firms lawyer at no charge to me. I was never told my amount could change. I have an Aunt on your program and she states you told her the same as I was told. You have now upped my payment amount over $200. This information should be explained up front. Also why did I get a statement from the court saying I had not responded when you are the ones who told me to send it to you and you were handling this for me?  I had sent every court order to you the day it was received by me. I am highly dissatisfied with your company and again I believe you should go back to the original agreement amount I was told by you that I would pay for 4 years. Also I had asked for your company to put in writing the increased amount you are making me pay would be taken off of what I owed on the original agreement and was told it would and I would graduate early from the program yet when I asked for this in writing I was told they could not give it to me in writing. Why is this?

Beyond Finance is clear and transparent that all figures provided are estimates.  In an effort to reach a prompt arrangement on your program in a legal status we presented you with a conditional offer that would allow us to prevent the account from escalating.

Throughout your Enrollment Agreement, Beyond Finance is clear that we do not provide legal advice.  This is covered in the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 10. No Legal or Tax advice.  It is additionally covered in the section titled "Client Acknowledgment Statement" on the first line item:

"Client understands and acknowledges, that Beyond Finance, LLC (the Company) is not a law firm, and that the Company does not provide legal or tax advice. "

Beyond Finance has been working directly with the law firm handing the matter for your creditor.  We have recently made efforts to reach you regarding this matter, but have been unsuccessful in doing so.

Regarding your payment adjustment, this is reflected via the deposit change confirmation email.

We are hopeful we have been able to provide additional clarity to your concerns.  Should you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I entered a debt program with the belief that my debt would be negotiated and settled within six months. I have been with the program for almost 12 months now and during this time in the program, I was under the assumption that after six months of making on time payments that I would qualify for a graduation loan. since I have been with the program have had three graduation loan offers and all three have been rejected. When I entered the program it was not explained to me that on an account that is settled for the lesser value than what the total account was worth that they take 25% for themselves. Ive been struggling for the last two months to keep funds in my account to pay one creditor and now the creditor wants 2000 more dollars than what the original debt was because Beyond Finance originally let me to believe that they were going to negotiate a payment plan with the lender but after months, they tell me that I need the funds in my account before they can agree to negotiation with the lender. I find it hard to believe considering they had no issues coming to an agreement with the largest balance and setting up a payment plan. Now every month they are taking part of their 25% from my account and it keeps depleting my funds available to pay one particular lender. it is dragging out and I have the creditor trying to subpoena me for court. I keep adding money to my account to keep the balance up to pay this one particular lender, but every time I get my funds above the available amount there is a fee that comes out and puts me below the value that I need to pay the lender off. Some of these things werent explained upon me entering the debt program. I am very aggravated and this has drug out a lot longer than they led me to believe. From looking at the Better Business Bureau website, I understand that I am not the only one that has had an issue with this company. I feel as if I am stuck in the debt program now considering I am in a payment plan with a creditor

      Mr. *******,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on November 14, 2022.  At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Information about estimated time frames and program fees can be located in the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 8. "Timing and Program Estimates" and in paragraph 11. (a) "Program fees respectively.  They read, in part, as follows:

"While guidelines differ widely among Creditors, in our experience an accumulation of 25%-50% of the then-current balance of a Debt and approximately 4-6 months from the last payment will normally enable us to make a good-faith offer to resolve your first and subsequent Debts."

"The Client agrees to pay the Company a fee in the amount of ***** % percent of the balance of each debt enrolled into the program and where Company resolves the debt, whether directly or indirectly through Companys agents, with the creditor"

Review of your program confirmed that Beyond Finance exceeded expectations in presenting you with your first resolution offer and has been pleased to be able to present you with an additional offer which you elected to approve.  In both of these instances all established criteria we met prior to any installment of the fee being earned.

Regarding the opportunity for a loan, this is presented as the possibility to be reviewed for the loan, not a guarantee that an offer will be extended.  Beyond Finance will continue to service your program and work towards helping you achieve your goal of financial freedom.

Should you have any additional concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

      Ms. ******,

Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.

We confirmed your enrollment into the program on July 14, 2021.  At the time of enrollment, the Account Specialist reviewed your Debt Resolution Agreement with you prior to your signing.  Information about the potential for creditor litigation can be located in the section titled "Debt Resolution Agreement" in paragraph 13. "Disclaimer".

Beyond Finance advised that in order to potentially expedite reaching an arrangement on the referenced account you could add additional funds.  There was no guarantee these funds would allow us to reach the required amount of available funds to reach a resolution.  When we were unable to move forward with an offer on that account, the funds were utilized towards your other existing offers.

Our records reflect that you have had the opportunity to discuss this matter with an agent.  Should you have any additional concerns at this time, please do not hesitate to reach out.

      Sincerely,
      Beyond Finance, LLC

Completed program over 2 months ago and was told graduation would take 14 days. We are now at 60 days post completion and Beyond continues to take funds out of my banking account (despite all debt being paid) and beyond has yet to refund me the over payment of $202.

What the salesperson sold me on the phone is not what I signed up for. The salesperson told me that all I had to do was worry about making my regular monthly payment and that beyond finance would take care of the rest. That is not the case. I am now being faced with the decision to increase my payments or be sued, according to your customer service rep. ** I didnt increase my payment several hundred a month then I was going to face legal action by my creditor. I wanted to see the agreement in writing but was told I wasnt allowed and I had to verbally agree without seeing it. I was also told I only had one business day to decide. To me, beyond finance does not seem to be taking care of things and are gatekeepers of information. Why wasnt I offered any additional options? I thought this company was supposed to help me but the reality is not the pretty picture that the salesperson painted. I want beyond finance to change the way they train their sales people. I wish they were more transparent and less misleading. I felt I was sold a different product.
