I give NEGATIVE 5k star review, T his company is a complete SCAM> They Lie and they steal and they have no supervisors. they pretend like they transfer you somewhere but its the same person. its a complete joke. The company is only surviving off of scaling people and refusing to let them out of their subscriptions. I had to cancel my card just to put an end to their BullS**** if I ever see someone trying to lure someone into this company I would do everything in my power to try and save them from ever giving their info to such a a joke of a company. they LIE and CHEAT and THEy STEAL. Run away as fast as you can and cancel your card. Dont bother trying to cancel. It wont work and they will try to charge you more and more each time. This company deserves to be thrown in the trash. It's a shame that journalisms is tied to such a shady company. Its sad.

Our records indicate that an order for Sunday Only delivery was initiated with our Subscription Sales vendor on 4/5/2025 and the subscription was to begin on 4/13/2025. On 4/10 calls were placed to our customer service department and ****** ***** was informed service would begin on 4/13.

Based on your request, the subscription has been voided and delivery will not begin. A refund for the full amount paid ($12.50) will be returned to your credit card.

      1) I cancelled my paper within time limit for cancellation and they still billed my credit card after they stopped delivering my paper.2) they said my delivery ran THOUGH the 27th. I didn't get a paper that day and when I called about that, they said through means you don't get a paper that day. 3) FINALLY a supervisor said THEY would REQUEST a refund that would take 1-2 days to go through and then as much as 6 business days to be posted 4) The person that answers the phone will not put you through to a supervisor but says they can handle things. THEY CAN'T HANDLE ANYTHING TO DO WITH A REFUND, IF they put you through to a supervisor, you get to go through everything again.IF YOU STOP YOUR SUBSCRIPTION TO THE SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE be sure to continue to check your credit card or bank account for continued billing!5) They were going up from $40something to $70something and tried to get me to stay for $50 something. Then, after I said no, they billed me $70something.

The UT is charging me almost $500 for a subscription. I have subscribed for years! I tried to cancel the charge for next year and they said since it was already deducted there was nothing they could do even though this is for next year not anything I have already received. I am beyond angry with their customer service

The San Diego Union Tribune is charging for home delivering of their ever-decreasing-in-size-and content newspaper a whopping $224.00 for TWO MONTHS. That subscription rate is utterly ridiculous!!! No newspaper should be charging such an outrageous rate!! I had been on an automatic payment plan (having been a long-time subscriber) and had not paid enough attention to my credit card statement to register this rate. Once I did, I cancelled immediately.Still, I think the public should be made aware of such an outrageous price for this newspaper.I find it shameful that a company would do this.I would give this review no stars, if it were possible.

I received my last newspaper on February 25th, 2024. I never received my March 3rd paper. I called the newspaper and they said that they did not have enough newspaper carriers to deliver the newspapers. I asked them to please deliver my Sunday newspaper and they said that they would. Unfortunately I had mailed my payment in the mail on March 3, for $37.30. When I still didn't receive my newspaper on Monday (despite their promise that I would) I called and cancelled my subscription, effective March 3rd. I also sent an e-mail to them verifying the information. I received an e-mail from The Union Tribune saying they cancelled my account effective March 10th, and I owed them ~ $12.00. When I hadn't received my refund by this Friday I called again and the man told me that it would take another three weeks, plus whatever days subtracted for weekends. I also found out that if I hadn't called the Union Tribune would never have sent me a refund.

They steal your money but won't ever deliver a single newspaper. They do this all the time according to other reviews and they somehow keep getting away with it. They deserve to go out of business

Again, we tried a subscription to the newspaper after having failed deliveries the last time. Unfortunately, the same thing this time. the phone system takes so long to get through and you can only call at certain times daily. We had no paper delivery from April 2023 to August 2023 but we received a bill and past due notices. I filed a complaint online. I called today to dispute the bill, and they claim not to have received the online complaint. After 30 minutes I asked to speak to a supervisor, finally after mentioning the Tribune's poor rating on the BBB, she agreed to credit the account in full and acknowledged the subscription is cancelled. Buyer beware.

2 times i have put in for vacation hold and my paper was never stopped! Thank ******** for observant neighbor! I have called to complain and asked for a supervisor to call me back but to no avail. I'd like an explaintion why/how their communiction is not getting to the delivery person and how they plan to resolve it. Customer service is horrible. I'm leaving again and I cant trust my paper will be held so i will be canceling my $69 subscribtion!

My spouse just received in the US mail an "Acknowledgment of Subscription Terms" for a continuous subscription that WE NEVER requested. This is a very sleazy marketing ploy, or worse, fraud. I called and the customer care person tried to tell us that we agreed to the subscription offer made from someone who knocked on our door. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. We have zero interest in the paper and are even preparing to move out of the city.

Terrible service. Absolutely awful with their outsourced "customer service" and they refused to fix any issues.
