Review of *************** Apartments Ive had a deeply frustrating experience with the staff at *************** Apartments. Their level of unprofessionalism is astonishing. Ive repeatedly tried to reach them by phone, only to find my calls go unanswered and my voicemails ignored. Its as if they dont care about their residents at all. When I finally did get someone on the line, I was met with rudeness and an aggressive tone that was completely uncalled for. Instead of helping, they seemed annoyed that I was even reaching out. This is not the level of service anyone should expect from an apartment complex. Its disappointing to see such laziness and lack of accountability. If youre considering moving here, be warned: you may be on your own when it comes to any issues or concerns. I certainly regret my decision to live here.

My name is ****** ***** I was a previous tenant at *********************************** at **************************************. Property managers ******** ****** and ********* ******* relentlessly harassed and targeted me throughout my tenancy. It started w/ her having my car unlawfully towed. Then weaponizing Unlawful Detainers with the wrong address. I complained to the local county office to report the harassment and what seemed to be questionable billing practices. Management wouldnt talk to me or the mediators. ********* escalated hostility towards me writing threats on my vehicle. I suspect breaking into my apartment planting literal bugs as I found hair that matched hers on my floor and counters. My work orders were decreased to ignored and I was taunted constantly. What really concerns me is the potential fraud going on as ********* sent me an email that she was in possession of my electric charges and refused giving them to me when I contacted the police. When I finally received the charges and my ledger my apartment has been listed as Vacant since October around the time I asked the office if theyd seen my mail bc I wasnt sure if there was a mix up. I called the electric company they said I wasnt supposed to be getting service for identity verification. My apartment I discovered was not wired correctly and it had fried a breaker. The water is contaminated I developed sores in my nose and bleeding gums. I had to go without hvac for 8mos bc I was having a severe allergic reaction. Maintenance changing my filters cut my fiberglass sleeve that entire time. I wasnt made aware until County Code Complaince responded to my complaint. I wrote a demand to Christines supervisor ******** ****** to terminate my lease she refused to do so and hiked my rent by $800s to trigger an eviction. I waited for the Sheriff to show but he didnt. When I went to contact the sheriffs office the next morning I was locked in the apartment!

Hello BBB,There is so much more to this story. We can also provide documents from the property dealings with ****** and Fairfax County Consumer Affairs. She has been smearing our names and providing false allegations since March 2024. ****** has been making false allegations about the ******************* Manager (***) since she responded to Fairfax County Consumer Affairs in regards to the compliant we received, due to her receiving a late letter on her door in February 2024. The compliant was sent in March 2024 via email and postal letter. ****** made allegations of mismanaging of her ledger/account and harassment. April 2024 tenant countered our response but email was never sent by county, the case worker from the county realized a month later that the file never sent because it was to big. After reading the file, I took over responding as ****** was making false accusations towards ******************* Manager. Once I responded to the County, ****** starting making false accusations about me as well. In May June ****** was notified that her electric was not in her name as we were billing her account. Then she accused us of withholding her mail and brought the police here and he told her that there was nothing he could do. April 2024, ****** was sent a renewal letter which she never responded as to what her intentions were. After multiple calls and emails and no response, she was placed on Month to Month. Prior to her lease expiring she stopped paying rent. So we filed on her in July 2024. We to court in August and she contested the amount owed. September 13th trial was set. I attended and testified. We were granted a judgement and possession. Ms. ****** told the judge she was turning in keys that day but didnt. Once writ was filed the ******** called to schedule the eviction. ****** never turned in keys and ******** came out for the eviction. Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else. We would like to request the negative review be removed.Thank you, ******** ****** Community Manager - The Belhaven

On March 16, 2024, I had a swarm of termites eat through my window ledge. To this day it is not repaired. I dont even know if they had a termite pest control come in to treat the problem. Im still paying rent and the office has gone silent despite calling headquarters.

I recently applied for a apartment that this company manages. I was assured that I would be able to get accepted for my apartment based of the information showed before applying. I was then denied for the apartment and was told the deposit I put down for the apartment wouldn't be returned. I wonder how much money they make in a day being untruthful to potential tenants.

I will add another review of this company just to reinforce all of the other bad reviews, but I doubt that it will change anything. Fairfield recently bought the senior apartment complex that my mom lives in and sent her an eviction notice, claiming $348 in back rent and demanding that she pay it immediately, after the previous management company had raised rent without telling quite a few of the tenants. Both companies kept this from those tenants for over a year, probably so that they could claim that they weren't paying rent and use it as a weapon to force them out of their homes and attract wealthier tennants to pad their bottom line. My mom is almost 73 years old and relies on food stamps, social security, and a few hundred dollars a month that she receives from one of her sisters to pay for food and the rest of her living expenses, along with a housing voucher that allows her to afford rent. The original developers who built the complex received government subsidies to cover at least some of the construction and management costs and it's possible that any or all of the several companies who have owned it since then have as well.
