    Your advertising is misleadingplain and simple.  You lure the curious as well as potential customers to believe they will be able to get a free report to see what they would be buying if they sign up.  After 5 minutes of question answering, you conclude by providing nothing and saying the person has to sign up to see the results.  Having been in business for over 40 years, I most certainly understand that the process of your business costs money. But customer acquisition is also a cost of doing business.  It is common to provide a free peek as a marketing tool. As to the terms you refer to, poll your employees to see what percent ever really read the multiple pages of lawyer gibberish as opposed to just hitting accept to move on to the intended task.  We both know the point of these listed  terms is not to inform, but to cover your very large corporate rear end.

    While you argue that you are in compliance with the law and hide behind the full disclosure of your terms, the reality is that you know for a fact you are being duplicitous, In this regard, you are losing not only business from those may want your services but who dont want to play your game but also the potential referrals from those who, whether they may immediately want your services or not, are impressed with the provided sample. Such was my case. I own some income producing property and was interested in seeing what your product looked like, what it covered, and how I might benefit from it in the future. That ship has not only sailed; it sunk like the Titanic. In business, my attitude towards clients was to give them exceptional service and to treat everyone fairly, as I myself would have wanted to be treated.  You apparently prefer the lure and mislead approach.  To each their own.  Trust that when the time comes that I may need a service like yours, you will not be the company I will contact.

    There is no dispute that the company provides its services for a fee as it should, only that it employees questionable and unethical marketing practices to entice people by a seeming free sample only to want to be paid for that sample.  This exchange makes it clear they will not admit their unethical marketing practices and have no intent to even entertain that they are.  I have no further comments, only to alert prospective people who may be lured by the companys questionable marketing.

    I canceled Truthfinder over a month ago and they still continue to take money out of my account. I want my money back and them to leave me alone and stop taking money out of my account

    Members have the option to end their membership whenever they wish, either by accessing their account online, reaching out to phone support, or by emailing our support team. After a thorough investigation, we have determined that no cancellation attempts were made through any of these channels prior to December 31, 2024.

    We have cancelled all memberships and reversed the pending charges on Ms. ****** account back to the payment method used to enroll, and no further charges will be incurred. As a courtesy, we have refunded an additional month of charges back to the payment option on the account.

    I received an advertisement regarding identity search. It became an offer to ask for information on a search of offenses. As i completed this I realized it was not the type of search (mostly criminal behavior) that I wanted. I logged out. The next thing i knew was a charge on my credit card. I tried to call them, but a human never answered. I knew nothing about a monthly charge and was shocked to find I now have 3 months of charges of about $90. After calling Truth Finders many times and Discovery I realized this was not a reputable company. I did not see anything about becoming a member of ****Their ad said i could cancel whenever i wanted. This was a lie because no one ever answered the phone. I froze my Discover card but within one day they emailed that it was my error. Even so I should be allowed to cancel the so-called membership. Im willing to pay for one month even though I never received any report.

    Members can easily cancel their account online within their account or reach out to our support team by phone or email for help to ensure that there are no unexpected charges incurred.

    The charges associated with the payment method in question have been disputed, resulting in a chargeback. When a chargeback occurs, it indicates that the account is in dispute with the financial institution, and the individual should contact the institution directly for any refund requests. The membership was promptly canceled and deactivated, with no additional charges to be incurred. Furthermore, due to the dispute, access to this account will no longer be attainable

    These people are illegally scraping information from the dark web and publishing it for profit on their website making it impossible for people to remove information without uploading even more sensitive information which allows them to sell it to their partners. When contacted, they send you a basic email response pointing you to their website to "remove your information." They ask for your DOB. They don't have my correct DOB as they have two profiles for me, both with wrong information for age. So it is impossible to have said information about me removed because what they have is only a partial truth. Some is right, some is wrong, DOB is wrong. I want them to remove the two profiles in this photo as they are attempting to reference me in ****, **. This information was taken from data breaches, not ethical websites as no proper business establishment EVER releases PII such as DOB as it is against the law in all 50 states.

    Hello, I signed up the end of July 2024 with *************. it was a five day trial. I immediately used it, and the search did not work for me. So I called the company and canceled. these people continue to take money out of my account each month. $31.87. They withdraw August 5, September 5, October 7, December 4th. Total of five withdrawals from my account. Dealing with a bunch of trauma going on right now, and death in the family. I was slow full to get back in touch with somebody with this issue. They took from me a total of $127.48. I spoke with my bank today. They gave me the listings of all monies deducted from these people. The representative that I spoke to today at truthfinder. she told me that no money was taking from my account for December 4th. I informed her I see they took money out. Plus, I just got off with the Bank institution representative. She also pointed out December 4. Now theyre trying to tell me. I never canceled. That is a flat out blatant lie. I was also informed that they will only giving me back Only,for November 4, 2024. She cant go back any further. I told her that Im going to be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau on this company. I did not Authorize for your *** To take my money. I canceled, and I want my money back. Hopefully I can upload to show you December 4. If you need the rest, I can come back at a later date, because I have to Go to my bank statement online. Snap a picture then upload to you. I want all my money back. I am a senior on disability. I feel like Im being taken Advantage of and lied too. For this reason, I dont mess with trial basis. because Im searching for my late grandmother that was stolen at birth. I gave them a try with no help. I immediately canceled before the time Help.     I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
