    I have filed two BBB complaints against Truthfinder, and this is my third. Their response is to say that they have removed my profile, but it is still right here: ************************************************************************** again, I insist that all information about me on this profile be removed from this site and Truthfinders family sites. I do not want this profile online. This is my third complaint. This company has no regard for privacy, safety, or security. I do not want this profile online, or any other information about me on your sites.

    Transaction placed 9/25 for the amount of *****. I was charged in August after I had cancelled, they refunded the money and assured the membership was cancelled. Then I get another charge on the 25th for an even higher amount. I've emailed them, online chatted ... NO ONE is getting back to me.

    From August 2023 to August 2024. Thirteen months charges of $28.05 per month , totals $364.65 I made a one time payment via ****** to TruthFinder to get information on a case. TruthFinder made it an indefinite recurrent monthly payment .I seek a refund in ****** of $364.65 or extra unjustified charges.

    6-7 months ago I visited a website to lookup info on someone and was given the option to continue for free initially & then of course, for one ***ort they provided a one-time exclusive offer of just ~$4 and some change, which I was fine with. However, upon trying to login to be sure I wasnt being billed a recurring charge, I kept getting an error message saying verbatim "Your account is locked. Please call member care center at ************** to unlock your account." So I called this number and provided my details and was continuously told that they couldn't find my account in their system, so I provided some details to the credit card that I used for the transaction and it was at that point that they supposedly found the account and would be canceling any associated subscription and that I absolutely would NOT be charged by this company again (It should be noted that this entire conversation felt as if the *** was just saying whatever she felt was necessary to get me off the phone as soon as possible). Fast Forward 6 months and I am trying to find another charge on my statement and I happen to see a charge for nearly $30 from this scam of a company! Then, I search back over the past 6-7 months and sure enough I have been charged $29.56 every single month for the past 6-7 months - just short of $200 and I couldn't even login to this scumbag piece of trash thieving website.

    It was an error in the information listed under my name at Truthfinder.com. My name pops up as a 'verified match' when my information is searched. However, the information that appears is for another individual (same first and last name, different middle name and race). Due to other associating factors (my childhood address and my parents names being listed) people assume that the records associated with this individual are mine. I've contacted TruthFinder over 10 times via phone and email. They state that I have to complete a suppression process. To complete this process you have to have access to an email address associated with the record. Since this is a whole other individual, I do not have access. I have completed the suppression process on TruthFinder before with which I assumed was my only record listed on the site (as I am only one person). I verified myself through my email and the record was removed. This nightmare began when someone told me they searced me after a classmate stated I had some bad things on my record. Some way after my suppression, my data got aggregated with the other individual.I keep getting the run around. They instruct me to complete a process that I can't complete and the false record stays on their site. I've offered to send in my license, ss # and other methods to prove my identity. They won't accept. I'm still getting slandered.

    On 7/9/2024 I subscribed to a one week trial for the amount of $5.39.I subsequently canceled the subscription in the alloted time to avoid additional charges but this business has made numerous attempts to charge my card the amount of$32.28. They continue to make daily attempts despite being blocked by my financial institution and repeated online requests to cease.

    I was ordering a background report looking for information and they insinuated that the person I was looking up was on a government watchlist and had graphic images on their background report so I paid for the service. Once I did the report was completely normal aside from an old ticket. It is false advertising and a bait and switch tactic that they should not be allowed to get away with! People are getting swindled out of their money thinking they are going to get valuable information on someone that could affect their safety only to get basic information!
