    My girlfriend of **** years her son went on ************ and got hold of my past information which was supposed to be sealed. Anyway he interpreted it his way and told his mother my business and caused a breakup. Want to know my options for suing them in a court of law. They should be shut down with all the rest.

    I had ordered the service and discovered once I started I had to pay for a bunch of different add ons before I could actually use the service. I called and asked for it to be cancelled and refunded. Was told by CS rep that it would be cancelled and refunded and I could continue to use the service for the month (whatever). Called back 4 seperate times and spoke to the supervisor of their billing department CS agent where they PROMISED to call me back and never did. I never saw my $40 back ever again. Had to dispute it with Paypal but they told Paypal that they didn't approve this refund even though the CS Agent did. I reached out to them MANY MANY times via email and tried everything so this is my last resort

    Hi Truthfinder,

    The reason I disputed it is because your agent said it would be refunded and it never got refunded. Your paypal rep said to paypal no one ever authorized a refund from truthfinder however you know that you record all of your calls for "quality assurance"  then you can review that call log and hear your agent state that both would be refunded. Paypal will not move any further until you (Truthfinder) tell them to refund it because I cannot get any proof beyond the phone calls. None of your agents reply to emails or do anything useful. I've sent 6+ emails in the past month to your support line and NO REPLY. Beyond any terms and conditions an agent emplyoed by Truthfinder make a promise and guarantee and I expect truthfinder to uphold that guarantee regardless of what anything might state if an agent representing your company makes a claim I expect it to be followed through and dealt with.

    I needed to use the service to look up information about one person, I then canceled my subscription online, and I was charged again. I tried calling in to cancel and the person on the line was actually pretending they couldnt hear me then hung up on me. This is a scam so they can keep taking your money. Very unhappy and I want this charge removed and the subscription cancelled!

    Hello the website for ************.com is very misleading it say free but they charge you almost $30 if Im not mistaken thats considered false advertisement and I believe its illegal

    I am NOT a subscriber to Truthfinders. Somehow they attached themselves to my brief search for an obituary for a Veteran friend who passed away in *******. I found the info I needed from a funeral home in *****, *******. I requested NOTHING from Truthfinders. However, they persist in posting pop-*** on my computer, stating that they have new info about "******" and stating that he wants to re-connect with me. [***********************************....is dead, and has been for some time - they do not even have that information!] I have requested on their website, on the phone, and in writing that they cease posting these obnoxious false pop-***. On the phone, they promised to cease the ads within 48 hours...that was several weeks ago. All I want is for them to STOP!

    I have a PFA against a former coworker, who found my new address using Truthfinder. I have been trying for weeks to have my information taken down using their ******************* I am able to validate my information/identity, but as soon as you try to change the status from Displayed to Suppressed, it gives an API Error and wont remove the information. I have contacted the Truthfinder customer service multiple times and no one ever gets back to me. This site is literally endangering the lives of me and my family. Every other site like this quickly and easily removes your information. Truthfinder does not. I cant even imagine how many lives have been lost as a result of this site.

    As of this time, I am not sure of when or if I purchased any service from Truthfinder, but do recall briefly using it. On April 15, 2023, I was notified by My ID Care that my email address had been compromised by Truthfinder and had discovered my password. I have since changed my password but cannot change my email as it is my primary email and would be impossible to inform all of my contacts. I feel Truthfinder is corrupt. I feel this company is not trustworthy. I have no idea how this can be settled other than Truthfinder removing any and all of my information from their records. This will not correct any damage that has already been done but hopefully will prevent further damage.

    I attempted to read all of their Terms of Service and Conditions, but it was extremely ambiguous, lengthy, and time consuming.  Therefore, I attempted to call the contact number on their website:  **************.  I was connected with an ad trying to sell me a medical emergency alert device.  At the same time a call was coming in indicating it was a potential spam call.  I was going to request all of my information be deleted, but then it seem to indicate I would also need to submit a "suppress request" which would therefore mean I was agreeing with all of their terms and conditions.  It seems to be a "darned if I do and a darned if I don't" situation.  I realize they do not control many other businesses, but my major complaint is that my email address was put out there and the password was found and my email was compromised.  Per the security program that is monitoring my email, this has happened twice through Truthfinder.  I can't seem to win!  I do know that it is a website I will not use again.

    Truthfinder told me that I could keep the public from viewing this file.  When I followed the steps there was an error message and it did not work.  My file is public with misleading false fraudulent information.  I accepted the plan however, the problem resolution suggested did not work for me.

    Truthfinder engages in fraudulent, dangerous and dishonest practices. I will also be contacting state and federal authorities.Truthfinder and its partners are sharing incorrect information about me through false data associated with my record on their sites. Truthfinder is also sharing shielded information since I am a victim of domestic violence and stalking.Truthfinder has caused me great harm. As a stalking survivor it is alarming that records sealed by the court to protect me are shown on their site! The combination of FALSE INFORMATION and protected information places me at risk of further financial and personal harm. At this point suppressing my record is not enough because of the companys appalling dishonesty. I want my complete record deleted. At a minimum I want ALL false information and protected information removed!There is ONE account in my maiden name, ******* * ******. It is thus obviously easy to locate yet Truthfinder lied about being unable to locate the record! My married name is also associated in the background check- which I listed when verifying! Again, there is only ONE account. This proves their opt-out option is fraudulent. They use it to force vulnerable people to provide MORE data for their data mining and then refusing to remove the record! I provided addresses for every accurate city and state listed on the report, an email address, and phone number and they still refused to remove the data. The partner sites also require you to add more sensitive information and then also refuse to remove the information! They also shared the private information I used to verify because I have been INUNDATED with SPAM since providing my email address.The only recourse is not suppressing but REMOVING the full background record. It is laden with false information. It is also sharing shielded private information designed to protect me from stalking and domestic abuse! Please help me stop this companys harmful practices against me.

    my account number. ********* I cancelled my membership on May 20, 2023. and received an e-mail. Then I was charge again on June 20, 2023 $28.05. I log on and cancelled again. They didn't cancel and they keep charging me. It's a scam.

    Customers are able to cancel online from within their account, through our Customer Phone Support, or by sending an email to ******************************** After a thorough investigation, we have determined that when ************** canceled ************* PDF and Data Monitoring subscription online on May 20, 2023, the additional subscription for Unlimited Person Reports was not canceled. This is why he continued receiving charges.  

    We can confirm that all subscriptions have now been canceled. As a courtesy, we have refunded Mr. ****** account back to the payment option used to enroll, and no further charges will be incurred. Please do not hesitate to contact our customer service department at ************ with any further questions. We are available to assist you during regular business hours, from 7:00am - 4:00pm Pacific time (10:00am - 7:00pm Eastern time) daily, including weekends. (Holiday hours may vary.)
