Truthfinder is refusing to remove any and all information associated with me. I have opted out several times since I am an ID Theft victim. The Opt Out page is actually a phishing attempt page for more information, while they disregard the law regarding opting out. What's more is that this company and it's affiliates not only sell rifed and often inaccurate information about people against their will and without their permission, they force whoever is opting out to purchase a subscription. Truthfinders does not care who gets raped, stalked, human trafficked or anything else. Their practices are consistent with force fraud and coercion associated with *** and work trafficking and this company and it's affiliates cause physical, sexual emotional personal, professional and financial harm as a result of their flagrant use and sale of ** citizen's personal information. Now, I need any and all information associated with my name removed. Basically, the company refuses to remove information nationally and internationally unless a girl has *** with whoever they presents themselves. Additionally, they refuse to remove defaming information regardless of the stalking and sexual assault that result. THIS COMPANY MAY NOT HOLD, HAVE USE BUT OR SELL, PHISH FOR, SPOOF OR ANY OTHER ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH MY PERSONAL INFORMATION. The date was today, 5/23/2023. I wanted to look up someone on this and I never got a full report just a few dates and addresses that are TOTALLY wrong! I know this person very well and have for 12 years and none of the info I did get was correct! I can't believe they do this. I don't even care to see the rest of the report (if they even have it) Because from what I did see, is so wrong. I want a refund.Business Response

I signed up for ************ on 3/11/2023. On 3/19/2023, I cancelled the subscription and received the confirmation email stating this to be true. On 4/12/2023, I was charged $28.05 in error. On 5/12/2023, I was again charged in error and reached out via phone only to find the number listed on the website to be a bad number. I also reached out via email and have gotten zero response. I am looking for a refund of the two erroneous charges, and confirmation I will no longer be charged going forward.Business Response

According to our records, ************************* purchased two memberships; one was cancelled online, while the other was not, resulting in her recent recurring charges.
We have cancelled all memberships and no additional charges witll be applied. We have also tried to authorize a full refund to her account, however all attempts to process the refund were unsuccessful. ****************** must contact her financial institution for further information regarding the refund, as we have no control over the refund blockage.

I purchased a subscription and then I was told to purchase a pdf form and once I did all of it I was given information from someone else. I looked up different names and nothing came up pertaining the ones I was looking for. I would like a full refund since I feel I was scammed. I cancel it within a few minutes.Business Response

I got a free week trial of their membership. I cancelled within a day and it was to still go until May 13th. The next time I logged in, I could not access the report service (which is also fradulent since I was to have access until the 13th). It said I needed to enter a payment option. Thinking it was just confirming the source I'd already used, I reentered and was charged a full month's worth $28. I already had the free trial and had cancelled and did not want a full month membership. I emailed customer service on May 9th and May 10th and have not heard back about a refund. I signed up for service. Then I canceled my service. I got an email stating it had been canceled and I would not get any more charges. The following month a got changed again. This website, TruthFinder.com, has my personal information listed. It seems to be the same Intelius but with different name. They both use the same "tool" to allow you to remove your information, but this other website (peopleconnect) for removal does not work as it says unable to verify. When I contact them I only get automated response. As Italian citizen I demand that TruthFinder.com immediately remove and delete any data they have as I am protected under GDPR. I found my information on this website. It is incorrect and I do not want this information on their website. I attempted to contact them to remove my information without success. I haven't done further research but I plan to file complaints with the appropriate state and federal authorities if ************ does not remove my personal information.
