    My personal information was breached on my account with Truthfinder on April 15, 2023. Now my email and info are circulating on the dark web. I am locked out of the account so I cannot delete it and remove my information. Truthfinder did not notify me that my information was compromised. I found out through my own credit report. I want my account and all my information deleted from Truthfinder.

    I was searching for best background, file check. Truthfinder claims to have an A+ with the BBB. So I used them. It asks if you want the report for I think $3, then to register. It wasn't clear at all there would be a $50!!!! fee to 'register' with them!!!!! It even asks if you want just a 1 time search or multiple, I chose 1 time only.This is a scam!!! I used another to confirm the accuracy, it was $5.99 to download the report. I went to cancel when USAA sent me to confirm activity. I may file a chargeback, but they obviously snuck my Digital signature in there, thinking I was agreeing to pay for the download.

    This is so deceiptful. The issues of your site billing is compounded by the obfuscation arising from the confusion of the language and layout of your reference page. I believe, I am certain, this is intentional.  I literally chose, 1 time, not even knowing I had already signed up for two months!! There are so many other sites, with clear and UNAMBIGUOUS wording and popups that a user should use.

    I did cancel as soon as I saw the charge, receiving a message about having access for the next two months. Now, it says:

    "Want to reactivate your Background Report Subscription? Reactivate today with just a click."   Does this mean you are refunding the $46.56?

    I want my information removed from their sites. They provided an opt out option, and the instructions force you to search yourself on their databases and then open your profile and click to delete. The searches take a ridiculous amount of time, and honestly make it so you give up and do not remove your information.

    This business has posted fradulent data about me. They have me as being married to a gal I divorced in February 2007. Also has me living in numberous places I've never lived, people I'm supposedly related to that I have no clue who they are, friends that are not so either. Theie records have me as having 4 arrests, when I have never been arrested ever in my entire life, This is slanderous fraud and needs to be removed entirely today. They are a bogus site that has smeered my reputation and possibly someone else that they have manufactured incorrect data linked with mine. TRUTHFINDER, nothing but the facts truth. This business needs to be shut down and confiscate their equipment.

    This company lacks professionalism and attention to details. I've asked them to remove my info and told them that all validation options are not useful because the database is incorrect.     I tried the trial that cost less than five dollars and was sure to cancel that same day. I have included email proof of cancellation and the response. Confirming that my account should have been canceled on March 4, 2023. They assured me I should not be charged for any upcoming payments. However, I was charged two days later and have another charge pending this month for $28.05. I am requesting a refund for charges I was assured, would not be made by ************.

    They falsely advertise they will do a reverse phone look up for free it literally says we will show you the name for free then you do it and have to hit ok 75 times and wait for them to run their report and it take FOREVER then they try to charge you and never show you the name.     hello, my name is ************************* and I am reaching out because nobody seems to want to help me this in company against fraud that was done using my bank card ending in **** and expiration date 12/25. I have 7 charges on my card of $30.54 for this company of TruthFinder.com that I have never authorized to take money or solicited their services. I have tried reaching out to TruthFinder.com and they are no help at all. I am a single mom of 2 kids under 6 and this is very unfair. I only realized the charges because I was printing out the payment for my cell phone for Sprint to show I have paid off my phone in full and noticed these charges. I am asking please to have this refunded to me. I was charged on 7/5/22 - $30.54 and $4.34 , on 8/4/22 - $30.54, 9/5/22- $30.54, 10/5/22-$30.54 , 11/7/22 - $30.54 and 12/13/22 - $30.54. All these charges total $213.78 that was fraudulently taken from my bank account and this company refuses to return my money. Please just return my money. My card that was used ends in **** and the first 6 digits are ****** with the expiration date of 12/25. I just don't know what else to do.

    I do not know the email address that was registered on the Truthfinder.com account because I am not privy to that information. What I do have if the transaction numbers and dates that were debited from my account. And the first 6 digits and last 4 numbers of my card that was used. I cant get that information from anyone. I have also provided screenshots of the transactions debited as well.

    We located an account through the PayPal Transaction IDs and have cancelled and disabled the account, but we are unable to refund the payments due to a pending chargeback.

    A chargeback is a dispute with PayPal, and ************************* should receive an update directly from them regarding the resolution. Generally, the dispute process takes between four and five weeks.

    I cancelled my membership and I was still charged. Turns out they only cancel one of the ads-ons when you try to cancel, and its the cheapest one. This is misleading and seems to be a recurring issue with people given all the complaints. Its deceptive business practices and scamming.
