On August 31, 2023 the California Attorney General’s Office filed a Complaint for Injunctive Relief and Civil Penalties against The Hempacco Company, Inc.. Charges filed allege the business is in violation of California state law prohibiting the illegal sale of inhalable hemp products, failure to warn consumers about the risks these products pose, and unfair business practices.
