    I had an appalling experience with *****, the third-party company ******** A Car uses for tolls and fees. Their practices are not only unethical but seem deliberately designed to extort money from unsuspecting customers.After renting a car from *** at their *********** location (*******************************************, I received a notice from CVMSD about a toll violation fee. Heres the issue: I had already taken full responsibility for the toll violation, contacted Metro Expresslanes directly, and PAID the fee in full. I even provided proof to ACE Rent A Car. Yet, despite all of this, CVMSD persisted in contacting me, claiming I still owed money in "administrative fees."This companys behavior is completely unacceptable. They appear to operate without properly verifying facts, harassing customers even after the issue has been resolved. I demanded they delete all of my personal information and cease contacting me, yet they seem intent on continuing their shady ************ warned: If you rent from ACE Rent A Car, you may be subjected to this unethical nonsense from CVMSD. I strongly advise avoiding both *** and any company that partners with ***** until they take responsibility for this egregious behavior. Save yourself the frustration, time, and potential legal battles.Dont fall victim to CVMSDs predatory practices. Their lack of professionalism and integrity is alarming and unacceptable! They need to be shut down asap and investigated!!!!!*Note, this particular car I rented from ACE had over 400 unpaid violation toll fees dating as far back as 2020.

    Horrible, first ACE is horrible and follow with these scams. We took the advice here and paid directly to ***************** and they're now asking for $50 admin fee. We're not paying, has anything happened to those who did not pay?

    I received a text earlier from this company and it also has to do with renting a car from Ace car rental. I just disputed the charge and hoping Ill be able to stop it. Do not rent from a car rental!

    I received a toll violation notice from them from my ACE car rental. I was told I had to pay $89 immediately. I requested the plate number and they did provide it to me, but told me they could not give me the actual citation number. To pay the fine, I called Metro Express Lanes, gave them the plate, date, time, my name and the rental company address. Paid the $13 toll citation and sent the company the confirmation number. THEN, they told me I still had a $50 administrative fee I was required to pay per my rental agreement. It's a lie, the agreement says nothing about that at all. Don't pay these liars. A $75 "administrative fee" is blatant scamming.

    I too rented a car down in ********* (CarRentalCafe) and two weeks later received a $125 invoice from *****. Thanks to these reviews I dug around and found that SR-54 is operated by SANDAG (********* fastrak). Even though their website says they only manage the 15 and 125, SR 54 is part of the 125. I called them up, paid the $2, had the $40 fee waived since it was the only offense. BTW, CarRentalCafe said it had to be paid through *****. Now a word to the wise when renting a car: you can add the plate to your fastrak and just remove it when you return the vehicle. ****** learned.And eff-off to these scam businesses! WTF!?

    I rented a car from ACE/Mex-Rent-A-Car in October. On 12/15 I received an email from CVM for 2 toll road violations of $106.70 each. Unfortunately I paid the invoice immediately. Then 2 weeks later I received a letter in the mail from TheTollRoads.com, dated 12/20 with a Notice of Toll Evasion for the 2 violations of $6.75 each, and a note that the amount due will be $106.70 each if not paid by 1/19. I called them to explain that I had already paid CVM for this. They stated that they are not affiliated with CVM, that they had not received any payments for these 2 violations and to pay them to avoid late fees. I called the car rental counter at ACE for an explanation and could not find anyone who spoke enough English to carry on a conversation. I submitted all of the documentation to ********** to dispute the credit card charges to CVM, but CVM argued that they were an authorized toll road violations collection agency and so I am out all the money that I paid them - which they did not pay to TheTollRoads.com I cannot explain how they run their scam. They must be in cahoots with ACE to have obtained my rental information and email address.

    This place is a SCAM. do not give them your credit card info. I received a ticket for $50, paid the $50 ticket, yet this company came to me saying I owed $150. They will not give you any proof that they actually paid the ticket. Its a shame CA allows companies like this to still be in business. It's sad they have employees that are okay ripping off people in such ways

    I received an email from @cvmsd.com asking for $60 to pay for a "toll violation" of an rental car I used in ********** 1 month ago (bridge toll). I called bayareafastrak.org, check their number number on their website, talk to a real person, give them the license plate number, the toll invoice was $6. So I directly pay $6 with bayareafastrak.org. Great customer service. Do NOT encourage cvmsd.com for their predatory practices.Is there a no star option here for this company?
