    I use StyleSeat for business purposes and I am hit with a slew of fees monthly. Sometimes when I cash out $200 I only get $140 of my money so this makes me not even want to work with them but I do. I am supposed to receive instant payouts at least one a day and I have not received my payouts until 2-3 days afterwards. Why??this is very inconvenient theres no one to speak with and they keep giving me the run around. I will report and stop using there services going forward after I receive my $$ for the service done !

    Booked a service through StyleSeat on the app for Oct 27. I was attracted by the 15% discount offered if going with this stylist. I booked two services and secured my appointment. While at the appointment the stylist recommended a haircut, which I agreed to. She added it to my StyleSeat booking and upon checking out she asked if I wanted to pay directly with her OR pay through the app. As I was promised a 15% discount through StyleSeat I went through the app. When checking out I noticed slightly inflated costs on the services compared to what the stylist had listed on StyleSeat page. Because I was going through StyleSeat and not the stylist directly she could not comment on the additional costs, but verified the charges posted by StyleSeat were MORE than her prices. She advised that I need to reach out to StyleSeat. Since that date, I have been in contact with the Stylist and StyleSeat. While the Stylist has been very responsive, StyleSeat took over a week to initiate contact and then several days in between to respond to me and on top of that will NOT refund me the "extra" charges they added to my services. NOR do they have someone that can call me to help resolve my issues. How can you store credit card details, incorrectly take payment, have misleading/contradicting information on the app but have no one to speak to you. This has been a very UNPROESSIONAL experience and stressful communication process, I recommend that other customers avoid the app OR pay directly with the provider and NOT StyleSeat.

As they explained in their correspondence, the time you booked your appointment for was a "high-demand" time slot, otherwise known as Smart Pricing, for your Professional. This feature is able to be disabled by your Professional on any appointment they choose. 

    We've attached a screenshot showing what was displayed at the time you booked your appointment. The price that would be charged for each service is displayed, as well as the indicator that this is a high demand time slot with a button that expands with additional details.

    I made an appointment on styleseat for 11/8/23. I received the services, and left the location. I then received a **** tip charge that I didn't authorize. I paid for the service, but didn't authorize a tip.

    I booked a stylist to get a silk press and contacted the stylist to get the correct address to get my hair done. Only the stylist requested that I cancel the appointment. She didnt give an explanation. because its says that if you cancel or dont show up I was charged ***** dollars for my stylist wanting to cancel. That isnt fair and was told I wouldnt be refunded.

    I booked an appointment for a hair braiding. The appointment was booked for 11/4/2023 at 9:45 a.m. When I woke up this morning, I saw that the appointment had been rescheduled for today at 5:45 a.m. Mind you, all of this occurred without my knowledge or consent. In addition, the stylists place of business does not open until 9:00 a.m. Lastly, the stylist does not have an address listed for her place of business, so I would have no way of showing up to the appointment. I contacted the stylist a few hours ago based on my assumption that things were done in error. I didnt receive a response, so I left a review indicating that the stylist likely scammed me. For context, the fee for hair braiding is $65. However, the stylist entered a payment of $65 plus $100 tip (not including StyleSeats service fee). The stylist responded to my comment, and she said that services were provided, she has a copy of my signature, and she would report me for harassment. I was very shocked and upset, as you might imagine. I then listed another negative review, and I filed a formal complaint with StyleSeat. I then sent additional correspondence to the stylist to make her aware of the fraudulent transaction. As you can see, she stated that the money was deposited into her account. She also said that she would ratio my negative reviews with positive ones to ensure that her overall rating remained high. Ive attached all correspondence to this document if needed. Im lucky to only submit payments through StyleSeat, but this type of practice is illegal and extremely concerning. Here is the stylists webpage for your review: **************************************************** am more than happy to provide a copy of my signature and face to dispute any mention of me authorizing payment or being on camera at the stylists shop. I am requesting a full refund plus the StyleSeat booking fee.

    I want StyleSeat to stop holding my credit card hostage. I signed up with StyleSeat in order to make an appointment with a hairstylist. You have to sign up with a credit card, so I used my credit card. I have decided that I no longer want to have my credit card in their system and have tried to cancel my account with ******************, but you have to log in to their website in order to cancel your account with them. ****************** will not allow me to log in in order to cancel my account. I have tried to contact them about canceling my account, but they have not honored my request and are still allowing the hairstylist to charge me. I have been trying to cancel since October 2, 2023.

    Booked a service on Style Seat for October 17th. Went to the address listed and the salon was closed. Tried calling the owner of the salon with no response. She STILL charged me 75 dollars for a leg wax that never happened and claimed I was a no show. Have proof of calling and messaging with no response from the person. Style Seat gives NO opportunity to refute or ask for a refund.

    Scheduled appointment with professional MUA. MUA also has ******************** like most independent MUAs. MUA had 1 low rating but actually answered it and offered a portion of $ back, insisting they had a communication problem. Professional had no address listed and was unresponsive to all communication. Cancelling the appointment would result in a $45 fee. Instead, I locked my card through my bank so it would not be charged at the time of the appointment. Apparently that does not work so I had to dispute the charge. Before the appointment I attempted to contact StyleSeat. There was no customer service number available only email and automatic text answers. My claim still has not been addressed by StyleSeat however my bank is addressing the issue. I fear that StyleSeat is currently overrun with scammers and I wont risk losing more money. Therefore I have deleted my account with them. ****************** does not allow a means for the consumer to protect themselves from fake professionals and therefore has become an unsafe marketplace.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    1. I have attached proof that shows that I used StyleSeat. If you check the account information used in the attachment you will see that I have used StyleSeat for 5+ years in the general area of **********, **. 

    2. User name for my account is ***************************. The email account is ***************

    3. The professionals name is **************************;

    4. The largest issue here, the reason I reject the reply and the reason I will NEVER feel safe using StyleSeat again is because I attempted to contact StyleSeat customer service before the appointment because the professional was unresponsive, has no address or phone number listed and I knew my card would be charged at the appointment time. StyleSeat provided no avenue to report the stylist and customer service consists of canned answers or a request to fill out a form. No actual response or recourse.

    I reject this response because StyleSeat provides no protection against scam accounts or ability to report them. 

    I am rejecting this response because I filled out a complaint form on Saturday prior to my scheduled appointment and as of Monday, Ive only received stating that customer service is very busy. (I wonder why?)

    Lastly, I reject this response because there are hundreds of stories like mine dating back years and StyleSeat has done exactly nothing to protect against it. These complaints, the time we lose, the frustration we experience to gain refunds is acceptable to StyleSeat. Uber restyled its entire app to keep customers safe and keep their confidence. Style Seat simply sits on their hands, collects a fee and accepts no culpability as its platform becomes a haven for con artists.

     I implore the makers of this app to make changes to protect consumers. There will be no future transactions with Style Seat. I received a refund for services that were not rendered. Attentive customer service would have prevented ****** of the BBB complaints which like mine resulted from pure fraud.

    I canceled my appointment well over 24 hours in advance and still got charged the full $170 for the appointment
