Ive been using StyleSeat since 2016, each time there has been a problem with payments. I keep getting an error message about Payouts Ive updated my bank account and within seconds, StyleSeat claims my bank has rejected my payouts so theyve suspended all payoutsEven on the weekends when the bank is closed. I am unable to get my money and its frustrating because theyve taken their cut already yet I still cant receive my funds. Ive called my bank and theyve said theres no issue and they havent received any deposit attempts from StyleSeat. I also paid the $35 a month with they have no problem withdrawing from the same account. Theres no number to call and email is useless. I would like this resolved immediately.Business Response

I used style seat for Services advertise. I contacted a stylist by the name of a ************************* whom was located nearest to me. She advertised lock hairstyles and I reached out to the stylist for an appointment in which the stylist canceled the day of stating she had to work. I asked if she was available the following day and she said no she has to work. I asker her will I be charged since she's cancelling the appointment she stated no. I later then noticed that my card was charged $25 dollars and ironically the stylist is not on style seat anymore. I really try to support businesses but this is horrible. It's not the price but the fact that this service does not verified stylist and is putting there own business in jeopardy from fraudulent so called professionals. This is not ok and I can only imagine how many other people she has done this to.Business Response

Ive been recommended to try the app to gain new clients. Ive made 2 accounts do to the first one i made was deleted for no reason and i was told to try getting my page back up. Once ive made one i didnt receive a boost my page was up for 2 days and then deleted again. *** reached out to serveral stylists who cooperated my story on them deleting accounts for no reason and not giving stylist a boost anymore to help gain new clientsBusiness Response

I booked an appt through this app in which they charged me a $1 booking fee. There was supposed to be a 15% discount so I had to cancel and rebook to get that discount which made my appt cheaper. I then see that ones a charged a $5 booking fee which has never happened. They are saying it depends on the price of the appt. My appt was cheaper the second so why would my fee be higher? I have received no further explanation and want the $5 booking fee back. They refunded the $1 booking fee from the cancellation thats it.Business Response

I booked ***** S to do my daughters hair for April 22nd, I saw her work on ******** and thought she was legit. I reached out via ******** messenger (which is the only contact method I had for her) and booked my appointment for April 22nd. I paid her in full was her policy stated, after I paid her and she confirmed, and her website tried to charge me again luckily my card was turned off. She changed my appointment to April 16th, which is why the website was trying to charge me again and she swears she did not change it. I know for a fact that I didnt change it. I informed her that her website tried to charge me again and she told me to take my card off the website, then proceeded to say it was another $25 for a new customer fee. This was not listed in her policy, which she swears it was, but it wasnt. I kept asking her why my appointment was changed and she kept saying it was no big deal but it was because I booked for April 22nd, not April 16th. I asked to cancel my appointment and she told me I would not get a refund and I was way outside of the cancelation policy and she was the one who changed my appointment to same day. She called me broke and blocked me on ******** because I asked for my money back. I reached out to style seat and was told I could not get a refund because she LIED and created a fake text thread and put my name on it. She literally took my money and did not provide the services I paid for and style seat believing everything she says. The pictures provided are not of my daughter because she never saw her or touched her hair. That is not my daughter in those pictures, I think I know what my own daughter look like. Clearly they are about the stylists and do not care at all about the clients. This girl still scamming people out of their money and she is still allowed to book appointments and scam the next person. I just wanted my money back for services that I never received and Ill report to everybody if I have to.Business Response

I scheduled an appointment through StyleSeat with a hairstylist by the name of ********* but real name *******************************. Shes located in *******, **. Before services, theres a deposit. My hair do was $325.00 for 3 layer braids and deposit for that is $102.00. So my remaining total would be $223. The stylist asked if I could pick up food and it was $80.00.Remaining total now is ******, I paid that in cash. I have proof I paid $102.00 cash app in March for deposit. I have proof the stylist says she refunded it back to me. I have proof I withdrawn $300.00 on day of appointment April 6th. I have proof StyleSeat took $325.00 plus an additional $67.00 out of my bank account. I have proof telling stylists that they took $325.00 and additional $67.00 and she STATED DISPUTE IT WITH MY BANK. She said before that SHE CANCELED IT LIKE SHE ALWAYS DO AND IT WOULD BE BACK ON MY CARD 5-6 business days. Ive been trying to get my money back for the past two weeks. StyleSeat is no help and they want me to reach out to stylist and I have already done that I just want my $392.00. MY NAME ON STYLESEAT IS MEASHA FRAZ. Good Evening,Unfortunately I had a bad experience with Styles Seat app and client. I BOOK AN appointment and Unfortunately the stylist never got back to me regarding the appointment or reached out to give me an exact address so I would like to open an fraud account investigation no one reach out and I drove to the direction that was on the app and as I got to the end of the direction it actually wasn't an address at all. The direction just lead me to the city by its zip code.There is no phone # or Address to contact the stylist So I would like to request A Full Refund and I would like for you to release my funds back to my bank ASAP account due to negligence and fraudulent activity. This is incident has became a Hardship to ******* family because I still need to get my hair done and I paid for a appointment that never happened. So I'll have to pay twice for my hair appointment that I never got. And to be Completely transparent I've been using Their App for some years Now this is my 1st time having a questionable account encounter. I am new to *********** and needed to get my son a hair cut. I found a ****** with good rating. Nevertheless, he uses a pay app to make reservations and pay. The app *************** me that I had to give a credit card to make a reservation. I texted a stylist and booked an appointment on Friday, March 31 for a same day appointment. I booked as a guest through a link the stylist gave me v. booking how I usually book which is through the app. The appointment was $110, but after I booked the reservation, I was immediately charged $132. I have been using the app for 9 years and have always been charged a $1 booking fee right away. I'm usually charged the full amount an hour after my reservation or while Im still getting my hair done. This was the first time I was charged full amount immediately for making an appointment, so I thought that I was being scammed or the link I was sent was not a valid link. I didnt want to reach out to the stylist because *** never booked with her and was immediately charged and didnt trust the entire interaction. So I contacted my bank to figure out why I was charged and to reverse the charge. The $132 charge fell off and then I was recharged the $110. I reached out to the stylist and explained what happened on my end. The stylist didn't respond, so I contacted styleseat requesting a refund. The stylist denied giving me a refund for a No Show. I explained that I was charged incorrectly and immediately. I explained that this was not something that usually happens, so I didn't trust her. They will not be refunding me, so Im disputing the charges and filing a complaint here because this happens too often with this app. IT has no protection against scammers and unprofessional stylists. the customer service does not protect clients and takes the side of the stylist regardless.Business Response

Booked an appointment 4/5/2023 at 1pm. The service said it would be $40. The booking fee was supposed to be $1.48. They took $1.48 booking fee plus $65.00 for the service 20 seconds after booking. I read reviews and realized I had tips turned on to 20% which is where the extra came from. Well now I would like a refund before Im charged another fee for cancellation. My calendar says no appointments were booked. I received an email saying thank you for booking and everything was confirmed. Then received a text that said I had to finalize my appointment by adding my card but that it wouldnt be charged. Too much confusing. I just want a full refund.
